Hi Guys, if you have any questions let me know and I'll try my best to answer!
i had the same problem with the tongue. I just bent it a few times with some pilers and now its comfy.
Yep! Threadlock blue, not the red! It’s perfect for cleats, keeps them solid no vibrating loose. My pal used red , which ruined his shoes! Simp,e as that. Thanks for your vid. Not sure about those shoes though.
Numbness in the toes is something I've dealt with for years. I just got some special insoles to try out and hope it helps some. Good luck with your new shoes, they look nice!
Numb toes could be coming from the crappy insole (ALL shoes no matter how expensive come with crappy insoles) so buy good ones (specialized body geometry are great! they come in low, medium and high arch support variations (color coded) and really help a lot). Numb toes can also come from bad positioning of the cleats, have you done a proper fitment on them? From the video it didn't look like it so make sure you do that (there's tons of videos on youtube on how to do it).
Yeah I've just done a basic fit of the cleats, I tried to match them to my old shoes. A few more rides later and most of the numbness has gone away. I think my feet just took some time getting used to the new pressure points etc
I have Specialized road shoes - wore them in my first 200 mile race this year and the tightness of the toe box made my feet hurt pretty bad. They were new and not broken in, though. I’ve put probably another 4,000 miles in with them since, and they feel better. Maybe I’ve just gotten used to them.
200 miles is not a regular ride... 😂😂
I don't think I'll be doing anything like that anytime soon!
Glad to hear they got better though. Maybe if you were to do the 200miler again they'd be alright by the end?
@@JMower yeah, no problems at all now. I’ve done 200, 186, 174, & 150 mile rides with them and everything has been great, though I may be wearing them out at this point. How are your shoes performing now that you’re getting more miles in them?
@@ericbarnettcycling They're definitely a bit softer, but still on the 2hour+ rides I definitely get some numbness in the toes. I'll probably head down to the specalized store and see if I can get a shoe insert if it doesn't get better over time
