Mod name: Stalker 'Diana', Diana`s Secret
Mod description:
This is a story about a girl who lost her father many years ago-he disappeared in the Exclusion Zone. But one night, a phone call drastically changed her life. Some stranger told her that he had a package for her. After saying this, the stranger left a backpack filled to the brim with artifacts on her porch and left. The poor girl was astonished when she saw that her father's PDA was lying on top of the artifacts. She sells the artifacts, finds someone who tells her how to get into the Exclusion Zone, and sets off in search of her father.

fun fact - this mod had a fan made 2023 remaster which fixes many issues and make the mod more enjoyable while keeping the charm of the original, I don't think it has translation but there is a more modern version of it
edit: oh I see this version also has no translation

i had a very turbulent childhood
You could've found lots of those mods in pirate disk kiosks in post-Soviet countries (without the author's permission to sell the mod, most of the time) back in late 00s and early 10s.
Worth noticing that most of the times pirates also tried to stuff as many content on one disc as possible, mixing both official games and mods, cutting sounds/music or other stuff from the game's files, frequently corrupting the game by doing so (so, you'd be lucky if you were able to play one or two shitty mods out of 9 the disc promised)
