3v3 is great they just need to rework items and assists to be less effective at advantage/disadvantage and implement three separate healthbars so you don't need a whole ass miracle just to tag someone in when playing with randoms. Other than that I really like how it switches up the gameplay, assists make jump-ins far better and allow for some truly terrifying pressure sequences and mixups. Why bother with playing neutral the normal way when your teammate can run in and temporarily not only distract them from anti-airing you but also make bandit bringer safe on block in the process. Best moment so far has got to be that one time I threw this one poor asuka five times within a single round. "Ok I got screamer metron, now they can't jus-" "Up your game" SLASH!
irdk why they made it a shared healthbar but ig it makes sense so that dead players aren't just sitting around and waiting for their next round i do think that assists being fully invuln is the root problem of the mod tho being unable to punish anything the assist players do can be frustrating
@@saladmixx Nonono, when your healthbar is depleted you wouldn't die you'd just be forcefully tagged out instantly (not getting to linger for 5 seconds), atleast in this hypothetical change I'm suggesting. Also, I could swear that assist players aren't entirely invulnerable because I've seen them get stuck in combos alongside the main. Having assists take damage probably wouldn't be the way to go because cheese (see Gamma Blade for more details), but having them immediately retreat out of the assist and/or score some sort of cooldown/item penalty would also be kinda lame because you could get caught in the crossfire super easy. My solution would be smth like how jack-o's minion gauge has three colors, where assist players could consume tension/burst on assists depending on when they're done (and with a longer cooldown) and whenever someone spends it it remains available to the other role but starts decaying. All in all the gamemode would either have to be split between a "play with randoms" mode that's more like how it is now and a "play with friends" mode that's balanced more around actual teamwork, that or they add an ingame voice chat which would invite a whole new list of problems. Then again, they could also just not do any big overhauls, because the state it's in now seems like with some minor polishing it'd just end up being one of those things that works even though it _really_ shouldn't on paper.
