Would you be able to do a crash course for beginners? Like just some basic exercises to strengthen your breath and control - my biggest problem as someone who really enjoys singing but hasn't ever been trained is I run out of breath so easily on long notes. I also sometimes have trouble accessing my chest voice and transitioning from higher to lower notes
i can keep a note going for quite a while before loosing breath and i was also never trained however i have trouble getting into head voice once i start singing and cant get out of it once i do get it. another big big problem would be the inconsistent vibrato of my voice.. maybe thats just cause im nervous but still a singing 101 would be awesome
A good way to start I think would be looking up choir vocal warm ups. We had to do a lot of work on diaphragm and sustained breathing. 5-10 min every day and that sort of strength builds up.
check out Dots Singing & Music School on UA-cam it has exercises with instructions about technique, there's not talking on it though. Actually the exercises mentioned are on this channel too.
I had to wait until I was home alone for this, because theres no way anyone in my family is gonna hear this, but it worked! I'm so happy I felt the sensation for like the first time! My mix still definitely needs work, but I'm just happy Im able to use it on command now
@@viennawaitsforyouuu7694 yeah I feel like I'm alright at lower notes and using my chest voice but whenever I try mix or use my head voice, I feel like a lot of air comes through and if fix that, I go out of tune! I have no idea what I'm doing 😅
Literally did these exercises all like 3 times then went back to singing the same song I'd been singing before I did them and it was already so much stronger and felt so much better so thank you so, so, so much!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I have had years of singing lessons and have never had a teacher who has been able to teach me how to mix. I've always struggled to bridge the gap between my head and chest voice and now it's much more comfortable thanks to you!
Hannah is providing VALUE!!! It is evident that she cares about all of her viewers and she does an excellent job showing it. Keep up the great work. :)
Thank you so much! Your videos have helped so much. Before your videos and tik tok, I could only go up to D5 and it it was all unstable and shouty chest voice. Now I can solidly mix up to a G5 and when singing certain things I can take it even higher! Like Veronica's riff at the end of Beautiful I can now take up to C6. Your advice has done wonders for my voice and I'm actually proud of my singing now!
It's sad seeing this video getting so few views when the reaction videos explode D: I have nothing but love for the reactions but these types deserve sooo many views
I've been looking everywhere on how to get a stronger mix and NO ONE has mentioned passages and bridges or any of the things you did and even after this one video I feel so much more confident in my voice!! Thank you!!
Could you please do a video on chest voice, I can access my chest voice but feel like it’s too heavy and has tension that then ruins my mix! Love your videos💕
will have to look through the videos to find what it means for there to be “resistance” on your vocal chords from using mixed voice? These videos have gotten me into really looking up the mechanics of the voice and understanding what is actually happening, love it!
@Haritha Subramanian I tried faking it a while ago before I knew it was bad and now when I do it I can't tell if it's natural not. I'm kinda scared lol
i've been struggling with finding my mixed voice for the longest time. it's literally the solution to all my singing problems. i'll get there someday though.
Could you please do a video on how to sing without sounding nasally😔 I have to sing a solo next week but I sound extremely nasally everytime I sing, thank youuuu, lovr your videos
Katielouloubell Xx Hey! I know an exercise you can try! When practicing scales or or parts of your song, hold your nose closed and sing through the nasal of that. Then after doing so a couple times, take your hand off and sing the part and you can hear/feel a difference if you do it right! Hope this makes sense 💖
I myself lift the soft part of my palette in a yawn position and make sure I use plenty of air: and try and get a 'colour" sound. My colours are silver gold and bronze, metal colours, but my teacher is greens and greys; so I guess just try and fimd your colour :S :)
A BIG WOW. You explained that very, very well. All who are watching this, I know from experience that what she is saying and how she brings it is true. These exercises I have been doing ( results do not come overnight though), I learned them from another source, and they are effective. Your ability to explain it is up there.
Thank you!!!!!! This was insanely helpful ur helping so many people actually be able to sing (me included. I’ve improved so much from just stuff I picked up from ur reaction videos) so thanks!!! 🥰
I just noticed that my mix is only strong enough to sound like an actual belt when I CAN belt that note. And that's only up to around a C#5. Anything higher than that sounds "fake" and sounds a little more to a head voice than a good blend even though it has the same feeling when I do notes in my belt range. Any tips?
idk if this is good or not but it works for me. i start belting from a note a few notes lower and that’s comfortable for me to belt. then i try and like glissando up to the note i wanna hit and sustain. try to keep the same/similar sound. if it still sounds different try glissando-ing slowly
I watched this once and I know I’m going to practically memorize it at some point since I will watch this over and over again until it’s engrained in my memory and I don’t need to replay it anymore
Hannah, thank you so much for your videos ! Only after watching your reaction videos, I learned a lot and today when I tried to sing, I realized that I knew what I was doing waaay more than before and I reached notes with my chest voice I had never reached before.
I absolutely love your videos and can't wait for more like this one! My chest feels very comfortable but the area where I switch into mixing is often not as strong and can get wobbly. Certain vowels I just can't get the same volume while mixing.
Thanks so much for this video. I haven’t been able to get my mix ever and I’ve been singing for quite a while. I actually got it singing with this video thank you so much❤️❤️
Lip bubble is my favorite! I have been working my BUTT off on mixing and I have learned that singing NYAH NYAH NYAH NYAH in the place of the bib bib bib bib rhythm brings forward more of a mixed sound!!! AND A VIBRATOOO
Hannah, you need to react to Mimi and Josefin’s version of Creep (The Voice Kids audition version). You’ll be speechless like all of the judges were. And keep watching because they do an amazing encore! They are only 15 and 13 and they are incredible. 💖
This is such a good video! You're a lovely teacher, and it makes it seem very easy to learn (though I'm very bad at singing, so it's still difficult for me 😅). Can't wait for more!

Are you considering doing more instructional videos that build on previous ones? I feel like I have a strong grasp of my chest voice and my mix, but I'd like advice and some help understanding how to combine them into a "mixy belt" as you mention in certain reaction videos.
ok so i am very good at belting but there was this one thing I couldnt do and in another one of your videos and on other videos by other UA-camrs they kept on saying mix voice and I didn't understand what they meant but now I know and I tried singing the song again and it was instantly easier and sounded waaaaay better thank you so much!!!
Thank you for making this video! How do you sing higher notes without getting louder but at the same time without getting breathy? I find that I'm either getting too loud or too breathy whenever I try to practice high notes.
I always wanted to try singing, though my family isn't keen on "annoying sounds" so I can't, I actually have never sang, so I have no idea what I'd sound like, though these videos are still fun to watch until I can

Here's a tip: don't sing while your cat is in the room and you feel like your dying because you're allergic
