I think it really comes down to back in the day when it was just the cold war non composite mbts it’s wasn’t as bad but nowadays especially with volumetric and modern aircraft and modern tanks it has become so blatant it’s not even funny.
You’ll always have Russian players coping by saying the Abrams slaughtered years and years ago when it came out which by the way was short lived. And when the 2A5 came out and you know what gaijin did? They immediately nerfed its composite into the ground in comparison to how it was and released the T80BVM from 2018 lmao.
Find a single time Gaijin ever nerfed a Russian tanks armor or gimped their armor. Because guess what it never happened. But oh they’ll gimp all nato ERA and composites except the Moderna which apparently Slovakia has a nato T72 with better ERA than the M1A2 or Challenger 2.
The Redditors and Forum users should never be trusted because they try to gaslight themselves into believing cope Russian propaganda because they bought too many Premiums and spent too much money on the game so they have to mald in the comments every War Thunder video denying Russian bias to get their moneys worth.

I always wondered why Russia had so many prototypes in their tech tree, especially when the vast majority of them were either never built, never saw combat, or broke every time it was turned on.
What prototypes weren't built may I ask because as far as I know most if not all maybe not a weird prenuim was built

This is also completely ignoring the vast amount of German Prototypes that were never built and or never worked/saw battle. (Maus, E100, VK 3002 just a proto panther, Ostwind ii, Kugelblitz, Raketenautomat, Leopard 2k ) The Ostwind 2 is my favorite examples of German Bias, Easily showing germany has the absolute best SPAA every aspect of the game while every other nation has just technicals, The Germans get a Tank that never existed even on paper or theory, Just pulled out of nowhere, given a second barrel and more ammo just cause germany.

@@lepiss9683 The vast majority of T-34s were utter dogshit, especially those produced during WW2, guzzled fuel, ammo and were poorly welded/assembled. Crew comfort was abysmal, leading to far worse crew performance which is one of the reasons why so few 'tank aces' survived the war. The T-62 was a good solid design, but was cheapened for mass production resulting in the dumpster fire that is the T-72. T-72s have horrid horsepower/ton, low speed, poor reactive mobility, and have to be plastered in ERA to even have a fraction of a chance to survive a hit. The T-80s have their merits, and are a vast improvement over the T-72s in every way but are the minority of Russian armour.

Ya the breach and lower hull armour is missing. Plus the turret rotation is wrong, I've talked to and seen a Type 10s turret swing in person it's a lot faster than 30 degrees a second

The entire turret armor is missing, the gun plate is just one of those plating. Japan said the "turret side armor can withstand it's own shell" yet the only armor is this tiny chunk in the turret.

@@wallachia4797well it seems Gaijin doubts those claims as well. Im not going to argue if the armor is that good or if it isn’t, but they just straight up gave it no armor at all. 20mm can pen the front of a main battle tank from 2014. There has gotta be something wrong with that.
I would also add that Russia gets an event vehicle in every single major event except for some battle passes. It wouldn't shock me if they have more event vehicles that Israel has vehicles in total.

@@memo57708 Yeah they get a lot but it's not literally every event that they get something. Current event doesn't have a US event vehicle for example. Can't say the same for Russia save for a few battle passes and the crafting event with the furry tiger. They also got skipped for one years summer event because of the IS-7 event happening before that event. Other than that it's something every single event without fail.
The german top tier lineup was like 50% event vehicles last year
Don't forget the time someone datamined a bit of arbitrary code that suddenly boosted armour v APDS at an angle most Soviet vehicles happened to have their upper glacis sloped at.
There was another one, I can barely remember how exactly it was worded and coded but t34 had substantially lowered chance to catch on fire, it was in the very beginning of tanks mode and got exposed the moment data miners showed up in community. Also tiger2 with historical armor debuff XD but that was official as they were THAT delusional to just single that one out and not their beloved t34s for example that failed to 50mm< shells before they got their hands on metalurgical thermometers from allies.

