Hey! Could you do a review of the JBL partybox 300? Edit: have a good Friday also :) I'm kinda mad I hadnt found your channel earlier, I found it awhile back and have been subbed with notifications since!
I can remember when rear deck speakers could be installed from below the rear deck and were the easiest part of a audio upgrade. Now they are just as hard as the front speakers or door speakers.
Man this helped me alot with removing my back seats and panels. I hit a brick wall once I found out I can't replace my JBL rear deck speakers due to the harness that comes with them and it doesn't seem to fit anything else. If it wasn't for that, I would've been able to change all of my speakers smh but you're awesome man
Jesus, that car looks like a dream to work in. My 2003 G35 coupe is nothing like that. Imagine sitting on the fuel tank of the back seat with no doors and sun incinerating you while everything kicks your ass
I find applying sound deadening material immensely satisfying, it's the way you can immediately tell the difference when you knock on a panel. When I did my doors I had to cut a hole in the inner door metal so the speakers had space to breathe and then deaden the outer skin. I tore up my hands doin it but the sound was massively improved and the doors now sound like thick wood when you knock on them, it was worth the effort and many cuts.
If you buy the speakers from Crutchfield all the speaker rings and connectors are free as well as shipping. Not sure if you've ever dealt with them but definitely worth looking into. Right on tho dude, handle it!
Goodnights man, I’ve started like 3 months ago with your videos REALLYHOOKED! I have a 2006 toyota corolla just installed 8” mclaren into the original holes hey I made it possible! Just with a dremmel from the trunk to the hole 6x9 and upfront its really good. Also got some 2 12” kickers compvr and I like it man keep it up the good work! Peace
Anytime I have to replace deck speakers I always mount the new ones on the bottom to make future replacement much easier - as long as there's no clearance issues. Love your videos bro 🍻
you have to disassemble half of the car to get to the speakers, well Toyota has to make something difficult at least, great video, I was looking for this along time ago !!!!
Is it better to put speakers in the rear doors instead of rear deck if you have a subwoofer? I heard a subwoofer can cause deck speakers to sound distorted
doubling up on the screws to mount to the adapter... good thinking m8 I would have done the same thing. well dam sir your production on your videos has improved over the last 6 months man. keep the vids rollin.
What series?? I bought some AD 2100 SERIES COMPONENT for my front doors and infinity reference components for back doors and infinity kappa 12s running off a 1500.5 nemesis and sounds great
It's almost a fact bass is like dna and gets passed down to the next generations. My dad is still a bass head at 37 he has 6 12s on on rockford Fosgate 5k. He put 2 12s in my mom suv and I have 2 nvx VCW rocking in my car. My older sister has a single 10. It's like when dad is a basdheads the whole family gets a system. My future wife don't have a choice she's getting a system put in her car.
I'm forty and my ten year old son has his system picked out. He wants two nko tens , four pioneer pro 6x9s , some old school ppi tweets all powered by a pioneer 1200 mono and a McIntosh four Chan for the 6x9s.....he's ten!! The wife has the big dog factory unit in her Jeep so she's fine....for now😏
The older you get, the more you like quality parts and sound. Just did an install on my 2012 crew cab Colorado. Nice new deck. All component front and rear with 4 10's in a custom box in the back. Have always been a bass head, my son is the same way. I'm 48 now :)
@@megaglowz8540 my son wants me to drop him off first day of school playing post Malone or something like it with bass, he's at that age now where being a little cool helps😉
Hello, I’ve seen a lot of your videos the past couple years at random searching and learning, and I’ve come to enjoy watching you work. Thank you , subscribed and rang, have a great new year bud!
Hey exo just got my first sub a couple of days ago, it's a pioneer 12in 300 watt with a alpine 500watt amp. I'm hoping soon to get something better. Love the vids keep it up, you inspired me to start getting into audio
Maybe consider a relief vent through the rear deck to allow some of the woofer pressure to not damage the 6x9s. I have damaged a pair or two in the past from that. Last time I ended up replacing for some sealed back midrange speakers and a tweeter. I hear ya on the back ache. Sometimes I just lay back for a good minute before getting out the rest of the way.
I made an enclosure for the rear deck speakers. Instead of the 6/9s I installed 6 1/4 Kenwood speakers with a port on the enclosure facing up so the bass from the trunk wouldn't affect the sound quality or push on the speakers. Gonna put a vid up on my channel about it soon.
lol @ your outro noise. Your videos are great man. Keep on putting out quality content like this and you will be golden. Things I noticed are your camera angles are awesome. You don't just have one point of view, you have multiple cameras running so you can take the best shot you have while editing; this is very helpful for people who are trying to learn what you are teaching. You also have a natural ability to keep the video entertaining which makes people like me who already know a bit about car audio more likely to watch one of your videos "just because" and also makes the people who are getting into car audio get excited about it and have a good time. You got yourself a new subscriber. Keep it high and tight :)
I replaced the rear speakers in my 03 camry, im far to cheap to buy adapter plates.... I used self taping screws... Worked great had no clearance issues. Its holding really good.
Thank you. good vdo, i end up using the old bracket and tie it with zip tile. It is good enough. Also, you don't need harness adapter, cost too much. Use the flux and unsolder it and solder it back. Make sure the positive and negative are the same connection when soldering. Easy
Nvx makes some quality shit. I've had nothing but good experience with their products. I've been running their bassknob for a few years and have had zero problems with it considering I took it apart to custom mount it in my console and it has a giant knob on it...
I use a pair of Kicker 6x9’s that are basically little subwoofers. They hit down to bout 30hz and take 150rms. Bought me years ago on sale and I love the darn things
Great video brother, glad to finally meet you last weekend. I was going to give you a set of those Ecstacy subs but I missed you. I will bring a set to slam for ya
Funny you uploaded this video today. I just got a 2002 Accord about 2 hours ago and I have to do something like this but much easier. I have to take my Infinity 6x9s out of my 2001 Accord and install them into my 2002 Accord. I'm just concerned about the damn wire clips on the factory 6x9s. I'm probably going to have to wait till I get to work to use a solder iron and go to the cable department and to get some wire butts. Also change out the deck and the front speakers. Glad it will be just plug and play since they are basically the same car. I'm going from a DX manual with roll up windows to a SE Special Edition. No more rolling up windows on the freeway when it starts raining lol :D
I’m sorry but I have to confess, watching the quality of work you’re doing has me considering hiring this job out. I’d never have thought about some of these extra steps. How much do you charge for this level of quality/expertise?
Hey bro so I been watching you for years now what would be great is a how to videos from start to finish and why you use certain products also how to put a fuse inline that kinda stuff I really want to get into car audio but still no sure where to start so would love some recommendations for good speaker makers and what to look for
The little plastic buttons that you use the panel popper too to take out: are notorious for rattle noise. I like to use a little Tessa tape, the flannel stuff, on them when I'm putting them back in.
Good video EXO, I have a 2015 corolla and the process is the exact same. I'd recommend putting some weather stripping/deadener between the windshield glass and the little quarter panel (peach colored/airbag) covers, cause it smacks the rear glass and makes an awful sound. Took me forever to hunt down. That entire Deck is a mess, I had to put damn near 15 pounds of deadener on the deck and the cover, and an extra layer of quilt batting up under it, so it would stop rattling.
Happy Friday, Everyone!!! :D
EXOcontralto hola
EXOcontralto you should shop at crutchfield.com they will give you brackets for free for purchase
EXOcontralto hello :)
Hey! Could you do a review of the JBL partybox 300? Edit: have a good Friday also :) I'm kinda mad I hadnt found your channel earlier, I found it awhile back and have been subbed with notifications since!
EXOcontralto can u do a quick video on how to make em out of wood.
Good to see you doing basic installs for all the people new to car audio. Having a wide range of content is always a plus!
Man, I've done this 8 or 9 times to different cars, but I just HAD to watch this cuz it's EXO!!
Yep me too
Thanks man. This can all be a bit intimidating for us noobs. You make it look doable.
I can remember when rear deck speakers could be installed from below the rear deck and were the easiest part of a audio upgrade. Now they are just as hard as the front speakers or door speakers.
6:57, I saw that bolt go in that hole I’m like “nooooooo”

