Maybe you have Leiden Factor 5. My sister and I have both Gene's and have both had blood clots.

What a beautiful girl with her sad story beautifully told! She is a brave and kind soul. How can the doctors have asked her to walk with a pulse of 140? It's unfathomable.. If she was from a minority they would have been accused of blatant racism .. but in this girls case we can see that such things can happen to anyone !

Looking back and seeing your mother having PE I think not taking birth control is best but your story might have a plus for at least some. My brother at 75 had one recently and I'm just learning about it. He was a heavy drinker for years.

My mother had a bloodclot travel to her heart and effectively died for a short amount of time many years ago..
I am a 40 year old male and 10 years ago I was diagnosed with the heredities prothrombotic state of “heterozygous prothrombin gene mutation”
I am only now researching it properly as I have been prescribed a course of Tadalafil for 28 days to treat erectile dysfunction.
I read somewhere that it can cause bloodclots? And I remembered I have this gene mutation thingy so got a little concerned.
I have a few of the symptoms typical of Tadalafil such as headaches, intense muscle aches in lower back, thighs and legs.
I am just a little worried it may give me a bloodclot?
I tried to speak to my GP but it is so difficult with work etc

Alternative fibrinolytic to try is Lumbrokinase. It keeps the blood from clotting and there is no danger of bleeding.