@@ICECAPPEDSKYThat’s not true. All the M1A2’s after the first few dozen mfg, and all of the SEPs had the DU armor array in the hull. Unclassified documents state there being a hull armor upgrade, and although it is ambiguous, it states it received the same armor upgrade as other models that are confirmed to have had it. There are also SEP V1 testing vehicles shown with counter weights strapped to the hull armor to simulate the additional DU inserts. It’s also fairly obvious based off of the vehicle’s weight changes.

As someone who has plenty of time in the Abrams in game its annoying.
I mostly play the SEP and I rarely do anymore because the tank is such a piece of shit to play. The tank in game is so lazy it's model is an M1A1 with a few bits tacked on and the armor is the same as the base M1.
They refuse to add its depleted uranium inserts to the hull and turret. Which are Gen 3 and should show noticable improvement over the HC and A2 base.
But it doesn't. It doesn't at all. It's copy paste garbage and overlooks everything that the SEP gets as improvements.
Especially for it being an 05' model.
As mentioned, the favourism towards russian ground vehicles has been there since the beginning of ground battles. I still can't forget Gaijin's reply on why german tanks don't have the actual *DARK* grey camo instead of this super light grey. It's because *"It would make german tanks harder to spot."* Not to mention some of the german tanks (Tigers H, StuG III G, Nashorn, Panther A... you know, the strong vehicles) having a desert camo as their default when the vast majority of maps are NOT desert...

Don't forget that as an advertised feature for a bit, German tanks had a debuff to their armor to "simulate manufacturing issues".
But let's just ignore the fact the vast majority of T-34's produced had extremely poor build quality, frequently with cracks and actual holes in the armor.
@@DaisiesTC T-34s have a random chance to miss certain components (optics, radio, FPE, air vent., etc.) to simulate rushed production. Russian crews is now less combat effective due to ration shortage.

When the ERA update came and only USSR vehicle have them first, they also suspiciously put an update that made HEAT as the default round instead of researchable one.
Oh also when the "rockets will not trigger AA missiles" update, they made a specific set of rule that some rockets with specific diameter still can detonate the AA missiles, and you guess it, those specific diameter rockets are all russian rockets 💀

Any British, German and most American tanks I shoot in an AMX-30 gets turned into a matchbox.
Quite literally yesterday I shot two HEAT shells shells into a T-55 (just standard T-55, not even the AM variant with ERA).
First shot made the driver and gunner orange; russian player misses because he's bad.
Second shot in, driver dies, gunner becomes red; russian shoots my fuel tank, it explodes.
Take your mind off killing any of the T-55 AMs that are being spammed by premium kiddies.

@@HL1_ I can kill T55s, but they are not fun to play against at all and there's literally nothing you can do when the game just decides to not work, such as in the situation I described above.
For context: the T-80 BVM was adopted by Russia in 2017. The M1A2 SEP was adopted by the US in 1999. The problem is Gaijin is so unwilling to give other countries their modern equipment. The U.S. (who I’m just gonna keep using as an example) has M829A3 and A4 APFSDS in real life designed to counter the Russian ERA in the game.
Well, the most modern tank of the US is the M1A2 SEPv4, almost no new things just better ERA.
I think gaijin should add the M1A2 SEPv4 and the Leopard 2A7 or atleast some Leopard 2A6 variants which are better than the regular that we got in WT.
America in warthunder is so hella nerfed compared to other nations. Then again if they gave the us every single new bell and whistle everyone else will suffer
@@hdehilter9016 SEP V2 and V3 technically have advanced DU armor thats better than the M1A2 as even the SEPV3 has an elongated turret front for more NERA. Also I believe all M1A2 should have 50.1 mm UFP not the 38.1 mm UFP.
I argue that this comes down to the fact that Gaijin takes zero account of doctrinal differences. Every army designs, produces, deploys and utilizes its vehicles based on its fighting doctrine. Russian tanks were never meant to go toe-to-toe with their NATO adversaries (propaganda claims aside). The idea was that it might take 3 T-72's to destroy an M1 Abrams, but because the T-72 is cheaper to produce and maintain and requires one less crew and less training...you'd have 4 T-72's to every 1 M1 Abrams. The problem is that the game takes zero account of these factors. If we went with the real, period-for-period, full realism experience then Russian teams would need to be 2-3 times the size of NATO teams and you can imagine where the bitching would be at then.
Just the same, Gaijin pays zero attention to the actual, doctrinal complexities of calling for artillery fire, calling for CAS, etc. In the Russian military, these are usually battalion, brigade or division level approvals (based on comms intercepts in Ukraine), meaning it usually takes significantly longer for artillery or CAS to land on station. In the US, this is dessiminated to a much lower level with even NCO's trained to call for artillery and air support and more extensive usage of strike aircraft being 'on-station'. Just another example of how Gaijin's refusal to take any account of doctrine has a direct, negative effect on any claimed 'realism' in their game.

