So the piece of artillery shown in the video was moved somewhere or anywhere such as where it is sitting right now onto ships during the Civil War with horses or donkeys+buggies? Is that right?
A fascinating location and glad you covered this. To think of how much manufacturing went on here during the Civil War. Really enjoyed seeing the remnants and learning the history of this place.
As a matter-of-fact Robert Ely was stationed there he worked on that Ford he also built the fort across from it called Fort wool which sits in the mouth of the Chesapeake and the the harbor there in Hampton Roads

Need to do a history of Fort Monroe in Virginia
I’ll add it to the list. I’ll definitely be back in Virginia sometime soon hopefully.
@@ProjectPast1565 yes I was stationed in Fort Monroe back in the 70s when it was an active post very historical Fort really need is really cool
