This model truck is probably my most favorite truck ever made.

That's a nice truck. It's kind of rare to find an early Mopar like that in such good condition.

69 is a sweet ride. If it was mine i would consider a 318 or 360 Magnum swap, the Cummins is a great engine but adds a lot of weight. It really boils done to what your intended use.

That is very true. Thank you for the feed back. I'm still trying to figure out which one. Once I get the next couple upgrades done to it, I will know the direction of this project.

Definitely the 69 over the late model. As far as drivetrain updates it's a tossup for me, either is cool and would work just fine.

It's colder now than that day, let's get more filming done this weekend when it's warmer again!

I would love to find one with the slant six 4 by4 manual transmission

That 69 is a nice truck. If I owned it I would put a 90's era 318 and a 4 speed auto however if you were going to haul/pull with that truck then I would go with a hemi. The Cummins as good as it is, is to heavy for a D100. I'm a big Mopar fan and I'm glad to see older Dodge trucks brought back to life.

Was gonna say a lot of patina doesn't look that great but the way it is on that Dodge looks nice, but I definitely agree.... Paint it. Plum Crazy Purple. But definitely don't wait too long to start or finish your project I know from experience my dad didn't get to finish his dream Car 1970 Superbird, but it'll get finished through me.

Thanks mate. I don't know about the Plum Crazy Purple, but I have color in mind that will make it pop.

That's a nice truck. I'd just enjoy driving it as a classic. If you want more power, better steering and brakes, drive a newer model. Keep this one as is and take it to car meets and cruise around in it.

The cummings is to heavy for the truck. put a 383 or hemi in it. You will be glad you did.

After a lot of research, I decided against the diesel. My mindset is somewhere in that ball park. I'm think 440 or possibly a hemi if I can find one that won't completely break the bank.
