Question....where did you buy the pump kit from? As well, I'm assuming you plug in the freezer and keep it running to cool the water when you're not using it? The reason I'm asking is I've seen videos that use a fridge but just for holding the water. They don't plug it in...and do you add ice to it or was that ice formed from just plugging it in? Awesome video btw, best I've seen yet!!!

I wouldn’t recommend painting the inside with this liner. After 3 months it has started to flake off. So far I haven’t found a paint that can handle the freezing conditions.

Could you do a video of a step-by-step lesson on how you assemble the external pump and Ozonator and temperature controller...I'm confused on your video a bit... What is plugged into the power bar coming off of the temperature controller where it's labeled cooling and heating? Its a very specific plug configuration and at some point in your video something is plugged into that cooling receptacle....whats plugged into there?
thank you for this excellent video! I am on my 72nd day of cold bathing in a water recovery tank. but the temperature starts to rise too quickly. I was looking to make a new one with a freezer. do you have the reference for the black water fittings please? I can't find any to cross the walls? can't wait to see the second video, I also hope to be able to finalize mine by then!
That's great Nicolas. If you are talking about the black fittings that pass through the side they are 1/2 inch tank bulkheads which I got from our local irrigation store. I have found something similar on eBay. Update video will be out this weekend.
Cheers Chris. Yeah the lining did crack on the silicon. There is a primer that I should have used. I talk about it in the update video we recently put out.
I have noticed a small leak which I think might be from getting in and out of the bath so much. There is a lot of weight with all the water in it and I think it might have flexed a bit and the water has pushed through a crack in the sikaflex. Not too much of a problem. I can seal it up next time it is empty.
Hey there i have a question regarding my chest freezer inside the freezer i have a thermometer that’s a part of the chest. Now do i completely seal this or remove it? or do i seal around its edges only? i’m not sure if this thermometer is waterproof
There wouldn't be many HR Holdens left at a guess (even though a lot were made). My first car, got one when I was 17 and had it for 17 years, cannot remember the last time I saw one.
AMAZING! I would be very interested in purchasing one of these from you guys. The market is hot for these right now, but the cheapest ones out there are going for $2000 USD. If you could come in under that, I think you would make an absolute killing. Please let me know if you end up selling these!
Love it! Just bought a freezer myself. What about the weight if the water? Did you have to add supports underneath? If not, have you noticed any sagging?
Thank you for the video. @ 5:03 can you give me details about the piece used for the temperature probe to stick in. What part and size is that? Any link is much appreciated.
I'm currently sealing my chest freezer and I love the look of the liner. What grit of sandpaper did you use to prep the surface of the inside and was it by hand or a orbital sander? Absolutely amazing cold plunge
Thanks. We only used scotch bite to scuff up the alloy. Maybe it would be better to use something a little more abrasive as the liner is starting to bubble up around the top edge.
Great ice bath! One question.... When i switch on my freezer, filled with water to cool it down, it get extremly hot on the outside. Is this normal and do you have the same experience?
Nice job. I'm interested to see how the raptor lining holds up. Apparently some people in the DIY cold plunge community had theirs come off. Could have been poor prep work though. I'm looking into doing something like this myself, so trying to find out what the best way to go about it is.
Cheers. I've noticed the lining coming off a bit on on the silicon joins. We probably should have done another coat or maybe primed the silicon like we did the plastic. I'll talk about it more in the update video we will do soon.
I’m currently building one now but I’m using epoxy to paint it. Next time perhaps raptor coat first then seal it. Epoxy won’t stick to the silicone and I can’t see why the raptor coat would be any different. 😊
@@shanebarton929 I’ve never had a problem with the Raptor sticking to silicon on any of the cars I have built but I guess they aren’t sitting in freezing cold water😳. There is a primer available that is for silicon I’ve seen used on truck beds. Probably something I would use if I was going to build another one.
Awesome job guys, I'm not as handy as you so I am getting a professional to spray Line X in my chest freezer and just going to rely on some pool chlorine for sanitation. Will just have to pump the water out every few months but your setup would be great. I suppose later down the line I could go down the solutions you've got by drilling in from the outside but I reckon I'll just keep it simple.
