"Prisencolinensinainciusol" is the longest song tirle in the world. Iitalian Adriano Celentano and his famous wife Clauria Mori ( filmdirector , singer, acctress) - and the only real words in this song is "all right".
what about the 1981 Freshies single "I'm In Love With The Girl On A Certain Manchester Megastore Checkout Desk"? And Moneen's "There Are a Million Reasons for Why This May Not Work… and Just One Good One for Why It Will"?
This is a masterpiece, made with a non-existent language but with an English sound, it makes you move like a spinning washing machine and if you watch the video it also makes you laugh, what can I say complete at the top
I teach English to adults. I played this song and asked my students "Is this what English sounds like before you understood it?" I got a very enthusiastic yes. A few things I've picked up reading about this song. 1) The song was written, in part, as a reaction to the fact that American artists were outselling Italian artists in Italy. Adriano Celentano figured that Italian youngsters who were eating up American acts wouldn't know the difference as long as the words sounded American. He was correct. 2) The way he delivers the words and the outro harmonica solo were based on AC being a big Bob Dylan fan. 3) AC was understandably famous in Italy for his dance moves. His dancing here is him exaggerating Elvis Presley's hip shaking.
Adriano Celentano is a very famous singer, actor, showman, in Italy with over 60years career he's now 84 and still releasing music. Very charismatic and always ironic here was 1972 in a RAI (italian national broadcaster) tv show and the woman playing ih Claudia Mori, his wife, also very famous as former actress and producer. Somebody mentioned in the comments below his daughter Rosalinda Celentano who played the Satan in Mel Gibson controversial Academy nominated movie "The Passion of The Christ". Since his very first performances Celentano has been noted for peculiar fun mooves which earned him the nickname "il molleggiato" (basically the springy one...) 😊This song is considered the firs form of rap in music history.
Adriano Celentano oltre ad essere un cantante italiano è un comico ed un attore ,lui si è divertito a parlare l' inglese pasticciato perché lo diverte.scusate se non so l' inglese . vi saluto dall' Italia Italia.ciao.❤
Swiss heare and off course italian music was a very big thing here.. so glad my parents showed me all of these. Even bigger than his music was his acting though Bingo Bongo is one of my all time favourite movies. Definitely also want to thank you for Bud Spencer and Terence Hill. These 3 are absolute icons in the german speaking countries as well.
that's his wife playing the harp. they married in '64 and they're still together. Celentano is, to this day, an A list celebrity, especially for those above the age of... 20-something. lately he has presented a few TV specials where he did social commentary and sang his songs... he's been a celebrated singer for some 60+ years and was a very sought after comedic actor back in the 70's-80's. Claudia Mori, his wife, is a celebrated actress, singer and director in her own right. Celentano has recorded several albums with otherwise retired singer Mina, who in her own right is probably the most famous and celebrated singer of italian modern history, with one of the most powerful, versatile and accomplished voices. She retired from public performance, but will occasionally record pieces with longtime friend Celentano (and also did a few collabs or covers of other artists). Those albums have kept Celentano relevant to the music industry in Italy well into this millennium
The woman singing while they clap is his wife: Claudia Moroni (born 12 February 1944), known as Claudia Mori, is an Italian producer, former actress and former singer.
Love it. I was reintroduced to this oldie as well in Fargo Season 2. Reminds me of John Lennon's lead in to Give Peace a Chance, except his wasnt gibberish. The body work is reminiscent of Elvis. I am amazed that Adriano memorized the gibberish so that it performed the same every time. I had to break up the word into two pieces to learn how to pronounce it...."PREEzen-Colon-In" "Sa-NINE-chyu-ZOL". Same way i learned some Hawaiian names.
Everyone claps when the woman stood up because the woman is Claudia Mori. She's a famous Italian actress and his wife. Incidentally, their daughter, Rosilinda, played the role of Satan in Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ.
I know the entire creative process of this song very well, so much so that I even wrote a thesis on the subject. The text has a very deep meaning and deals with the theme of incommunicability. For this reason he decided to record a song in fake English. In this way the song apparently communicates because the text seems to sound "understandable", but in reality it says nothing substantial. All this becomes a metaphor for a message about the incommunicability between men. Celentano, on the album cover, specifies that the word "Prisencolinensinainciusol" means: "Universal love". With this he means to say that universal love is the main key to understanding between men. The song is a truly brilliant work, written with lyrics and music by Adriano Celentano who is undoubtedly one of the greatest Italian artists. The song is also brilliant for the music that in a certain sense anticipates the times. The song can be traced back to rap sounds... but in reality the song was recorded in 1972, that is, almost 10 years before the first rap recordings. This is one of the many reasons why Celentano is the Italian artist who has sold the most records in the world, reaching the record figure of about 200 million records. No other Italian artist has reached such figures. The singer number 2 for sales is Mina who in her entire career has published 107 records, selling about 150 million records. Excuse my English but I used google translate
If you search the top end of comments of one of the videos, someone actually wrote out the lyrics phonetically, in English. It's fantastic. Or as a GenZ would say, it's literally fantastic. He had a long career, and is an Italian Icon like Dean Martin or Cher.
This is how the English language sounds to non-English ears before you actually know the language. Since at the time almost no one knew English in Italy, but young Italians still went crazy for American and British songs, even if they didn't understand the lyrics, Si Adriano Celentano made this song to make fun of them and that "anglophile" attitude.
Another great Italian singer, Lucio Dalla, the author of the very famous song "Caruso," sang in fake English a song of an exceptional level of virtuosity. The song is "Pezzo Zero."
I came across your video and need to clarify something you seem to have misunderstood. It's not gibberish; it's actually phonetics, utilizing the sounds of the words. Additionally, this song is not from the '60s; it originates from 1972.
Gerry Lewis met Elvis Presley to invent rap and a totally new language - Celentano in my view was adopted by aliens and when he came back recorded this song because nothing in his own repertoire nor around Italy or the rest of the world sounded like this (not even close).
I'll write the first sentance for you::"When i shine the shoes and hold in the scene and i hold in a maybe in a colour boss dime, Prrrrrrr taking a time in a hold maybe lets say its june woho🤣🤣🤣
I love this song!! If you want Italian suggestions I suggest to watch some great singers like Giorgio Gaber Il Conformista, or De' Andre Un giudice. You have to find translations but they are so good! if you prefer rap I would suggest Caparezza il secondo secondo me or Mica Van Gogh or Vieni a ballare in puglia, or absolutely anything!!
"All we did was sustain white shoes ya gover man, you accosted a murder cult of old raider girls..... ALL Sunday." That line went hard Ps. For context a "gover man" is a slang used for government man
Of course I know this text!!! But what compelled you to upload this particular video to your channel???? there are 1000 better songs in the world!! I know about 999 of them myself. see ya
I loved this when it came out in the 70's and played it to death and learned the words eventually. pre sen colly si nee eye en tusol... not that hard really! when you listen to it its probably the first record with the music on loop.

