Canon Battery Vs 3rd Party Aftermarket Batteries: A real world test

Canon Batteries vs Third Party batteries. I stumbled on these findings from my experience teaching photography and using the same battery type for the last 12 years.

its not a question of which is better because thats obvious , canon batteries are definitely better for canon cameras
is a question of whether it will burn or damage your expensive camera or even blow up in your face if its a cheap chinese knock off ... specially for me since im in europe there could be a shit load of shady chinese imports that are definitely not guaranteed anything . if more people had canon cameras you would get feed back about this issue but all i can see is 2 or 3 reviews usually in the websites ..
anyway i've decided NOT to risk my R8 and buy original canon batteries one at a time when i get my salary lol
that really hurts the pocket since i have 2 lenses on the list of things i wanna buy too .