you relize that the t-72 is a simplified weaker t-64 designed in the 60's while the first Abrams was launched in the 80's ......so it was never meant to fight the Abrams or other 80's NATO tanks......it was meant to fight the m60's and be cheaper less complex than the t-64 to mass proudoce and supply to alliase and poor 3rd world countries.... which makes you very wrong......if we are real in here then most Japanese and German tech tree at the end of ww2 wouldn't exist because they never left the drawing board😂

I remember back in the day when tanks first came out and it was T-54s, IS-4Ms fighting Panthers and Tiger IIs, and the Russian tanks were literally completely invulnerable.
I remember playing the CBT and getting rolled by KV-1 zis-5 in my panzer 3 L and M every single game
It's crazy how broken the Volumetrics on russian tanks are. As soon as the enemy team spawns in their KV-1's the tide of the battle completely changes. Same as T-34's. They have no reason to be as impossible to pen as they are...
You could just aim for weak spots, like the turret cheeks of t34s and the upper glacis of KV and IS tanks. If a Russian tank survives a few hits, its "Russian bias" but I have had matches in the Tiger 2 or Tiger where I have tanked 30+ hits, but no one screams about "German bias". Every nation has strong BRs like Germany 5.3, and to be honest Russian tanks are relatively easy to counter if you know where to aim, and even if you cant pen someone from the front, you can always destroy his track and barrel then flank him.
@@howardzhang5421 This is going to be unpopular chief, but I really think Germany 5.3 isn't as good as people crack it up to be.
I used to be a German main back when I started out in the game (typical wehraboo) and I would get completely dumped-on (back when Tiger Is had to face American T34s).
Since then, I moved on to France where I have a KD of 1.8-2.3 in most of my tanks (not great, but pretty acceptable I would say).
Even now, with Germany supposedly being "buffed" down at 5.3 and me having close to 2000 hours in the game, my KD on the Tiger H1 is 0.9, it's a horrible performance.
You can say it's a skill issue but I don't know why I perform decently on a neglected tech tree such as France while massively underperforming in a "baby" lineup like Germany 5.3.

I will take an ARL-44 over a Panther any day of the week and I will take a French Jumbo over a Tiger in my sleep.
I also think Germany's mid-tier heavy TD (ferdinand, jagdtiger etc.) are a complete slog to play through and I want to throw my monitor out the window whenever I play them. On the other hand, the CA Lorraine and the Foch are absolute gifts to God's green Earth.
Apart from the upper tiers (from the Leopard I going up), I actually think German tanks are pretty crap, that's been my experience anyways.
The German-Finnish KV-1 and the KV-1B are impossible to kill. (atleast in an M4A2 75, plus my teammates in other vehicles) Normal KV-1s and T-34s (STZ downwards) are super easy to kill. For the normal KV-1s, aim for the flat cheek on the side of the turret.
@@howardzhang5421well to be fair in ww2 the weakness of the russian t34 was pretty much it’s entire body, they cut so many corners that the Russians sold them all off to other countries because they were bad for even russian standards

The Panther has volumetric cheeks problem too but at least you often CAN pen. With the T-34 or KV-1 ye just bloody can't.
It doesn't matter if you know the weakspots or not when being 1mm off has volumetrics telling you to piss off.

