    Thank you so much for this easy-to-follow video! After limping along a major highway as we were delivering sandbags and about to evacuate Hurricane Ian, we returned to a mess that really could use our Ruby (2013 Explorer). This morning before cleaning up more debris, we replaced the ETB and she’s running well!! Thank you so much, this will have impact beyond just us as Ruby helps us help our fellow Floridians. 🙏🏼

    After paying a mechanic $110 diagnostic fee to change something that didn’t make a difference, I played google mechanic. For $120 I got The throttlebody and gasket from the Ford dealership and literally took me 10 minutes to change it, seriously, this is almost as easy as changing the air filter! Hopefully it corrects the problem with the engine choking out or as they put it limping home.

    Thank you for this in-depth video. After firing up the engine after a wash I could hear a small hiss coming from the throttle body. Now that I've seen this video I can confidently say the gasket needs replacing.

    Amazing instructional video - thank you so much for the time you put into creating, editing, and uploading this!! I may have to replace this part because my 2013 Ford Explorer has been stalling while driving - almost encountered two wrecks now. I'm taking it to the dealership to see what they say, but apparently this is an extremely common issue with Fords, yet the brand won't commit to a full recall.
    What's funny about my situation is that I took my car into the dealership to get an oil change, tire rotation, and toe link recall done a few months ago, but once I got the car back it started suddenly randomly stalling whenever it came to a complete stop. Sketchy, so I brought it to the dealership and they said what they did had nothing to do with it, that it was a pure coincidence, and that the problem was a part located near the gas tank ( I cant remember the name of it atm). Sketchy, again, but I said screw it and had it fixed. The problem was gone! Well, until it happened again 6 days later... but this time it stalled while I was DRIVING!! Oh, and in the middle of the interstate... almost had a HUGE wreck.
    I called the dealership (Arlington Ford, Jacksonville FL) and asked them wtf was going on. The rep said that apparently this was common after the repair I had (what?????????????) and that it shouldn't happen again, but if it did to bring it in. Weirdest thing I've ever heard, but this was during the COVID pandemic and I had a LOT going on, so I decided to believe it and hope for the best.
    A week passed with no issues, another week passed with no issues, and then BAM! Two days ago, it does it again... and of course I'm on the interstate at rush hour. Another almost-wreck happened and several middle fingers and honks were shot in my direction. I was livid. Even more livid considering I just got a huge job that is taking up 10 hours a day every day for the next week, as well as ANOTHER job that I have to do during any offtime I have that is taking about 2-3 hours a day until I have it completed (estimated to be done in about 4 days)... so I just dont have time for this bs. They told me, when I got the last repair done, that there was NOTHING else wrong or anything close to requiring a repair/update/etc.
    Now I have nearly hurt/killed myself, nearly hurt/killed other drivers, am facing more expenses for this bs, and am having to deal with this issue and more possibly-deadly incidents for another week due to not having time to come in/also needing the car for my job (they dont provide rentals). Oh, and let's not forget that this all started immediately after I got my oil change, tire rotation, and toe link recall. I went along with the first issue being deemed a 'coincidence', but not this time. This time, I am going to raise hell to these mfers. Oh, and if you read this far, I posted this story on my Facebook, and guess what? Apparently, several of my friends have had this exact issue with their Fords. Actually, several people in the country have had BOTH of these issues. Something even more crazy? Three of my friends that replied to my FB post said that this EXACT sequence of events happened to them with this EXACT dealership.
    I don't know if foul play is even possible with the issues that I have, but if it mother f***ing looks like a duck, mother f***ing walks like a duck, and mother f***ing quacks like a duck, GUESS MUFKN WHAT? ITS A MUFKN DUCK TRYING TO GET EVERY LAST PENNY OUT OF YOUR SHALLOW WALLET.
    I'm tired of these gangsta thug ducks out in these streets trying to manipulate and take advantage of every person they seem as a 'sucker'. I'm so done with it. It's time for a change. And since cancel culture is so popular now, I think that the change that is needed is cancelling these bastards.
    (Also, I think cancel culture is freaking sick and horrible, but I think it's a great concept for businesses that have a LONG RECORD of shady transactions, dealings, and customer interactions. Cancel those MUFKN THUG DUCKSS)

    you forgot that you have to rest the KEM. and all you have to do disconnect the negative cable from Battery and use a jump wire to the ground cable to the positive for 10 seconds and reconnect negative and test drive

    I see the negative terminal thing of the battery is disconnected. Is that important?

    Is recalibration needed? Also the battery terminal step was not shown.

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  3 роки тому +5

      +UNITED WE STAND Thanks for watching! Recalibration should not be needed for this vehicle, it is simply a plug-and-play replacement. Yes you will simply need to disconnect the negative battery harness before removing the throttle body, which is something we did not capture on video. Make sure it is disconnected and not touching any metal surface.

    Background music is annoying. Totally unnecessary.
