It's mentally difficult when you've been on Ventolin plus flixotide for 20 years. The fear of not doing it properly or it not being enough and being able to breathe caused by severe PTSD is very real. When I can't breathe I go into a severe panic attack and I don't know I use a spacer usually and I like to feel something hitting my lungs and when I don't feel anything I kind of panic in case there's nothing coming out and during my panic attacks my BP goes over to 280 on occasions So in a way I wish I was still on my ventilator and flixatide. Having said that it was a well presented short video. However I am wondering whether you can take the final click the wrong way if you know what I mean left or right maybe it doesn't matter goodness gracious such is anxiety. Thank you
I just used it now for the first time, and I felt the exact same thing!! (That's why i searched for this video!) It feels that I am doing it wrong or something, although i use inhalers for a long time and i know how to use them.
@@Veyia03 hi, yeah these ones don't feel like you're inhaling anything but they work so you're not actually doing it wrong that's just how the inhaler is. wish you well and good luck to u!!☺
@@angelicaalcantar9519 yeah i had the same issue. it had a weird taste in my mouth after a few seconds . but it's advised to wash your mouth with some water afterwards and always make sure your inhaler is standing don't put it on it's side or throw it somewhere in your bag. also when using it don't lift it very high up like when you're drinking something. all these steps helped remove the taste for me.but there is no harm in it leaving some taste so don't worry too much about that. anyway good luck to you!!
Hi! Thank you so much for this, I was prescribed the inhaler but not shown how to use it. I believe I did it right, I did the normal 2 puffs and then did a third later when needed but it looks like the gauge is still at 120?
You supposed to breathe out through your nose, as if you are smoking a cigar. You have to try your best to ensure it goes into the lungs and not just in the mouth.
im doing in a wrong way, i just twist once then i inhale then turn back, i though the first twist is open then if you twist it back is closed, now i already know the correct way thanks.
@@DrStefanCristianStanel Thanks, my throat and voice is ok. I'm just worriy about the possible Candidiasis affection in mouth due to the side effect of steroids。
I also was not sure if I was using symbacort correctly but my real question is, if I am using it correctly why does the counter say its finished but there seems to be a lot in the tube still? I have 3 that show zero doses left but they have a lot in them. They are incredibly expensive so I didn't want to throw them away until I know.
My instructions leaflet says to turn back and forth TWICE, not once. So basically 2 clicks. Why does my instructions say to turn in for 2 clicks instead of once like in the video??
In my contry simbicort is very expensive how can i gate i am suffer by asthma even intruupt my word during spuking itake all asma drug exept simbicort even pridinsolin disterb me so much what sall i do doctor
My previous inhaler I can feel and taste so I know I took it but this one it’s my first time I’ve attempted to use it about 5 times now cause it doesn’t feel like it’s working and usually after I use an inhaler I can feel immediate relief on my lungs and wheezing with this one I feel nothing so either I’m doing it wrong, this isn’t working, or it is and I’m just stupid lol
Depand on people. As for me, two times a day. I take it 8 am and 8pm. Different people diffrent prescription. Some people have to inhale 2 puff twice a day.
Just bought the inhaler, went through the instructions, wasn’t sure if I was doing it right, went online to look for a tutorial, read the comments, not feeling great about this product. What a waste of time and money.
such a design flaw... i was given this from my GP because of my lazy approach of not using two inhalers. Now like everyone else who are beginners, you feel you're not get the hit like a standard pump would give you. The person who design this device obviously not asthmatic. This device is infuriating... may need to go back to the GP for an inhaler.
My doctor prescribed the turbuhaler for me to get me through the night. Two inhales and I sleep right through (except to pee, lol). When used as shown in the video, it works perfectly.
Why is it called a Turbohaler in the UK and Turbuhaler in other markets? I am not sure why this video uses the spelling Turbuhaler if you are in the UK?
Not sure I'm getting any of the medicine because I cant taste anything but I guess I will just have to trust the process. Update: my cough is gone. So I guess it works👍
This has to be one of the worst designs I’ve ever encountered in my life.
Same! 🤦🏾♂️
Agree
Disagree. It couldn't be simpler. It also prevents overloading the dispenser and keeps count of how many doses are left with a counter.
Lol no. The worst I dnt even know if I used it or not
i like aerosol inhalers more
after cyberpunk i cant unhear that inhale sound
I think there was a mistake by Dr Stefan. When loading the turbuhaler, it has to be held upright, not horizontal like he demonstrated.

