I have two investor cars in my fleet. One thing to be aware of: some states legally require the registered owner to be present when getting a car out of impound. If a guest gets towed and it's your investor's car, it can become quite a headache. I only take on capital investments now, for this and many other reasons.
Definitely a helpful video, thank you for putting this together. I have 26 cars (all my own) in my fleet. Now I am being approached to manage dozens of cars for other people, which is a big shift from the original plan. The liability and the accounting are my biggest worries. I'm terrible with 'paperwork type' organization!
Did you take on and manage opc's? If so, how is it working out for you? A co-worker of mines has been hosting on Turo for 3 years and has a nice fleet going. Its definitely got me interested.
Loved the chat thanks guys! Really curious how you guys handle OPC's with getting paid out and taxes. Is that just a 1099 you send them as an expense and pay taxes based on the gross? How do you manage a 60/40 split when it comes to that.
How do we protect yourself from if you’re running someone else’s car out and he gets in a car accident and now the person you got the car from wants to sue you. How are you protected?
Great information as always. My question is what is the proper way to handle Insurance using other peoples cars? Do you put it on your commercial insurance?
Aubrey, do you have any videos on typical rev share arrangements? I’ve got 2 vehicles booked out into the future 6 months at a major airport. I live 60 miles away. Not practical for me to manage them, and I just lost my parking/manager. Want to find another turo host already operating at airport and rev share with them. Looking for best practices on that
Indeed. There’s nothing wrong with Turo per se, but the nature of this business strikes me as somehow exploitative. Like, they would be selling Amway, but this pays better.
A huge thank you to David for joining the channel! Be sure to check him out on social media at @westcoastdave_

Thanks David & Aubrey🎉
@user-nj4iw6mr5m your a fony user 🆔
Nice one Aubrey!... learned a lot.
I'm curious where you and he and others house/store/garage your fleets...
How can I find other fleet managers to partner with as an investor?
Woohoo! The video I was waiting for
Thank you! David knows his stuff and for anyone interested in an OPC model, this discussion is gold!
How do you travel since you manage other's cars?
How do you figure out the pricing with the investors?
I'm interested in knowing the spilt?
I have 2 vehicles that are listed but when I search for them they are not showing up. Does turo have a limit on how many cars in a market?
It ended up being something on there end. They had to allow the cars and then I was able to see the cars on the search results.

What do you think about leasing a new car? No depreciation and then I can give it back in 3 years to lease a new one

Is your split tax free? How are taxes worked out with your investor
What app do you use ? Is it zoom?
Great interview!
Really great interview, Turo aside , you're a great interrogatior
I been trying to flip houses two years now - it sucks
I like his concept: Turo arbitrage
Great video, from Venezuela, definitively awesome
Thanks! Excellent!
My fleet is solely on other peoples car😂 will start buying my cars when price go down
They are slowly going down!
How can I find other managers to add my car to their fleet?
Yes where are you located ?
That was great
If you offered on your channel to list other people's cars you might triple your fleet overnight. I bet you could even manage cars outside your state.
How much percentage does he give to the car owner?
Watch the video you cow
60% owner 40% , I understood
What all does it cover ?
Peace.. Shalom.. Salam.. Namaste .. 🙏🏻 😊 🌈 ✌ 🌷 ☮ ❤🕊
Hey West Coast Dave...tellb your wife to use Google Sheets and give the investors a view only link...no more emailing out reports.. 24/7 access
Very strong MLM energy here.

Isn’t there no actual product in an MLM?
It’s def not mlm because there are only 2 levels. Owner or investor 😂.
@@nickgarcia153 no, people confuse mlm for pyramid scheme. A pyramid scheme has no actual product. Mlm is simply the business structure.
Nice interview
