- Taking a kick from Tawanchai PK Saenchai is like getting hit with a sledgehammer. Because, while blocking might work most of the time, there’s a chance that your bones will break under the pressure.

I really enjoy how he fights always with supreme calmness composure and precision, like hes solving a math equition rather than fighting in a ring.
angerless
His footwork definitely sets him apart. He's so good at creating the right distances while also setting himself up for combos/counters. Also the way he interrupts his own rhythm to throw his opponent off is crazy. It's why he always looks like he's in control and never overextending, yet he lands with knockout power.
He looks utterly unstoppable. If he masters wrestling and/or ground fighting too, I can see him become the best pound for pound fighter in the world, no joke.
Not to be disrespectful but grappling it's another whole world and I don't see him beating guys that have been doing it since kids(still one of the most dangerous strikers in the world for sure)
MMA striking is different, he would not be able to fight like he does in MMA
Lol
@@San-oe1xv As I said, if he starts to excel at wreastling or grappling, he will be!
He lost to joe tho
Finally, someone’s talking about this guy. I’ve been looking for analysis vid since I’ve discovered him and couldn’t find any. Long time fan, thanks for the content.
So glad that Tawanchai is finally getting noticed. He is a superlative Muy Thai fighter. Future GOAT!
I think people have been noticing him awhile now.
this guy has been a star since like 14 years old
He's got 130 winstreak but I just heard his name just now
The boy is superstar in thailand for a decade. Onechampionship bring him up internationally
I like the comparison with the GOAT iron shin Ernesto Hoost.
He is the only other person I've seen break his opponents arn with a kick. And he did that to a prime Jérôme Le Banner, the French champ who was build like a tank!
Yeah saying a fighter has a kick like Hoost is pretty much one of the greatest compliments you can give them haha. Hard to think of a better power kicker than Hoost, only 4 or 5 come to mind to compete and most of them are Muay Thai guys from Thailand.
More people have done it than you would think.
Cung Le broke Frank Shamrock's arm with a kick
Quite a few fighters have done, including one of the GOATS Poatan :)
Le banner took damage previously being in a tournament, I’d this this is more impressive as they’re both fresh
The way he fakes his roundhouse into a front kick is beautiful. Fun fact, Bas Rutten was a vocal advocate of this technique and used it in many of his Pancrase bouts.
I first saw it on Bas Rutten's MMA DVD set and would drill it in the gym when I was healthy enough to train regularly. Landed it in the one kickboxing bout I was in.
one thing i noticed is when he L-steps, instead of bringing his right leg forward back into stance, he slowly lifts it like he is going to then explodes into his side teep. the opponent doesnt have the time to react to the quick acceleration and break in rhythm
That's exactly right, it's part of how he breaks his rhythm. He always explodes forwards between the normal stepping patterns, off beat.
Incredible video! Love seeing these type of thorough technique breakdown for different combat sports!
His technique is so clean and always practical , it’s just beautifull to watch.
I remember watching a random fight of his, and I thought to myself i’ve never seen a fighter look so calm and relaxed he almost looked bored in the fight dude is the real deal.
What a good breakdown! Well done! I really love that teep into a side kick. I have never seen any thaiboxers do that before.
HELL YEAH
keep it up tmma this video warmed my heart, i know you have good ins with glory so you keep covering their fighters but lets not beat around the bush we just simply dont care too mutch. But this? This is somebody at the top of the sport and in modern day too, great work!
Tawanchai's kicks are devestating but Superbon ate his kicks(often to the body) like they were nothing.
Thank you for this! Tawanchai is my favorite One fighter. Great Breakdown of such an amazing and skilled fighter. Rarely you see a such technical fighter posses extreme power too
Hey David been watching your great videos for a while. You are without a doubt the best fighting analyst on UA-cam!❤
Thank you!
For sure- great work and 🙏 thanks
Great breakdown! The fight with Petchmorakot, who is a superb fighter, is one of my favorites matches.
I'd love to see an analysis on Noiri Masaaki for the smooth combinations and mixing knees and boxing and kicking fluidly
Second!
@@bibekjung7404 Ok
Amen. Best knees in the game bar none.
