Fantastic video! I would be useless as a judge. They're all so stunning. I'm glad that gorgeous black colt won. Every time I see a black Arabian I think of Walter Farley's Black Stallion books. I read those over and over when I was a kid.
I agree, too! I would probably make the world's worst judge!😂 I'm guessing there are a lot of people who are reminded of those Black Stallion books. Thanks for your comment and I'm glad you liked the video!
I can't remember if that one was in a half Arabian class or a purebred class. If purebred then it is not a roan, but it could be if it's half Arabian. I'll go double check that when I can.
I'm partial to western riding, so I'd love to see more of the western classes. As for some of the colors - on the young horses - I think some of those colors may not have an exact name because the horse is likely transitioning to gray. Their coats can do a lot of color changes before they settle down. I had one gray, and he started out chestnut, then had about a year of such blotchy red-orange and white coloring that he looked kinda mangy. I was actually worried that was the color he'd stop at, but thankfully his coat continued to change, and he ended up being a beautiful blue-gray with black legs and points, and a silver and black mane and tail. His legs were even chestnut initially, so it was all a surprise to me. I was just relieved when he was done - and so pretty, too. 🥰
Thanks for your input about the western classes. I will be uploading some of those in the next few months, so if you are subscribed with notifications turned on, then you will be notified when those get published. Your little foal that grew up sounds like it ended up having a beautiful color! I am really surprised the chestnut changed like that!
@@MagnificentHorses I subscribed. I will watch for your videos of Arabian Western Pleasure. 😊 Arabian horse color changes are wild, and definitely not to be underestimated. 😆

Julie, I hope you do get to go to Scottsdale someday. I was fortunate to go when I visited my brother several years ago. I was only able to go the first day of the show, I would have preferred later in the show. Either way, it was certainly an honor. Take time to walk around, visit both rings, visit the booths. Arabian horse world has a booth also!

I hope to go in person someday but until then, these videos are so wonderful 🌟That fancy chestnut mare 🐴🌹and her young handler were a great pair 👍 The Western 🤠 events would be thrilling to watch in person! That dark bay/black colt is gorgeous 🤩
I remember back in the day when you could just take your every day saddle and bridle and enter into shows and you could win your class. Nowadays if you don't have a $1000 saddle and a $10,000 horse, you don't win. Now you can't hardly show anymore unless you can tie a lot of money into it. 4-H is also the same way, only because the parents put everything they have financially so their kid can win, not teaching the child anything. I miss the old days.
I can certainly understand and relate to what you're saying. Unfortunately I think that's just how things have gotten to be these days. Wow, I am really sounding old!😱😂 Thanks for opening up and sharing your feelings.
Me too. I started my show ring days in 4H and my first pony, worked my way up with an AQHA gelding. Worked hard and won classes. These videos are depressing and the horses look creepy...crazy heads and weird gaits. Thanks Breeders and Judges for ruining everything!
@@rebecca94503 I can't imagine watching these gorgeous horses and having my only thought be that they look creepy and are depressing to watch. You have every right to your opinion but I'm sorry that's what you think when you see amazing horses like these.
Love to see the Beautifully turned out shiny horses, but wow do I cringe at the amount of draw reins, tight martingales and chains I see in that warm up ring! In dressage we call the hyperflexation Rolkur….and it is abhorrent because that much neck flexation causes numerous problems, including oxygen deficiency. PS- I know Arabian horses tend to carry themselves with a natural break at the poll- I wonder if their unique conformation allows for more neck flexation than the typical dressage horse?
Thanks for the info! I'm guessing the natural head carriage of Arabian horses does help keep them from having problems. Arabian horse people spend a lot of money on their horses and love them dearly, so I can't imagine they would do something that hurts them.❤️
You can clearly see from the straps on the front hooves at 3:50 that they have put small "stacks" on the horses hooves, this is disgusting and it's only a matter of time that greedy, cruel owners will use the bigger stacks, acid and chains to get an unatural gait from the poor horses, the same as the horrendously cruel and torturous Big Lick Walking Horses which is being campaigned AGAINST in Tennessee USA, as you can only force the horse to "walk" in this fashion through disfigurement, pain and touture. I hope that they open their eyes and stop this from happening to these beautiful Arabians.
Thanks and I'm glad you like the video! I don't know if I'll eventually upload each of the events shown in this video but there will definitely be other classes that I will upload. Were you interested in one of the classes or genre in particular that was shown in this video?