Thanks Joe. Even though it didn’t cost that much in parts, it did take us quite a few hours. We are lucky that our workshop to build custom cars does make it easy to build almost anything.
@@ProShop1 just checking in again for a question. How does this Raptor liner compare to Line X XS-100? That is the equivalent grade the guy I am getting mine done with will use, he said he doesn't stock the heavier duty XS-350 stuff
@@joek292 I was going to use Linex at first but I would of had to of paid someone to do it as it uses a different system to what I have. We already use the Raptor system here so we went with that. Whatever liner you choose would be fine as a truck bed would get a lot more abuse than an ice bath.
When is the sequel supposed to be released? Very interesting build! It would be nice also if you could tell more about the benefits you’ve gotten so far.
How did you fit the tap in the outlet? I’d like to fit one in mine. I am going the DIY route and don’t have much idea about these little things. Any help would be appreciated.
The raptor liner has started to flake off up around the top edge where the ice forms. Had a small leak in the silicon which I think was from the weight of all the water. I’ve recently redone the liner and are about to put out another video on it.
Thanks Thomas. Yes we did it through Feb however I am continuing through to 40 days... maybe even longer. I'm feeling pretty good at the moment. I added a particle filter as well which is keeping the water clean. I'm yet to have the water tested to see how the ozone is working. I'll let you know when we do the update video.
Cheers Simon. The pump flows at 15L per hours. It's only small but seems to be doing the job. The water quality appears to be fine as well after 2 months of using it everyday.
Thanks Morgan. We used one bottle on the inside and two on the outside however I would use another one on the inside as it’s showing a few little cracks on the silicon joins.
That ratorliner… is that unhealty in any ways.. alot of these liners off gases all the time even after it is hardent.. do you know any thing about that?? Because i would like to print mine too.. 🤷♂️😊
I screwed it in the corners and only went through the metal a couple of millimetres. It was only to really hold it while the glue dried. I guess I just could have clamped it.
Guys this looks amazing. Awesome job, best DIY ice bath I’ve seen on UA-cam 👏. You’ve given me some good ideas for my chest freezer conversion, thank you for the vid! One question, would I be able to apply the Raptor coating with a roller or a paint brush? I don’t have a spray gun and that stuff looks really good…
Thanks mate. After 6 months the Raptor is starting to bubble up around the top edge. It seems the condensation is getting between the layers and making it lift. We were going to use a pond liner but someone else commented that the same is happening to theirs. It won’t look as good but it might be better off without a liner.
Any chance I could grab a list of the items used including pipes and fittings? This is a great idea. I don’t like the idea of power cords running through the bath either.
Nice cold plunge🥶🥶. Just a couple questions. How did you install the tap at the drain location? Do you know if raptor coating is potable water storage safe?
The drain outlet is plastic so I just screwed on the tap fitting. A little thread tape to seal and it was done. I'm not sure about the Raptor lining. If you are worried about chemicals leeching into the water someone else commented maybe try a pond sealer.
Is the caulk working well for sealing the seems? Caulk usually remains rubbery while I believe the Razor Coating is pretty hard. Are they staying stuck together and sealed?
@@ProShop1 with your talent I’m sure you sanded it properly. Maybe it’s the aluminum and some sort of electronic corrosion? I’m guessing Pond Shield is back on top as the best liner?
@@kennruckey I’m pretty sure the condensation from the freezing builds up between the layers causing it to lift. Someone in the comments said it happened with their pondliner too.
Thanks Daniel. I drilled out the hole and used the tap fitting to screw it into the plastic. I go through it in detail in the next video which will be out this weekend.
Do you think you should have put the filter in and out at opposite ends to ensure complete filtration? It will only end up filtering the pocket of water at one end with them next to each other.
hi, great video 🙌. I have my chest freezer and raptor is on order. Can i check did you do anything to prep the metal surface inside first e.g. rubbed with alcohol and scratched the surface up etc?