i had 5 matches as US 10.3 4 matches were US Britain (and some other country) VS primarily USSR and germany. All 5 mathes were defeats, and in all 5 we were trapped in our spawn by the half way mark. even the one match with germany, we still lost. all 5 games the enemy team almost mostly soviet tanks
Fighting against a team that says USSR, China, and Sweden is a guaranteed death sentence from 10.0 and up. Hell just USSR by itself or just with China alongside it is enough to be certain defeat
Dude same thing happened to me last night, i was playing 10.3 us against ussr and i shit u not out of the 15-20 matches i played, the average game length was like 2 MAYBE 3 minutes because ussr would wipe my team then push and camp our spawns
Russia is the most dominant at top tier. The US and Germany are contenders for 2nd place. Even if you fight solely Russia, there's a decent chance you'll still lose. Basically unless the entire Russian team is braindead, you're kinda screwed. I quit playing top tier because US vehicles are so damn expensive with repair costs and it's much harder to break even.
@@connor22abrams4 i completely understand and agree, ive been playing for a few years now, i have mid to top tier us ground and maxed us air with mid tier ussr ground and top tier air, i can say for a fact that you are 1000% correct. Ussr is cheaper and more efficient per game where as us struggles. Now with air its a fair balance because i play tons of sim so i incorporate those tactics into rb or ab which helps immensely. Although it still seems like certain russian planes take 100’s of missles and gun hit without taking much damage where as if i get my wings hit once by a ussr gun my whole plane loses control yet they dont? Its pure ussr bias and not a single dev has tried to fix it. Instead they give them more buffs and better vehicles whilst leaving every other country behind

I'd say the most egregious issue is how hard it seems to ammo rack Russian MBTs with the carousel auto-loader system. I'v seen countless clips of people shooting it only for a ammo shell to just go black and apparently eat the round up. Meanwhile in real life, Russian MBTs get there turret launched into the sky and completely destroyed when the ammo is hit.
It's not even the autoloaders.
I've noticed this in the past year or so, but 2/10 times I shoot a Russian ammorack (no matter the tank or the BR) it just doesn't blow up and the shells I shot disappear.
2/10 might not seem like a lot, but this phenomenon doesn't happen when I shoot any other tanks, and it's not normal at all.
Russian tanks die when I shoot them in the side. What's the problem? This should be easy to test should it not?

Many of the matches I play against Russia at top tier end in my team being killed in spawn by Migs and KA’s. The fact that the BVM can move faster than most light vehicles while being the most heavily armored MBT in the game is insane as well. Only reason I touch my Russian top tier lineup anymore is if I want to shut my brain off.
I’m half convinced a lot of tanks in the USSR tech tree especially the MBT’s have artificial boosts in either horsepower or Torque values to make them faster. I mean hell I’m pretty sure the final drives they have in game actually let them go faster than they realistically could.
I mean look at the T34’s and KV1’s those I know for a fact are too fast. The T34’s and KV’s had notoriously shit transmissions making the tanks only realistically driving 10-12mph. Meanwhile in warthunder they out accelerate and outrun almost everything at their br.
But yeah back to the point there’s something fishy with Russian mbt speed to be sure
Also funny how kv2 max on road speed irl is the kv2 max offroad speed in game and even then it can exceed it lol quite stupid tbh and lets not forget tanks with 120hp and weigh 8 tons more then an american tank with 350hp but somehow its faster in every way even though russian tanks have some the most primative transmissions out of any tank at every time in history
also a damaged autoloader somehow still spins and loads the round in 4 seconds

Happens to all tanks with unarmored fuel tanks. Its more apparant on the T-34s as its side on. Fuel tanks IRL can eat shrapanel but i suggest they nerf how much it can eat in game for all tanks.

Other examples like what you mentioned with the BMP-2M, but the opposite happened. The M3A3 Bradley was originally raised in BR because the TOW-2B missiles were really good. They then proceeded to nerf the TOW-2B to utter uselessness and at the same time raised the vehicle's BR to 9.3. INVALIDATING THE ENTIRE REASON FOR THE BR RAISE MAKING IT ESSENTIALLY A DOUBLE-NERF! (Same BR as the BMP-2M that got buffed when it was raised by the way).
NOW, after they nerfed ATGMs again to the point that TOW missiles just fire into the ground and are basically uncontrollable, the M3A3 Bradley has been further raised to 10.0! TEN POINT ZERO!!! A slow, fat, vehicle that has to come to a complete stop and wait TWO WHOLE SECONDS to even fire it's shitty missile is 10.0 BR.
The German Kugelblitz suffered the same double-nerf treatment. It was raised to 7.0 BR because it's penetration for it's HVAP round was near 100mm so it could play an anti-ground role as well as anti-air. THEY NERFED THE HVAP ROUND AT THE SAME TIME THEY RAISED THE BR, AGAIN INVALIDATING THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF THE BR NERF! Now the kugel sits as the only 7.0 BR vehicle in the entire german tech tree meaning NOBODY PLAYS IT ANYMORE. It was nerfed so hard, they essentially nerfed it out of the game.

