I spoke with Dorothy about this song and she told me that her father abused her as a child. Out of respect for her I will not reveal the details but this woman went through hell! Upon his death this song was written. Most people would have gone into deep depression but Dorothy went for her dream of being a singer. That takes fortitude and strength. She is a true survivor who refused to let the past dictate her future. I have so much respect for this girl! That is what I call determination and attitude! She said " I will not let the pain of my past destroy my future". How many could do that? Not many!
Anything that Dorothy Martin sings comes out flawlessly and resonates with power. That chick can sing.
Saw her in concert a couple of weeks ago. Can't wait for the next time she comes around... and yes severely underrated.
Great suggestion Rowan!!! Absolutely love her voice!

This song was #1 requested song on KLOS Los Angeles months ago. That how I found out about Dorothy.
And to think I discovered this song cause it was over a tiktok. Absolutely love it!! Thank you for the reaction and you’re welcome ❤❤
Dorothy kicks ass!!! Please react to more
A voice like Ann Wilson crossed with Janis Joplin, and looks like Angelina Jolie crossed with Scarlett Johansson. Pretty deadly combo in my book.
