I have been living with this vehicle and love it. My only complaint is the "super glued Ipad to the the middle of console" . It looks like an afterthought or copout of the engineering team not finishing the integration design. Other than this, its a beautiful interior.
Yes, but I love my 2019 model with red leather seats. They look so much nicer. As for mpg, I managed 29.3 on a run the other day. I am glad I bought it.
Funny enough, a pre-facelift F-Pace SVR in a very similar spec, albeit with a black interior, drove past me last month. Super nice and my word is it loud..... He pulled away and that exhaust snapped and popped 300m away from me...

I think these looked the best in 2018. Blacked out F Pace-S. The model in the video does not look sporty enough to carry the SVR badge it really needs different wheels. Your point of blending in was spot on.
I used to be the front of house manager at Cliveden when I was 24...Loved that place....in desperate need of a refurbishment now....No work has been done on it in 20 years
I know this video is a year old. I’m currently considering an SVR but have a few questions. First how’s the ride quality? Second, comfort of the seats? Lastly, 2022 F-Pace SVR or 2022 Macan GTS? Thanks
SUCH impressive cinematography - and superb drone skils, Sam!! I was particularly blown away by your animal-training skills... Quite how you trained those songbirds to fly so near to the drone that it's microphone could pick up their song just as well as it did with the F-Pace SVR's exhaust note, I'll never understand!!
reviewers are normally completely distracted by the price point and misjudge jags - finally a reviewer that acknowledges that there is a disconnect between price and quality when trying to compare to other brands
Well if I had to have an suv, think the Jag has great style without the brash vulgarity of some other competitors. More importantly, did Twiggy give it the paws up? 😁
What a car! Its really good to see Jaguar's Formula e drivers. I have been following Sam Birds career since the start of that racing series, and am very impressed. He also races Ferraris at Le Mans. With these races, no one has a clue who will end up on podium, like Touring cars, its very much a contact sport. Looking forward to seeing them in London.
They finally homologated the performance tires for North America wooo! Can't wait to finally see how this can really handle when my new one comes! And yea, the improved gearbox, brakes, interior, infotainment and HUD :p
The FE drivers are totally right about the excitement. Shorter format, and very unpredictable racing too. Only the sound gets quite monotone, it's a constant whistle.
After driving and owning an F-Pace with a supercharged engine, there is essentially nothing else out there that comes close. The car drives so much better than anything from Audi, Volvo, MB or BMW. The usual American or Japanese luxury SUV competition is not even close in any meaningful way. A Jaguar is a car which is like a well behaved and very beautiful race horse, nothing looks better, handles better at speed and is more comfortable than a Jag. Sure an F Type is great sports car, but try taking a couple of 130 LBS American Akitas to the beach in an F Type. The F-Pace opened up a huge market for Jaguar and I would argue that very few people who opt for the car are cross-shopping Land Rovers. Rather it a BMW or a Porsche or the Jag. The Jag is much more sporty, comfortable and better looking than the BMW and such a better value than the Porsches. To the cognoscenti, the Jag offers tremendous value just based on its rear wheel drive biased AWD and its supercharged engines and quick steering. I would describe the Jaguar F Pace driving experience as similar to driving a big heavy but athletic V -8 powered Dodge Challenger - it feels and handles like a very well sorted muscle car - rather than a stiff legged true sports car. It is big, fast, powerful and its looks great and it is surprisingly comfortable and confidence inspiring.
The interior is lovely, but I always saw the F-Pace as more of a Volvo XC60, Lexus RX rival (if you're familiar with those cars). So I'd say with the facelift, the F-Pace is now on the level of BMW and Audi, in terms of interior quality and design, not really Bentayga / Urus. Still lovely car, I think if your market had the V6 engine, that would be the sweet spot. So Sam I think a V6 F-Pace would be the more appropriate replacement for the 6-cylinder X3.
The interior does look nice but the stand out screens are just not my thing. I much prefer the new Audi or Mercedes interiors with the screens integrated into the dash. Particularly on the A6.
let's be honest here, Jaguar's sit in-between the classic german manufactures that everyone seems to go for, and the more prestigious manufactures.. your Bentley's and Aston's. It's a nice niche, especially for those, such as myself, who don't crave the ridiculous and unusable 550+ hp figures of the modern M and AMG cars in the UK.
