I wish this interview were longer. Smigel is such a talent. He's also the guy behind the Saturday TV Funhouse cartoons on SNL, like The Ambiguously Gay Duo, and the voice of celebrities in the hilarious Live Via Satellite bits on Conan's old late night show. Jingle All The Way!!!!

Gregory Coté I thought it was fun. Surely the best Sandler movie to come out of the Netflix deal and his best since Zohan.
Thank you for the confirmation... I think we were all coming to that conclusion pretty rapidly but it's still good to get supporting opinions. Shame... Sandler can actually do a decent job but his range is limited and he almost never has a script that's worth filming or a director who can reign in his nonsense.

Comedians are the first people to notice and describe BS in the world. Smigel mentioning the perfectly prepared "folksy" speeches by Cruz focuses on the most unlikable aspect of Cruz. His pretend sanctimonious concern.

It's safe to say, 'No Smigel, No Late Show with Stephen Colbert'. It took Bob Smigel, Dana Carvey & Louis CK, and Stephen's talent, of course.
He had worked for Conan from 1993. A great guy. Helped Conan a lot. The Triumph was his best work in the 90s.

conan made a show on nyc some years ago... and triumph was there... another time was during the promotion of mcbrayer and triumph's show... but mostly some of the old folks have their own career on comedy, so it's more difficult to see them with coco