Not only does the M3 have to wait to deploy the launcher it also has to be at a complete standstill to fire them and only has 2 in its launcher.
The BMP2M has a lower profile, has 4 missiles and can fire them on the move.
The Bradley in game also folds down its launcher at 17kph something that is usually done at higher speeds to protect the launcher and prevent it from being damaged. In a combat scenario the crew would never do that.
They should make a button to make it manually deployable similar to the radar on some SPAA
Dont forget they reduced the hvap belts from the kugel from full belt of 91mm pen to 1/3 Hvap that only pen 77mm at 7.0 and at the same time there is the M53 / 59 at 6.3 with full hvap belt with 91mm pen both same Firerrate

I've played plenty both as and against ussr top tier and I don't struggle 1shotting them from the side and I go for disabling shots from the front just like I do against nato tanks.

That's not a fact, that's just a false claim. The lists of vehicles added in the updates are easily accessible and if you had at least a single look at them you'd know that in past 5 updates, literally every tree got at least 1 vehicle and almost every tree got at least 1 plane. Also in almost every single update there is at least one tree that gets as many, or even more vehicles than Russia.

So how did you mean it? Because as far as I know, updates are the main source of vehicles that are being added - in that case I can just repeat what I said - in every update almost every tree gets at least 1 vehicle of each class - you can look it up and check for yourself.
If you meant event or battle pass vehicles then yes, Russia gets one in almost every event/season. But so does USA, Germany and quite often also Britain and even Gaijin's arguably least favourite tree - France - again, you can look it up and check for yourself.

this is a fact. there's a video where a guy tests stingers vs a SU-25, and it took him 21 stingers to the cockpit to actually take "destroy" it. but even then, it was only a pilot KO, the plane was perfectly fine and carried on flying. its been reported so many times, and never gets fixed. instead, they give them another SU-25 or variant of it. meanwhile, A-10 destroyed by one stinger. same for the Jaguar. same for the Mirage. the only plane that tanks literally 20+ stingers is the SU-25/35.
Let's not forget the Ka50 (and 52's) magical ability to have their tail shot off (getting you a kill), but yet, they remain alive and well for at least another 30 to 60 seconds. Long enough to rack up some more kills. I've got a replay where I managed to shoot the tail off a Ka50 with my Challenger, got a kill notification, and the guy remained in the air without too many problems for another minute, racking up 3 kills before finally falling out of the sky - and I'm almost guessing that's because he J'd out voluntarily.

I think IS6 dont have another layer of armor but an magical shield system: it runs through an check to see if the cannon ball has 350mm(or 300mm) pen left and if not just nullify the shot.

Also, it's the knock on effects of things like the Pantsir and KA50/52 etc... The pantsir is so OP that it destroys all friendly CAS, which means you have no air support, whilst the skies are filled with Russian jets and helicopters. The KA helis's killing other helis so easily from range to the point you can't even pop your head over a hill. The helis just sat above their helipad spamming vikhr's across the map without even needing to get into danger.. despite me seeing a video recently of a real KA50 boasting a 'rare' 10km strike where the missile was not very responsive, was wiggling all over the place, the camera view shaking. In WT you can hit 10km with laser accuracy. You shoot a KA50 in the face and it somehow says 'tail damage' and we all know that it has no tail rotor so it's basically an excuse to let it live longer... for a shot to the face, somehow? Every top tier ground RB game I play is just frustrating. If I could veto Russia out of the game and just play against the other nations I'd be much happier and actually enjoy it. Can't wait to see how they get spoilt in this new update where every other nation gets mediocre crap.

