I have gotten blisters in my throat because of the asthma cough. I have a few now. It's yucky and painful. The weather causes me asthma. It's been raining lately. Also, I wake up with a sore back because of the coughing at night it causes muscle strain.

Point was people are not even making an effort to take as deep a breath as possible. Some just spray and that's it. Your suppose to hold your breath for a bit after spraying as well which people don't do.

Step 1: Shake inhaler (If you can flick it like a tin of chew, even better)
Step 2: Exhale as far as possible
Step 3: At the bottom of your exhale, push the med canister down and simultaneously inhale as deeply as possible
Step 4: Hold breath for 20 seconds
Step 5: Slowly exhale with a final deep inhale after the exhale
Step 6: Enjoy your new lungs
Also, that new attachment for inhalers may seem all fine and dandy but for the price you’re better off getting a nebulizer and paying a 6th of the cost for an on the go inhaler.

I have sensonal asthma. (When the air gets cold I do not breath deep enough causing asmatic problems and even fluid build up) At first I cannot breath deep enough to get all the meds. Here is what I do. First puff breath in and out three times and then take the medicine......wait five minutes. During the five minutes I concentrate on breathing deeply. Then I take the second puff in which I am able to breath deeply and hold my breath. When I exhale no medicine is lost. When you exhale there should be no material leaving the mouth.

Our kids asthma specialist had us put a humidifier inside their room which we later learned contributed to mold and dust mite growth, making their asthma chronic. He also prescribed FLOVENT, a steroid inhaler at a dose 4x what it should be for our tiny daughter and it shut down her adrenal system, she nearly died in ICU before an endocrinologist figured out the cause and treatment (cortisone helped her recover over 6 months until she was ok again). This doctor should be behind bars, but he's out doing it to thousands of other kids with the full support and profit of pharma. This system is not helping us. We got our kids off of the inhalers, removed the humidifier and they've been fine since.
I'm not diagnosing other's conditions or situations but I'm a parent who nearly lost my child due to gross misuse of these drugs on my daughter.

Are you sure you haven't mixed up your rescue and maintenance inhalers? The symptoms you describe sound like steroid overdose. That's the active ingredient in most maintenance medications. Your rescue inhaler's active ingredient is an amphetamine, probably abuterol sulfate. It's more likely to make you jittery than do what you describe.

I'm using a spacer - and have it always in my bag (thats no problem because i always have my bag with me)! My debut was 15 years ago where iI was hospitalized. Then 15 years with nothing, no medication............... - then in March 2023 i was hospitalized, and then the doctor insisted, that i would have to use a spacer. And since then i have had ZERO asthma attacks! SO now i´m told from my doctor to use the spacer for life! (Mornings and Evenings). Result: not a single asthma attack!
For me the right treatment is Innovair/Foster in a spacer!

    4. Hold your breath

    • @richardherdman2121
      @richardherdman2121 3 роки тому +3

Wrong.: 2. Take a deep breath in, then breath OUT as much as you can before putting the device in your mouth. 3. Put the device around your lips with the canister facing up and simultaneously breath in while pushing down the canister all the way; breath in slowly and as deeply as you can (using your mouth only, not your nose). 3. Remove the device from your mouth, close your lips again and hold your breath for at least 10 seconds if possible. 4. Breath out SLOWLY and FULLY until you can't breath out any further. (Re the cap, I'll just say that any cognitive, functioning adult who doesn't remove the cap beforehand probably doesn't really want to feel better).

Hey- chronic brittle asthmatic here, it’s the worst asthma you can get and I have been hospitalised for 3 years.. the reason why people don’t use an inhaler properly is because we can’t breathe properly in the first place.. we take the inhaler because we cannot breathe properly… you cant expect us to take a massive breathe when wheezy, especially people like me, I only have one working lung and it’s very hard to take a deep breathe, I recommend a spacer because it is so much easier to use and it’s way more efficient, I always use the spacer and you should too

Just remove the canister from the mouthpiece and rinse the mouthpiece with warm water. Run water through the part that the canister sits in to remove dried crusted medication, and the part that your mouth touches well. Then lay it to dry instead of towel drying it, so the lint from the towel doesn't get on it. You can use some mild soap on the part you put on your mouth too, just be sure to rinse well! Yeah I can't believe people don't wash them. Do they want the device clogged and to give them a lung infection 🤷🏼‍♀️

Now I don't smoke pot anymore bc I'm asthmatic and it's not good for asthmatics. Tho it gives people the best idea on how to get the most out of the medicine. Remember when having an asthma attack. Your lungs don't work as well as they do when not having a asthma attack. So you gotta hold that breath and give your lungs time to absorb that medicine.
