For driving single 4K monitor at 60 Hz, DisplayPort 1.2 is sufficient, you don't need 1.4. DP 1.4 is required when you're planning to run two 4K displays at 60 Hz. DP 1.4 supports a single video stream to run 4K@120 Hz. The HUB you're using, basically divides that single DP 1.4 video stream into two DP 1.2 outputs using MST or Multi Stream Support.
Great video. I wanted to ask. I have 2 external hard drives (2 TB each) and they do not have their own AC adapter, just connected via a USB. Do I need to connect an AC adapter to this unit and plug it the wall to generate power?

Can This hub work with asus tuf a15(usb 3.2 gen 2 type-C with Display port which support upto 10 Gbit/s) with all functionalities such as Gigabit Ethernet port , headphones jack , type c port but what about power delivery port ? I think Tuf a15 not support power delivery

Recently bought a similar hub on Amazon, and I’ve noticed that it will dim the brightness on one of my monitors - despite it being a top of the range Samsung monitor.