Literally me. I still haven't gotten to top tier russia yet, still at around rank 4 and 5, but i finished the british, german, japanese, sweden, american and currently doin my french line ups. Zero interest in playing russia just for quality of life.

Obj 279e is the only truly broken tank in the USSR lineup. the other, arguably more broken tank and the most broken tank in the game imo and most of the community would agree is the T95/FV4201 chieftain which is british. There is a good variety for strong tanks at tier 10, not just russian. Obj 277, obj 268 v4 and obj140 are the only really good tech tree USSR tanks at tier 10. IS-7 is still strong but other nations have more competitive heavy tanks. 60TP, Super Conqueror, VZ 55, etc.
I'm so glad you mentioned the Su-25 because it is the most annoying aircraft to me for all the reasons you mentioned but also because as someone who has flown both it and the A-10 in CAS operations in ground RB, it enrages me to no end that I've had the Su-25 eat up to 4 SAMs, fly home, and repair. Still, the A-10 takes x1 7mm round from a panzer MG. It bursts into flames and breaks my traction control systems for the tail... despite my understanding that the A-10 has the durability and redundant systems to allow it to be controllable while missing an engine, half a wing, and half a tail.
and the Pantsir-S pisses me off to no end because of its insane range. because the 20km range is good for "gameplay and balance", they can take away NATO tank features, I could have sworn that the M1A2 had some kind of tracking computer that would detect, range, and lead a target for the crew. if it does have that, it probably was "removed for game balance". I could be wrong, I'm not very knowledgeable with tanks. I'd be more than happy if they reduced that range to 10-12km for the sake of game balance but I know it'll never come. the only hope of getting through that SAM is it being on your team or Gaijin deciding to unbalance the game by giving the USAF the F-117 and B-2 stealth bombers... which I'm struggling to see happen cause it wouldn't be "fair".
Correct. IRL A-10 is a FAR superior system to SU-25, but that's the problem. Gaijin can't accept that so they feel the need to trash the US because the Amis are just better.

good examples for this are the T55am1 and amd1 sitting at the same br 8.7 as the things like the t55m for finland but being a upgraded version with comsite and with aps and the biggest injustice being the object 120 with its 152mm gun with 405mm pen apfsds being downtiered from 7.7 to 7.3 before being uptiered to 8.0 in the recent changes, this puts it back to the were it was at 7.7 basicly. its stupid.

The T-55AMD is just a T-55 with an APS which is pretty rubbish. The T-55AM-1 is a T-55 with good turret armour. The hull is pretty weak and the gun handling on both is pretty pathetic. It's a T-55, like, how is a T-55 so hard to kill? Just aim to the right of the gun and he's harmless. Or just smack his cupola with APHE. It's not that hard.

I got the Challenger 2 like past week, literally lost all the matches against USSR, while somehow my shots directly to ammo racks/ fuel tanks, the ERA just somehow deletes my round. Since then i got back to chally 1
people will say gaijin isn't Russian anymore because it moved to Hungary (a tax haven btw) so it cant be bias, but it doesn't change the fact most of the team working on War Thunder still is Russian and using public Russian documents to "Balance" these tanks which are dubious at best
Also I would like to bring attention to the CR2's bugs/issues in game as I mostly use them:
1. When turning (worst if moving about 6mph or 10kmph) the inside track does not stop so your turn radius and speed is drastically worse.
2. The TES and 2F have the same armour values on the ERA with the TES being 5.8T heavier.
3. The ERA on the CR2 is 150% less effective against chemical rounds and 833.33% less effective against kinetic rounds than the T-80BVM's Relict ERA (I'm calling bullshit on that (also the Relict has different stats on the side rather than the front and turret although its the same)).
4. The armoured bins for the charges are about 25-30mm thick not 5mm.
5. No light tanks or any moderately fast vehicles other than the CR2E (which should be in the export line with the Vickers btw) to support your line up.
(my current line up is: CR2, CR2, CR2, CR2, CR2, ADATS*, Warrior**, Harrier GR.7, AH Mk.1 Apache)