Jesus, that car looks like a dream to work in. My 2003 G35 coupe is nothing like that. Imagine sitting on the fuel tank of the back seat with no doors and sun incinerating you while everything kicks your ass
My setup is almost identical to this video, and I thought I had it rough 😭
I find applying sound deadening material immensely satisfying, it's the way you can immediately tell the difference when you knock on a panel. When I did my doors I had to cut a hole in the inner door metal so the speakers had space to breathe and then deaden the outer skin.
I tore up my hands doin it but the sound was massively improved and the doors now sound like thick wood when you knock on them, it was worth the effort and many cuts.
I love that you are doing this as my wife has the same car and I’ve been thinking of doing a small build as well.
I did this in my Toyota Camry and I re-used the old speaker brackets by cutting the speaker out and drilled my new speakers on to the bracket
This method works but doesn't always mean you should.
On the cheap or hurry will do the job
Does the job, but is it truly a clean install? Rattles, noise...
His videos make me happy.
If you buy the speakers from Crutchfield all the speaker rings and connectors are free as well as shipping. Not sure if you've ever dealt with them but definitely worth looking into. Right on tho dude, handle it!
Yea, because most of their products are overpriced. So, not actually getting anything free.
"Those who say car audio isnt hard work.. clearly haven't been in a BACK BREAKING POSITION "😂😂😂
Thx EXo can't wait to see the 4 channel install video 😎

Amazing, very informative, helpful and hilarious!
you have to disassemble half of the car to get to the speakers, well Toyota has to make something difficult at least, great video, I was looking for this along time ago !!!!
Good vid, love every one of your videos. Helps me feel less alone in my enthusiasm for car audio. Most people just don't get it💙💙💙
Starting to get into it myself. Audio is cool as hell. Replacing my stock speakers with 150 watt rms ones today!
Is it better to put speakers in the rear doors instead of rear deck if you have a subwoofer? I heard a subwoofer can cause deck speakers to sound distorted
That turned out great EXO! Tuned in for the next video.
doubling up on the screws to mount to the adapter... good thinking m8 I would have done the same thing. well dam sir your production on your videos has improved over the last 6 months man. keep the vids rollin.
Just had 2way AD's installed in a 2003 Camry, so well worth it!

Styrofoam baffle cups. They are cheap and protect againts speaker damage in cases like this.

Depends on how much power your pushing. My enclosures we're made from 3/4 MDF.

Trece Daves about 120 lol
I recently did the same thing but instead of the backseats i placed then in my dashboard. It was tricky fitting everything in but it is worth it!