@keion_arknights "in the game bar none" - what's this new game called 'bar none'.
A very subtle technique of his seems to be facial expressions -- he smiles and make his opponent briefly relax like they're sharing a moment, and then unleash a combo flurry
Beautiful! I love these muay thai breakdowns
Another great breakdown on an awesome striker !!! Will we get some videos on Takeru (since he's scheduled to fight Rodtang) and Superbon too ?
Hopefully Superbon if I have the time! One is great about working with me on this kind of stuff so I'm sure they're very open to Superbon.
Your videos bring me such joy. Thank you.
Glad to hear it!
So happy ONE fighters are getting love.
Cold and as brutal as the iceberg against the Titanic
Tawanchi is one of the best fighters I've ever seen, in any discipline. I found him by accident a few years ago, and watching him fight is like watching a dance of destruction, I can't say enough good things about him. I'm a boxer, not a kickboxer, and I can't help but imagine him as a middleweight boxer...wow!
the trick is to counter the rotation of your kick with your hip so the kick is like a whip and helps you with balancing. The speed makes up for the power lost in how kicks are usually thrown.
What I like w thank kid is that is a true and moral warrior.
He respects his opponents.
He is human and great athlete.
I see other fighters they are criminals.
They want to destroy, to harm even to kill some times.
This guy when he sees his opponent down he retreats calmly and he is not jumping at him punching a many times unconscious person.
These guys have primitive instincts and not respect at all.
He is an exemplary warrior... someone who is teaching skills and respect as well.
May God bless him.
great skills, handsome, trains with master Seanchai also guarantee good discipline. This guy will be a legendary.
Future goat for sure. He has it all - speed, power, defense and perhaps most importantly, timing.
Superbon will give Tawanchai a run for his money in the kicking department! Super hyped for that one.
I like watching his fights, he is so relaxed. Reminds me a bit like Cro Cop, nothing to worry about in the stand up strikes
Shin bone strength is one of the key advantages Thai fighters usually have over foreign Muay Thai fighters of similar builds who adopted the sport later in life. Western fighters usually has the height and arm reach advantage, but you're not going to find one that's been conditioning their Shin bones since before their teens. That's why kicks from Thai Muay Thai guys are more likely to break bones than most. Should look at fights betweem Thais and Cambodias, the Cambodian fighter regularly end up with broken arm or leg after entering the ring against a Thai.
Tawanchai is pretty tall for a thai fighter .even thai people are getting taller as time goes by we will see thai 6.2 fighters in the next generation
Gonna try and get to see him vs Superbon this month. He's insane.
great breakdown
Tawanchai really playing Street Fighter irl with those microsteps and set ups man
Haven't heard the intro song before. Sounds great!
I love this channel
I'd love to see him and John Haggerty fight one day. That would be an interesting matchup. But, it'll depend if they ever end up in the same weight division.
His blitz jab is a really important tool for him starts all his combos and pressure
background soundtrack is excellent
We live in an era of truly great Thai Boxers. (If I were but forty years younger.)
Thanks for sharing with us! I'm sure I'm not alone in absorbing all I can from your analysis and breakdowns. Which I pass on to my own students. I think this is the best boxing channel on UA-cam. Thanks again.
Laoshr #60
Ching Yi Kung Fu Association
Thai Boxing peaked in the 80s and 90s, straight killers everywhere during that time, also there was way more money and prestige in the sport back then too
this is what ive been waiting for
His muscle from legs , body and hands look very strong , training from childhood up to present built His strenght , His blow can knock out most of His opponent
Thank you for blurring that broken arm
A video on how to develop iron shins would be very cool
i remember the CroCop vs Fedor video. never let a slugger a chance to move forward.
You never really block a kick from Taiwanchai
1:30 hearing you absolutely butcher louisville being a kentucky native was the funniest part of the entire video
I know this is not about the video, but can you do the mythical fighters of mma or boxing?
I love using the teep sidekick when I can, but the thing is, sometimes my sparing partner will say that's cheating because it's neither a teep nor a round kick.
His kicks have a Savate inspired hop step in them. esp for his teeps.
