Some people have a problem with cultural appropriation. They see a white guy dressing and dancing like an indigenous American, and think they’re trying to exploit native culture. A lot of native communities in south and Central America that I lived with would be dead against this and find it offensive.

Every culture that was 'robbed' was beautiful. The Arawak and the Tasmanians were literally wiped out. What's ugly is people being oblivious to the ongoing genocide being carried out in Palestine - right before our eyes.

@@zacsmith859 Calling me ignorant is a bit hilarious. I used the term costume, because that was the word used by the member of the Crow Nation who invited us to sit with them during the event, specifically the Jingle Dances. I agree regalia certainly is more accurate, but ignorance is not at play here my friend. Besides, nothing in my original comment could be construed as cheap or mocking. You might want to direct your energies elsewhere or at least inquire before throwing a label on a person. You might have asked why I chose that word before assuming I was ignorant. I was simply using the language of those I was a guest of. Cheers

Native americans are decendants of Asia, they migrated using the land bridge tens of thousands of years ago, eventually spreading through south America creating their own cultures and languages, and if you go back to the beginning of man, life started in Africa. Skin color, language, are only cultural/hemispherical differences, the human being's way of adapting to the different environments this pale blue dot has to offer, this spec of dust we live on in this immense universe

I was 16 when my great grandmother died at age 89. That means she was 78 years old. When she taught me the bear dance. One summer afternoon when I was asking her about her childhood. Then she taught me the rain dance. And she made me dance until it rained. It was hard work and my legs hurt badly. But I was so proud of my newfound power. Then we took a nap.

This man just spoke the truth about what government did in a nation which is suppose to have freedom of religion and worship seems government must fear what spiritually is connected to that which the Ancients favored. Well they the Ancients have been called and have heard all the voices calling l. Beware to those who oppose and kill due to greed jealousy and envy. The spiritually plain is strong. Ancestors have heard the calling of their children. May the Eagle Bear Wolf and all the spirits of the Earth here the call from such people and from Mother Earth cries of pain. May what was so much worshipped that supplied all of life's needs be restored and the Evil destroyed

I join my prayers with all the people around the world who pray for peace, love and compassion for all peoples. I live in Calgary, AB and there are many Indigenous Native peoples here and many of the women will stop me on the street at a bus stop and say hello "sister" and it brings me such peace and happiness. I had many Hopi, Isleta, Navajo friends growing up in New Mexico, and I loved to learn about their heritage and their wisdom. Peace my brothers and sisters. Love to all of you.

Oh I so miss my grandmother. She would sit me next to me on her on her hope chest, which I now have and treasure, and tell me about the Chickasaw midwife riding on in her only to deliver my great grandmother’s babies when they lived in a dugout in Adair Indian Territory and, how the meanest man in Bear County looked hard at her favorite brother. She was terrified the man would lynch him…he was just a boy. And how her father, who is the Cowboy Hall if Fame, saw her mother as running cattle through Oklahoma and told his friend “I’m gonna marry that pretty gal.” I hope to sit with her again.

The person speaking at the beginning is right. My step-grandmother was from a native tribe. When I asked her about her culture and language growing up, she told me that she did not know much about it because she had been raised in a boarding school and was actively taught the Euro-American culture. I am glad to see that is no longer happening and am glad that the languages and cultures are being experienced and shared.

My favorite memory is dancing in my little Indian Princess dress at 4 yrs old in Alabama. I miss my Mother. I miss the great times with my children and Grandchildren. I pray I see us triumph over separatism and racism before I meet God. We've suffered too much pain. It's time to rise with love, compassion, loyalty and put to practice our civil liberties. I challenge our nations to practice #OneLove and beat them at their own games by showing communion instead of war. Showing Love won and continues to win. I challenge our Ancestors to be Ministers and bringers of Peace. I pray in all we find sacred on Mother Earth in Jesus' mighty name and with the Holy Spirit. A(ll)men. ❤️❤️❤️

I don't know how to say this but I've watched this video over 50 times. For the first time, I've broken down in so many tears 🥺😭because I look at our world and now understand how important it is to stand up for what is happening everywhere and all of the hatred for other people who just want to exist as a people who have more rights than any one of us...Bible Truth 📜⏳️📖 Peace, Love and many Blessings for what we have on this journey called life✨️✌🏾🥹👣✨️