Hi Alex. You should check out our latest update video as we found out the Raptor is holding up too well. We prepped the surface by roughing it and cleaning with wax and grease but it has started to flake off in some sections. I would recommend a pond liner. We are about to redo ours with Pond Armor. It is non toxic and has a greater temperature adhesion range.
Thank you. This is the best one I’ve seen around. Really like what you did with the Ozone Generator and not having electrical/pumps inside

I am going the DIY route and don’t have much idea about these little things.
Any help would be appreciated.
The outlet was roughly the same size as the tap so with a little thread tape I just screwed it in the hole.
Regarding the raptor liner and leaks, Have you had any leaks? Just got my freezer and starting the ice bath project.
The raptor liner has started to flake off up around the top edge where the ice forms. Had a small leak in the silicon which I think was from the weight of all the water. I’ve recently redone the liner and are about to put out another video on it.
This is awesome! I'm assuming the 28 days were over Feb? How did it go? Did the ozone/ pump help keep the tub clean?
Thanks Thomas. Yes we did it through Feb however I am continuing through to 40 days... maybe even longer. I'm feeling pretty good at the moment. I added a particle filter as well which is keeping the water clean. I'm yet to have the water tested to see how the ozone is working. I'll let you know when we do the update video.
Hey, really nice set up! What was the size of water pump that you used? liters per hour? Also, how's the water quality keeping up? Thanks
Cheers Simon. The pump flows at 15L per hours. It's only small but seems to be doing the job. The water quality appears to be fine as well after 2 months of using it everyday.
How is the sealant holding up after a year? Would you change anything in your design?
The sealant was fine however the lining started to flake off. We have recently put a new liner in and will be doing an update soon
@@ProShop1 Interesting, thank you.
do you have a detailed parts list?
Love it. About to do the same to my freezer. How many bottles of raptor liner did you end up using?
Thanks Morgan. We used one bottle on the inside and two on the outside however I would use another one on the inside as it’s showing a few little cracks on the silicon joins.
That ratorliner… is that unhealty in any ways.. alot of these liners off gases all the time even after it is hardent.. do you know any thing about that?? Because i would like to print mine too.. 🤷♂️😊
Hey mate, how did you fix the panel with all the electrics onto the side of the chest freezer without piercing the coil/pipes or motor?
@@ProShop1 good to know, thanks mate!
Any chance I could grab a list of the items used including pipes and fittings? This is a great idea. I don’t like the idea of power cords running through the bath either.
I'll go through it all in the update video coming soon as we have made a couple of changes.
@@ProShop1 looking forward to it. I used pond armor to seal the inside its non toxic zero leaks with groovy color!
Thanks @@abartkett00. That’s a great idea.
Is there any way you can do a quick video on the diagram and setup used to mock up the pump and electrical?
I'll go through it in the update video coming this weekend
Amazingly job! Where’s the update video?
Coming this weekend
So fricking cool!!!
Quite literally
Is the caulk working well for sealing the seems? Caulk usually remains rubbery while I believe the Razor Coating is pretty hard. Are they staying stuck together and sealed?
The Raptor lining is starting to lift away from the inside. We are going to do an update video soon to cover this problem
How did you attach the tap to the drain plug? Great vid
Thanks Daniel. I drilled out the hole and used the tap fitting to screw it into the plastic. I go through it in detail in the next video which will be out this weekend.
@@ProShop1 thank you! And where did you source the tank bungs?
If you were selling this I'd totally buy it! But at the same time I think it would be a fun project to make myself one :) awesome job
Thank you. We have had a lot of interest in making these for other people. It might be something we offer soon.
sweet trueno
Thanks for noticing Dennis
Do you think you should have put the filter in and out at opposite ends to ensure complete filtration? It will only end up filtering the pocket of water at one end with them next to each other.
Yeah but I didn't want to run the lines around the outside. I have recently changed it to draw from the drain so it does circulate better.
@@ProShop1how many inches above the opening in the back did you make the opening for the tank bulktudes
Hey legends. What pump did you use?
Can you please tell me what pomp do you use. How can i find it exactly like yours. Thank you

hi, great video 🙌.
What water pump did you use??