Do a video on Kyoji Horiguchi! Would love to see your take on Karate in MMA
great idea
That fight with Kiria make some people ask, "What should I do when opponent kick?" while thinking about Kiria do something wrong lol.
Yes, more thai boxing and kick boxing, could i suggest rukiya anpo and maybe revisiting lerdsila.
His kick-to-close-range-punch shuts down the opponent's kicks, and guarantees that the opponent can only respond with punch counters, which he already has setups for
His technique is a thing of beauty, with very little tell.
Great break down. Thanks
Great video, you should do masato next
It may sound crazy, but an Armwrestling Breakdown from you would be fantastic. Larratt vs Cyplenkov 2. Check it out. Larratt says armwrestling is a miniature martial art.
Can you do a breakdown from the Filipino flash nonito donaire
Can u make a video on Roberto Duran too pls
Finally broke em down .🤣 peace & love ,I study this channel
00:03 The ref must have heard a/the crack,
or 'screech' from the opponent after that kick.
100ms after the kick the ref's mouth goes
agape/gasp, and immediately looks to the
arm and calls the fight, the arm is also 'screened'
out at that point. I don't recall seeing anyone
with faster kicks than Tawanchai's, not this kick
particularly, but all the other high kicks.
A real seasoned pro
I think that Tawanchai himself would say that those kicks that Modern Martial Artist says are feigned are actually strategy recalculations.
What a nice guy. He even wears fluorescent green socks just so his opponent know how the lights were turned off xD
Tawanchai's bones aren't just stronger than yours on a 1:1 basis, his tibia is stronger than your femur, and his tarsals/metatarsals are stronger than your skull. That's the kind of strength you only get from kicking everything and everyone from the age of 7.
Cro Cop mastered the high kick knockout. Ernesto Hoost mastered the low kick. Tawanchai does it all. If Tawanchai got good at boxing and takedown defense, he'd slaughter his way through the MMA ranks.
What’s the song called from 1:26?
superbon video next?
Can you make video about third fight between ali and norton please :(
Cedric doumbe breakdown next
Do a Subriel Matias breakdown
Best teep/push kick in the game right now
He looks like Dennis To. The young Man's Hair doesn't get Tousled during his Fights.
Geez. This guy is a monster! You never realize how complex fighting is until you have reviews and breakdowns. Thank you!
His teep is insanely fast and powerful. Can be the GOAT no doubt.
I was going to say that, too! Damn, I would love to teep like him. So AWESOME and hilarious to watch.
Can u do one about Dany bill 🙏
His punching techniques are so unique not like boxing
his boxing is soooo goood
this dude really said "LEWIS ville slugger" XD
Masato kobayashi explained?
He seems laidback, is it his kicks and punch are pinpoint precision. His shin must be the hardest.
Superbon blocked it a few times. What a fight.
Binging this at 3am interesting
The never mentioned the contant reajusting of the boxers and thumbing his nose. The ultimate 4D chess move to distract his opponents, you think he's relaxing for a second but out of nowhere comes the sledge hammer.
What happens when the GOAT of Thai featherweight gets a good pupil? This Monster
I love tawanchai
Him vs Petch would be an insane fight. If you think Ta is good, look up Petch in glory kickboxing
Can we get a dmitry bivol video
FINALLY!
"If do right, no can defense!".
He is a muay thai fighter but i can also see some elements of taekwando, karate and kickboxing on his style.
Lol.
He reminds me of a robot, cool, calm, calculated and deadly.
Bro is so cool
i want to see what he can do in the ufc
He is intelligent just like Buakaw. All the moves he made same as Buakaw. The Thai kick is just like that they don’t move much because power comes from the hip. They just turn their hip to swing the leg.
Same Johan ghazali..17year oldd
Can he fight Johan ghazali
When he was defeated by Sittichai the key seemed to be grabbing his legs.
I'm nervous about the Superbon fight, because he's no slouch, but his fans seem oblivious that TWC is capable of delivering a head kick KO as well. lol
The best defense to fight this kind of fighter is to attack. Because from the video i see he is atacking when his oponent guarding, so from the video he look attacking with no worry tobe countered