Thank you very much for the explanation. I just couldn't do it myself, despite the instructions for use. 👍
merci frate. bine ca am gasit video-ul tau. am reusit sa imi salvez copilul de la o criza. Dumnezeu sa-ti dea sanatate.
hi are you suppose to feel anything when inhaling , cause for me i dont feel anything it's like im inhaling air please help
apparently symbicort doesn't have a particular taste, so it may be that you are actually inhaling it correctly
I just used it now for the first time, and I felt the exact same thing!! (That's why i searched for this video!)
It feels that I am doing it wrong or something, although i use inhalers for a long time and i know how to use them.
For me it tastes a little bit bitter. But only after a few minutes and if I haven't eaten anything before using it.

Thank you, doc. To the point and simple.
So simple and to the point ...THANK YOU
Can you take 2 inhales for 1 click
Hi! Thank you so much for this, I was prescribed the inhaler but not shown how to use it.
I believe I did it right, I did the normal 2 puffs and then did a third later when needed but it looks like the gauge is still at 120?
the counter goes down in 20s normally doesn't show 119, 118 etc.
@@DrStefanCristianStanel thank you very much!!!
This is so simple❤😊
After I use it, I feel that my breath has become less and I feel more coughing. Is this normal from the medication or is there a problem?
Sometimes that happens to me, and I figure the medicine is breaking up the phlegm, which makes me cough. It lasts a few minutes and then I'm okay.
Thank you doc. I love you
Yup! He was right. Pulmonologist saw your video and said you are not holding your breath for 10sec. You are holding your breath for a max. of 6sec.
Are the hand movements compulsory?
I hear a click with the first twist and than i twist again . Ami doing it wrong ? Or once i hear the click its good to use ?
Hi there! A doctor told me the inhaler has to be held vertically when twisting for the click. Is that correct?
Hello Doctor, great videos, someone told me i have to twist the symbicort haler 2 times at the first use
Yes ,first at the left n right ,then use it ..and just closed it the cap
Thank you🌌
Thank you😊
I read from other videos that it has to be upright when loading the drug. Which one is correct...
Not this guy
Loading it upright insures a full dosage
Thank you so much Doctor 🙏🏻🌹
Thank you!
Thank you.
If the number of doses on the counter doesn't go down does that mean I'm taking it incorrectly?
It goes down in multiples of 20,so you should slowly start to see the small dial moving over time
@@DrStefanCristianStanel thanks!
Shouldn’t we twist it upright so the powder will properly refill(fall down) in the space inside?
Thanks. I was thinking if the inhaler is faulty
Is it necessary to gargle water after using it?
yes to avoid tongue fungus
@@yunykun thank you!
Tenkiu so much , you save my life

When I twist the red part it only clicks once not two clicks. Is there something wrong with the inhaler?

Thanks so much ❤❤❤
I turned the know twice in opposite direction didn’t hear a click but the second time I hrd is it I overdosed myself
Hi what’s the difference between this symbicort and salamol CFC free inhaler ? Pls
Thank you. I was in a panic
I wasted some many dosages not knowing how to do it!
Do i need to twist it everytime i use?
very good
Thanks for the video,Is it useful to use mouthwash after using Symbicrot?
Probably using just water is fine as well
@@DrStefanCristianStanel Thanks, my throat and voice is ok. I'm just worriy about the possible Candidiasis affection in mouth due to the side effect of steroids。
3 page leaflet and im still confused, 40 second youtube video fixes it, thanks
yeah lol. I got a mini dictionary with my inhaler
Is it working even tho i don't feel any powder in my mouth after inhaling?
Yes I would like to know too
Not sure if I’m using it right, i weight my old one(counter to zero), and a brand new one, both weighs 46gram.
Nice vape g

Yall are paying for Symbicort? Thats frickin rough man.

I was hoping to find the function/point of the rotating + ratcheting mouth piece.
i'm not sure to be honest but doesn't really make a difference
Does twisting the mouth peice do anything bad?
Nope
My box didn’t come with any instructions, but the pharmacist said to blow out through your nose, not your mouth.
very helpful
Hello, is it possible not to always hear a "click"? if i dont hear it does it mean there is a problem with my inhaler?
Yes because you always should hear "the click"

Thanks you.. God bless
Tnx for info 👍
There is no taste at all right in your mouth right?...compare to ventolin you feel the gas in the mouth
In turbuhaler you dont feel the powder unlike seretide diskus, you can feel the powder sticking in your tongue
How many time need tu inhaling ya?

@azfarizalshazwan8950 ask your doctor, that's the best bet for the right answer for you personally.
Sir, Head up or down ?
Exactly how he does it (not down)
My clic is when I come back. It’s that ok ?
Ive got the same I am so dumb on using this ..
You need to rinse your mouth with water as well but other steps spot on with what my doctor told me👍