Definitely agree with you- especially with naval (arcade). Having a line-up with the SKR-7, PE8 nuke (30 second reload and easy to evade ship AA), I-185, and two speed boats makes matches a bully-fest with the only difficulties being other SK-7s on enemy teams. There isn't much point in playing other nation coastal vessels when the SKR-7 exists at 4.3 to bully other nations.
And don't forget the Pr.406 and 406 M

The SU25 is a joke. Stingers obviously arent the best anti air missiles but even then it can deal with aircraft with relative ease. Planes like the A10 might take 2 or in some cases even 3 hits to take down but I routinely see the SU25 take upwards of 5 stingers without any noticeable change to flight performance.
While spading the SU25 in air RB it would always take at least 2 missiles or a full spray from the enemy to actually kill me. 7 times out of 10 the first hit would do barely any damage that impacted the flight performance.

Glad to see someone talking about the SKR-1/7 problem. I've seen so many games in which they just drive right into the enemy boat spawn. Even if you torpedo them in the tiny invulnerable window you have, they often just survive. I've given up on playing most other nations in Naval, because it's just a chore to run against the SKR wall.

The german tech tree is one of the strongest in the game having very competetive lineups at almost every BR.

Well if you have wasted more than 20+ d. playtime of your life on ground you may be able to not getting oneshotet cross the map from other 50+ d. near unkillable 4 staks tryhards on russian tonks (279).
If you have like 30+ d. playtime you could get in a fight without dien oneshot.
But second shot will end your game. :)
Above 40+ d. playtime you are able to get kills in a german tank bevor the other tank shots its shot on 1km range or more.
All that, if the game even would work proper. (Ghost shells, ping, etc.)

From what I heard, the tiger 2 105 was added into the game to counter the is 4m that was how broken the is 4m was that they tried to give germany a make believe tank and they still couldn't counter the is 4m.
I still remember having to fight the 4M with a tiger 1.

i know you don’t play naval much, but as someone who plays mainly Italy, we had to suffer with no dreadnought/capital warship for over a full year. and in that time frame they added multiple russian top tier capital ships, and i had to fight them with only a Zara and Pola. real fun :)
I feel the trolly armor ever time I play. I was in a T20, I flank and shot an IS2 in the turret with M62 which has a lot of filler in it. I penetrated the turret and only made the breech yellow and then it killed me

im at 10.3. at that br its usually 4-6 su25s and 3-4 helis. while my shitty gepard doesnt lock shit and the 4 little missiles get easily flared.
Also one more advantage that cames to my mind, the number of vehicles in a russian lineup. On every major BR you outnumber the rest of the nations by alot. You can spawn in a long game like 6 - 7 times without any backup used.

Tbf the entire rest of the upper plate is easily penned by any 75+ mm gun

My first nation was Britian, getting to top tier with that was pure pain, then i get the T-80UK and feel sad as i just ransack everyone of they're fun. Oh and so far i've only got nukes with russia, i've been close with germany and britian but only successfully got them and dropped them with russia. My first one was with the IS-6 then immeadiately next match got my 2nd, oh and getting nukes in the T-80, who has to worry about getting shot down when you've got the best SPAA and Heli's in the game. Always kept the whole russian bias thing at arms length, i believed in it but just kinda ignored it then playing the T-80 makes me just feel depressed at how rampant it actually is.

There's proof in the Ukraine War that 3BM25 can pen the upper front plate of a T80, but in game, the L27 round sometimes fails to go through the drivers hatch
Hell the 2A5 and Abrams round can’t do shit either even when basic bitch non uranium M829 was able to frontally pen T72’s and T64’s with easy from over 500-1km away in real life. Which by the way that includes the turret. That’s right M829 the basic round could lol pen a T72 and T64’s turret
Don't forget L27A1 was developed by using a T80U purchased from Russia and yet it cannot pen point blank in game without aiming for the drivers periscope, madness