Pink Floyd actually holds that record for a song off the 1969 Ummagumma album.

I know Chelentano all my life! I'm 50 now... He was extremely popular in USSR 70s - 80s, where i was born.
I know Gibberish when I hear it. (My relatives immigrated from Gibberia.)
😂😅😂😂
Everyone claps when the woman stood up because the woman is Claudia Mori. She's a famous Italian actress and his wife. Incidentally, their daughter, Rosilinda, played the role of Satan in Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ.
That is his wife. They were a power couple in Italian TV, Film, and music.
I know the entire creative process of this song very well, so much so that I even wrote a thesis on the subject.

il primo rap della storia è "Fortunello" di petrolini che ha un intero bridge in stile proto-rap e si parla del 1930/35
This song is also what is what a Bob Dylan song sounds like to ACTUAL English speakers..

This song was a hit in 1973.
Another great Italian singer, Lucio Dalla, the author of the very famous song "Caruso," sang in fake English a song of an exceptional level of virtuosity. The song is "Pezzo Zero."
also check "l'unica chance" and "svalutation". Bangers too.

The song was released in 1972
About 14 years ago, WILL SMITH, live at SANREMO, had his say on this song
I correct myself: almost 19 years ago.
This wasn't a hit "in the sixties", it was recorded in the 70's.
Quite right.
Gerry Lewis met Elvis Presley to invent rap and a totally new language - Celentano in my view was adopted by aliens and when he came back recorded this song because nothing in his own repertoire nor around Italy or the rest of the world sounded like this (not even close).
That gal with the long black hair that says the gibberish is his wife ❤
