I'm going to quote that last phrase. It's perfect for those that say we shouldn't talk about polemic subjects, specially when it's something they disagree with.
Cú Chulainn is pronounced Koo Kullen, he was the nephew of a king, he was a warrior and a knight, I don't know that he ever became a king, open to correction for anyone more familier with the story.
He was on paper the nephew of a King but I always considered him more of an ass-kickin' demigod bombing around ancient Ireland with the heads of his enemies tied to his chariot.
Mr DD, it came from your MA English degree from a university. I'm a fan since 30 years so I kept the track of your life. Don't make fun of your son kyed miller if I'm pronouncing his name correctly. Your children are lovely. God bless them both.
Cú Chulainn is the Irish spelling, and it's pronounced as 'Coo Cullen'. He is an ancient Irish mythical figure from pre Christianity, Celtic times. We learn about him and other mythical folklore stories like that in, as you guys say, elementary school. Primary school to us.
Just finished the episode in season 6 of X-Files where he finds out what happened to Samantha and then I find out there's a vid of him on the Late Show, this makes me happy. :D
I would be lying if I didn't say it's a little disappointing that he doesn't believe in UFO's or Ghosts -- or other strange things in the spirit world - but he does play a very convincing role in the X-files.... :)
It's pronounced Coo-Cullen Mr Duchovny, Cuchulain translates directly as "The Hound of Cullan" as the young Setanta killed Cullan's famously ferocious hound with a stone fired from his Hurley at the tender age of seven, and then agreed to stand the duty of the hound until he found another. Have a read of the legend if you haven't already, its a good yarn, I'd also recommend On Raven's Wing by Morgan Llywelyn as a great retelling of Cuchulains tale, and the whole of David Gemmell's Rigante cycle as an intro to Celtic myth and Legend(although the Rigante are based more on Highland Scots than Irish Legend-but as Billy Connolly famously put it "Scottish people are just Irish folk who said OVER HERE, WE FOUND SOMEWHERE EVEN MORE COLD AND MISERABLE!). I'll be reading Miss Subways, thank you.

I didn't think there was any awkward editing. Seemed clear to me the audience was laughing because they expected David to answer that his kid was like 5 years old or something, and instead he said 15. Given that Duchovny doesn't believe in the supernatural, it's strange that he didn't get why the audience laughed at that, but maybe he was just protecting his son's honor, and maybe Stephen was also feigning ignorance to do the same.
