8.0 and 8.3 Sabre are very fun. I have ventured to 9.3 in F104 A and I quickly came back to mostly non-missile gameplay.

I seriously don't get the match maker, anything under 9.3 gets constant uptiers to 9.3 and gets fucked by the F-104 spam, and anything that's 9.3 or higher including the F-104 then somehow get 90% full uptiers to 10.0 and 10.3 where the 104 is still the most painful painbus ever with all the op missiles at that tier

I only had 6 downtiers in the last week of playing 9.3 and rest of the games were uptier to 10.3. So mutch fun dodging aim-9l and r-60m with no flares.
That's because only 25% (usually 4) players can be at the max BR in a match, this means that there are more players per match that are bottom tier than top tier so that will be the case at any BR

I spaded the F104 before the BR increase and got mostly 10.3 games. Shit felt easy to use even in the 10.3 games and the odd downtier just felt criminal. Anyone who thinks it's fine being at 9.3 suffers a massive skill issue and doesn't know how to fly it.

I discovered this thing when it was added, and it was silly even before the br changes. It reminded me of the top tier Hunter F1 days... minus the 104s. Get it above the enemy team, and just work on killing highest to lowest as they get distracted by everything else.

It’s because sadly they balance off of purely player stats in vehicles , so the most popular planes will be poorly placed due to lots of bad players using them

The br (de)compression is not based out of stats there is now a huge gap between 10.3-9.3 all the 9.7 - 9.3 like the first gen harriers getting downtiert now
Decompression solutionn could also be reducing br range of a match from being 4 BR spots to only 3 (eg. isntead of 8.3 to 9.3 youd see either 8.3-9.0 or 8.7-9.3) and thus you wouldnt have to shuffle all the individual values around
Shuffling has to be done regardless. Would reducing the range help too? Absolutely.

tbh I have been flying the 104C after the BR changes, and idk if it's just me, but the amount of full uptiers to 10.3 has been absolutely absurd, the funny thing is that even at 10.3 that thing is still decent (if u know what ur doing ofc)

Idk if you have tried it out recently, but the F2 Sabre is very similar atm. I´ve been playing it a bit and I got more consistent results than ever I think. Maybe you can make another video on that in the near future :)
You can really tell he knows how to play this, I've got 75 games in Hunter F6, 50 deaths and 43 kills.
Looking at my planes (I play tanks mostly) it's incredible I have a k/d of planes >1 with the F-7F and also the Italian Bf-109 F4.
Because of ground CAS, I hate air realistic where everyone sees you all the time and sneaking up on people by attacking from below so you're lost in the ground clutter doesn't really work.-
30mm Aden is my favorate gun in the game, with four it's a deadly monster
Just give the american F104s actual countermeassures, if the german 104 can get missiles it was never equiped with, i dont see why these cant get flares.
i think jets and props should have separate br so gaijin can properly decompress the trees. thats the simple fix no one is talking about
I unlocked the swift f.1 (8.3, my second jet) just as the decompression hits.
Boy, I was fighting f-104s almost every game for about 30 matches. I had so many games that I couldn't get a single kill and die to super sonic jets or to missiles, since I'm a noob.
I don't know if they "solved" the issue or am I just being lucky, but I didn't see much of them after a couple of days. Now, with the plane amost spaded, I can get about one or two kills per game and live for most of the time.
I can counter the junk 104s in my Mirage IIIC and probably the MiG-21S players too, and on 9.3 the Lightning can match it. Maybe I should call back the SPS-K from retirement now?
The SPS-K is currently my favorite plane to fly because it stomps

I have been spading the mystere IV A, most of my games were 9.3. The f104 and the mig 21 are still a pain in the ass when flying subsonics. I wonder why gaijin didn't move anything lower than 10.0 up

Hunter is my fav. I stopped playing WT because they had nerfed it so much...i rage quit. But If they have the BR set right again, I'll jump back in the seat.

Friendly reminder the F-16AJ is the same BR as the Gripen and F-15 while not being able to take advantage of it's strong suit (dogfighting) because the majority of its matches are BVR fox 3 bs

Maybe one day I will be able to dominate the skies in my hunter FGA. 9, back when that was the ceiling and I could get 3 minute aces on Korea or sPAIN. The days. I say that and that was really only 4-5 years ago, but how does the time fly.
Edit: when I say 3 minute aces I’m referring to the min fuel amount at the time of 3 minutes.

It can't really dogfight anymore. It is nothing more than a missile sled now. You can say that they ruined it but they gave it it's historical maneuverability.
At the current moment a majority of fighters in game can pull more Gs than they could historically. Nobody cared until the F-16 got added and suddenly it couldn't out turn things that it $hat on historically. The player base, being the player base talking without actually knowing what they are talking about, blamed Gaijin for using an overly limiting G limiter on the F-16. When increasing the G limiter didn't fix it the player base on the whole just went *shrug*. In reality most every fighter in the game at that moment could pull anywhere from 2-4Gs more than they could historically. All of the MiG-23/27s just got hit with their historic/realistic maneuverability. Many fighters still haven't been hit by the same nerf. Before you think that the MiG-23s will ever be good maneuverability wise once everything else that should gets a proper maneuverability nerf that won't be the case. The late MiG-23s were, at best, as maneuverable as the F-4s with Agile Eagle. In other words they were missile boats, lead sleds, et cetera.
I spent 3 weeks playing games from "Free GE for WarThunder" and got nowhere near a single Golden Eagle.

Wonder how Gaijin does not figure out "until a player specifically points it out" the problems with Aircraft in specific BR brackets having to face certain aircraft/planes should really not be facing. Been thinking for a while that this isn't a mistake and it's on purpose just like things like when we had the Pt-76-57 or Puma or Bagel at ridiculously low BR's to have people make a stink about the things then it get plastered all over Reddit or YT and Discord or what have you.