What’s Great video! Love the updates to the interior, about time the infotainment got an upgrade. Side note, anyone else stressed out by how high the middle head rest is on the back row?
Another great jaguar Sam. Are you thinking of buying one or just borrowing them. Ilove the really great videos Sam. Keep them coming. The interior of the jag looks great. From Dan m. Can you get a Bentley or a lambo on the channel next. 👍👍👍

I remember driving an F-Pace a few years ago (not a sporty one) and I remember the interior being a little disappointing, although it probably didn't help that I drove a Range Rover Velar on the same day. Either way, it's good to see that Jaguar have addressed the new interior for the new model. Shame the outside looks almost the same, though. It's not a bad looking car, but I think there is a danger that it could look a bit outdated sooner than JLR would like.
As an M40i owner, I very much fancy the new SVR… On your next episode of Behind The Glass, please give 30 seconds on your thoughts on a comparison between the two! 👍
Hi, need help - just sold my F-Type SVR to get an performance suv (baby coming) and I’m having a hard time deciding between the F-Pace SVR 2021 and the GLC63s 2020 (both costs the same in Denmark, hence price doesn’t help me). Please give me some help to make up my mind!🙈
Now I think I need to get down to the local dealer and see what all the fuss is about. Hey, great that Jag is bringing the fight to the door of the traditional sector dominants. Go Jaguar ...Keep the Jaguar videos coming Sam. But now would you say the F Pace is taking on the Range Rover !!
Great Video, but honestly, I think you're judging the SVR through Jag-love tinted glasses. The SVR barely scratches the likes of X5M, dynamically and Interieur wise. Exterior as always comes down to taste. But everyone has their own taste and that's great!
For context, I was looking for a family car (the wife wants a SUV... I want a wagon), I tested the GLE63, Cayenne S, X5M, Jag SVR, SQ8. The X5 was the most fun to drive and I specifically like the interior since it still has physical buttons for the important stuff. I can't stand "let's make everything a touch screen"
Only thing I'm unsure of is the stuck-on "iPad", I just prefer them to look more designed into the interior than bolted on as an afterthought (obviously not the case, but it always looks that way).
It is fascinating that youtube recommended me this video, when i never searched for something similar on here, but i did own the F-PACE. I just owned the normal 2.0 liter diesel version, but the electronics shall be the same as in this model. What i found out, that after a while, the plastic buttons were responding not to the input, you had to press them 3 to even 6 times until the input were registered. Also i had problems after a few hundred kilometers that i drove in one setting with the speed control, it just wouldn't activate. The steering wheel pedels itself are solid, made out of steel and not plastic, which was nice and the seats are better than that from a Audi A6, that provides for a nice riding. The climate control also had issues and it couldn't decide of blasting in a unpleasent noise the cool air or just distribute warm air in a lower fan circulation; maybe i was just too stupid to find out, but i tried to find a reasonable middle setting. In the end i gave this car away after only 4000 km i drove in, because it didn't live up to the expectation i had; Jaguar lost its quality when they sold out to India / China in my opinion and wouldn't buy another one.
Fantastic car, had one on test drive for a day three years ago (pre-facelift). Would have bought one if it wasn’t for the absolutely dire pre-sales service from the JLR dealer.
What's your honest feedback of Jaguar cars, specifically SVR and high performance vehicles? Headache in terms of reliability & maintainence? Specifically owning one for 3-4 years?
Comparing to M and AMG: I drove SVR a bit longer than 24h and it is surprisingly comfortable. It is not velar level of comfort but still very good as daily car and way Better than amg. 21” is probably better all-around choice when not used on perfect surfaces.
I just cannot get enough of the recent Jaguar V8 content. Keep it going Sam 🔥
More to come!
The interior looks so much better now, matches the price tag more than the older interior for sure.
100%! Such a great all round package now
Yeah the old interior just looked weird and cheap, now it's perfect
