Your husband needs to eat 2 of those plates hahaha. He is so BLESSED. I feel so warm and happy after watching this. I love Puerto Ricans and Cubans so so much
Happy Thursday I hope that all is well well I miss watching your channel is because I haven't been cooking lately but let me tell you I love that you use everything go yeah you go girl 💕💕
That looks great! I'm going to try it, my aunt married a Puerto Rican gentleman, she wasnt, yet she learned, hers is the best ever, I have tried to make it many times, but never can get it, the rice is always sort of mushy? I also use the jar sofrito from goya. Thank you ill try this one.
It depends how many people you are making it for. I always use 2 cups medium grain rice to 2 cups water ( use 3 cups water if using long grain rice) and it's 3 of us and I have leftovers for next day!
My wife is Dominican but hers is similar. She adds a can of tomato sauce of tomato paste. I think I will leave the tomato sauce out. This way it’s more yellow than orange.
I've never made this but I'm checking tons of recipes - most if not every other recipe I've seen includes some tomato sauce, this doesn't? Is that regional?
@@rhondasmiley1101 I ended up making arroz con gandules with a small amount of tomato and supposedly, it turned out fantastic (from people who should know). I may try without next time.
On special occasions I add real ham pieces which is so delicious! This is my basic weeknight or Sunday version! Hope you guys like it and try it!🤗
My beautiful daughter, I love you. I can't wait to sample cooking at actual home in Puerto Rico. ❤❤