L/55 DM53 and M829A2 were designed to defeat Kontact 5 equipped Russian MBT's from up to 2000-3000m out.
In game these same rounds get caught by even kontact 1 and does 0 damage. Kontact 5 at point blank can tank the rounds made specifically to defeat it.
And another side tangent. Where the fuck is M829A3 and L28A1?
Oh yes, and let's not forget how the object 279 can go and literally take on top-tier MBTs and still come out on top.
It's extremely frustrating playing almost exclusively on American tech trees and having to deal with the Russian bias garbage. It's very refreshing seeing so many agree that the bias not only exists, but it's out of control, regardless off the cultural reasons. For a while I thought that it was just me being bad at the game, no matter how many guides I watched, or how much I practiced, because most of the time I die its because of Russian vehicles.
My win rate with the T80BVM is 72% that is INSANE whereas my win rate with the Leo 2a6 is 51% and the M1A2 SEP is 43% if that isn’t bias I don’t know what is
That's not bias that's just you doing good with a certain playstyle
2A6 used to be king before the BVM and the Abrams before that. If the conclusion behind the reasoning for the imbalance is Russian bias then why has Russia not always been the best?

And the M1 Abrams hasn’t been relevant since it was raised in br and left to rot. The Abrams had a solid few months of being the best tank at it’s br before that was shut down.
Russia consistently held the meta in the palm of its hand across the br brackets timeline wise since warthunder was created. The only prayer is when gaijin every now and then gives nato a new tank but then again nothing in the game can pen Russian tanks except for the dinner plate sized driver hatch and lower plate which never spalls anyway

If you're arguing that this is proof of Russian bias then you can provide evidence of the manipulated values, that shouldn't be too difficult. The 2A7 will come. I'm not sure what you're asking for. Are you asking for Gaijin to modify the values to be incorrect for the sake of balance (I'm not opposed to this), or are you suggesting Gaijin is intentionally giving false values for either the NATO or the Russian tanks. The latter should be easy to prove if that is the case.
As for it 'seeming' like Russian tanks are rigged to perform abnormally, this is easy to test. Go and test it. Short testing with my friend and I see no issues. I play all nations and all nations cause problems. If those issues are skewed then it should be measurable. Not only measurable but detectable in the coding. I haven't seen evidence of this either.

The Mig 29 was a response to the f15 and f16, 2 of the best fighter jets to ever be build. Meanwhile the counter to those jets was terrible against the f15 and f16, BUT in war thunder it is the best jet in game…
2s38 gained the "op" reputation not only because is strong but because the breech wasn't in the right position. you had to shoot below the turret ring to damage it
2S38 being added before it was even in service and going through trials. It deserves to be 10.3-10.7, if my 9040s are being uptiered it should be too.

Add to the list the IS-6 is a mix of the normal piston engine version (lower weight) and the electric version (more engine power).
I have saved a good replay. Very symbolic. Tier 8.3 all nations vs ussr. After 2 minutes from the start usrr captured all bases and started to spawn camp us. After 3 minutes 70% of my team was gone.

Funny thing about the IS-3, just checked out the armor on it versus the shot L1G, 480mm of pen, like 130 on the slope IIRC. IS-3 had 900mm of effective armor which the conqueror could pen. It couldn’t however pen the 400mm effective parts. Anyways it’s almost impossible to pen that thing frontally now after the APDS buff, weird right. Could shoot through it head on at any range before. Now it can’t even pen the pike sides from a horizontal angle at point blank LOL
Speaking of premium placements, the premium Russian P-39N is at Tier III while the regular one is rank II, making it one of the most popular grinders in the game.

I've noticed recently, with the announcement of the Indian T-90 in the British tree, a load of Russian players were crying because only the Russian tree should have the T-90.
2:42 To be fair that happens to all unarmored fuel tanks eating shrapnel. Side shots of Leopard 2s, Leclercs, Type 90s of their fuel tanks can eat side shots. Abram's fuel tanks produced spall cause of the plate behind their fuel tanks BUT it should still be reduced considering the Abrams has spall liners. Fuel tanks IRL can eat quite a a lot of shrapnel but they should still nerf how much shrapnel it absorbs.
Japans AA problem could be solved with something as simple as the Type 91 Kai being added. A stinger that can pull 22gs, heavier weight and bigger warhead, immune to DRICM and all IRCM and can't be flared, and can be launched as long as the IRST seeker on the vehicle can lock the enemy air asset (up to 6km from their tests).
