Dr. Emad is a consultant psychiatrist and a member of the British Royal College and the Arab Board of Psychiatry. Holding a master's degree in psychiatry and neurology from Cairo University, he has established himself as a prominent figure in the field. As a training supervisor at Rakhawy Hospital for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, he has played a crucial role in shaping the careers of aspiring psychiatrists. In the past, he has served as the Director of Rakhawy Hospital, overseeing its operations and providing guidance to the team of psychiatrists working there. He has also collaborated with Doctors Without Borders, lending his expertise to their important work.
Recognizing his contributions and knowledge, Sheffield University bestowed upon him the honorary title of teacher. This recognition further solidified his reputation as an authority in the realm of psychiatry. Throughout his career, he has accumulated extensive clinical experience in old age psychiatry, enabling him to effectively address the unique challenges faced by elderly patients.
In order to broaden his skill set, he pursued specialized training in various areas. He completed training in forensic psychiatry, equipping him with the expertise to navigate the intersection of mental health and the legal system. Furthermore, he acquired valuable knowledge in the treatment of eating disorders, personality disorders, and dual diagnoses through training programs conducted at esteemed institutions such as Birmingham Hospitals in the UK.
