I thought Ginnungagap would be a lot more lifeless bleak, but it turned out to be the most colorful and awesome stage in the game.

This isn’t Ginnungagap. This place is where the ice of Niflheim and the fires of Muspel met. Its INSIDE of the void, but no more or less than the other realms are, if that makes sense. As an analogy it be like saying we’re inside the Big Bang. It’s technically true since the Universe WAS the Big Bang, but it’s state has changed over time.

The game does a auto save with them alrdy stunned ready to be finished.. I reloaded that save like 7 times. That father/son execution was fuckin amazing.

@@josetomas3272 Idk man. Sigrun has very easy to read patterns. And yeah I fought her on gmgow. Got to the point where I could kill her in about 2 minutes on average with the zeus armor. But gna seems a little more random. For example sigrun would most of the time fly to the right before hitting you with a jab that wasn’t block able. Gna does the same. But gna also does random jabs a lotttt. Sigrun would random jab sometimes as well but i feel like gna does it way more often. Maybe I just need to get used to her a little more tho

There's just something about it that I love and probably always will love
That line goes hard, comes after that supplication to Odin for power, goes perfectly with the music, AND it's delivered flawlessly by the voice actor. Can't get much better than that.

The moment when Kratos was standing in front of Atreus' bear form is the most majestic scene I have ever seen in this game.
I just love the look they give to each other at the end, no words just silent acknowledgment of each other's abilities to kill battle goddesses
This fight scene alone could have won the GOTY

This fight may have been easy, but it was worth every penny for the struggle. We got an allusion to Spartan Rage for Atreus, but they styled it onto his shape-shifting powers, which we helped Kratos struggle with, and teach control... but seeing that "L3+R3" notorious command, and hearing Kratos roar while Atreus roared in unison mid-shift into Bear was SO FUCKING BADASS. And seeing Atreus beat the brakes off these Valkyries with a level of strength on par with his old man, and the icing on the cake; the iconic shot of them BODYING a Valkyrie each, in their own way...
"Boy is all grown up! He fights like his old man, and in his own way..." was my first response. I actually felt the silent pride in Kratos, seeing this finisher. This is the Game, telling you he's finally ready...
I think it being "easy" is a nod to the fact that they already destroyed the original valkyries in GOW 2018. I spent forever fighting Sigrun on max difficulty.. so it feels natural, and really good, that these two nobodies get absolutely bodied by Kratos and an Atraeus that can now fend for himself.

Honestly I love the sound that accompanies the valkyries as they come hurtling straight at you through the air I loved facing off against them in the previous entry, albeit this time around what I know of the endgame I'm not too impressed but i haven't played enough of it to form a concrete opinion on it
The sound is exactly the same as the previous entry or perhaps even better

I know everyone is talking about the badass tag team action at 5:28 and yes it is glorious but for me the cherry on the top was the Valkrie victory theme that plas as Atreus reverts back to human form.

This is one of my favorite boss fights in the God of War games. Kratos and Atreus (bear form) standing there after the fight is one of those most badass father son moments.
The background in this fight though. So beautiful

Every single time Kratos' theme plays in this game, it is such an EPIC moment (and I hate the word "epic")
there's just no other way to describe it. This story is so good. Brought tears to my eyes, made me smile, laugh, hell, I even feel proud of Atraeus and he's not even mine... or real. This scene was PERFECT at showing his growth.

Wish I we could watch this without the slowmo. I remember playing the start of ending and was like "Jesus, why are they whooping him like that?" Then the rage kicked in and proceeded into the most badass sequence of this entire game
Neither of them attempted to take the horn or the mask. Without the horn, they can’t enter Asgard. And the mask is the one thing Odin wants.
From the code it is understood that they wanted the mask and Atreus, probably because only he could use it since he is one of the few giants alive at this point.

I rushed through the story so I was severely underleveled for this fight😂damn this was a tough one for me.
After watching so many Shirrako boss fights, I can conclude that Shirrako doesn't know how to use the Draupnir Spear. XD
who cares lmao. he's obviously playing on easy or normal, so there's no reason for him to even use all the tools at his disposal when every fight is a cakewalk no matter what you do. Humans are creatures of habit.

I love how Atreus and Kratos constantly attack whoever is attacking the other. When a valkyrie is attacking Kratos, Atreus immediately swats them away as a bear and when Atreus is being attacked, Kratos socks them in the face. They're so dedicated to keeping each other safe

I just finished this fight and my game glitched so all I got was a floating bear head so sad that I didn't get the full experience so i came here to see the actual sequence

This fight was awesome, but I thought it was going to be harder. I'm playing give me no mercy and it only took 2 tries. Meanwhile some of the beserker fights took like 2 hours.
Most of the story bosses are easier than the side ones. This one in particular i suspect because theres a very good chance you wont have a revive stone. For me though, it did not even slightly take away from the thrill of it.
I played this boss fight on GMGOW I died 4 times. Mostly to me being anxious but these weren’t to bad. The beserkers are a mother fucker they get harder and harder
