I agree. It's that chemistry that made fans want them to be a couple, but on-screen chemistry doesn't always mean a relationship will work. Plus, it can ruin shows and films; just ask J-Lo & Ben's Gigli and Ben's Batman movie. Chris was smart to keep them apart and ride the tension.
Here's that Golden Globes clip, and to me Gillian could just as easily be turning away from the camera because David brought her up & the cameras went to her. She's a seasoned professional, I believe she simply wanted the cameras to focus on the man at the mic.

David, Tea, and, Gillian are all class acts. None of them have ever really felt comfortable disclosing their private life and I highly respect that, especially in today’s world. I think it has been great and they don’t sit there and bash each other like so many other people have but to each their own. I will always be a huge X-Files and David fan and he is tremendously talented, obviously. He is one of only a few men to win a Golden Globe for a comedy and drama series!
Ok, I never saw it as an eye roll. She looks bashful and maybe a little embarrassed/ashamed that she forgot to say something about him. He escorted her to the Golden Globes that night to support her after she announced her divorce. When she won, David was the first person she turned to and kissed him square on the lips. You can tell they loved each and there was a lot of sexual tension, but any two people working so much together, regardless of how much they adore each other, are gonna have fights. I've been with my husband for 19 yrs, and we rarely argue, but if I had to spend that amount of time with him, that David and Gillian did, we would argue all the time.
Plus she won her Golden Globe award before him, forgot to thank him because of nerves and when he thanked her you could see how embarrassed/angry she was at herself for forgetting him. There is even a video out there of the moment.

That theory is utter rubbish. What happened was she won her award first and forgot to mention David in her acceptance speech.
Immediately after her award, David won his. She was waiting in the wings just off stage while he gave his speech where he thanked her for being the best co-star.
The look on her face was one of chagrin/embarrassment for having forgotten to thank him in her speech, like she was kicking herself.

David is an incredible actor and so is Gillian. I'm a huge David fan and admire all he has accomplished. I have always felt that his private life is his business.
They are both stellar actors but that doesn't mean they don't have problems just like the rest of us and those problems are always put in the spotlight, I wouldn't like that..
David is awesome. I loved Californication. Gillian has gotten so much more alluring since the 90's, like a fine wine. So glad Tea and Dave don't hate each other. He's awesome because he was born on Aug. 7, the best day ever every year.
They definitely have chemistry and vibe with each other no doubt Daves a lucky man but hes also highly talented and charming so its a good match in my opinion. Gillians definitely a keeper the ladies a dime looks personality and talent.

No romance doesn't mean no "relations". Juliana Margulies accidently outed them a week or so ago that they hooked up before the show even got picked up. So around auditions and the pilot. Apparently, it is a well know "secret" around Hollywood. And this was way before she got married and he met Tea Leoni. I feel like they now have an Alterous relationship. Which I absolutely love. In the behind the season of Season 11 they say "I love you" to each other and then David realized after that it was caught on camera. It's great they have such a close friendship now.

Definitely happened (I watched it live back in the day) but for more complicated reasons. See the first comments on this thread. She massively screwed up her own acceptance speech and realized it when he thanked her... bc she forgot to thank him. Lots of gossip about it afterward.

I feel there is a lot of sensationalism here in this video and over these decades of gossipy news. David was Gillians date that night at the awards show, she wouldn't be rolling her eyes over his comments. She was nervous and forgot to thank a lot of people in her speech! She was reacting to his words because she had forgotten to mention him in her speech! I feel like their "fights" were also waaaay overblown and exaggerated!!! You see them together now and they are friends. I don't think that could have happened had the fighting been as serious as the media makes it out to be...

I don't see him as looking stunning he's just looking his age, you would think he would get a lift or two like why not everyone else has. As for his cheating I heard about him right after The X-Files started to air, he went through one woman after another. I believe Tea Leone knew this of course & went for it anyway, he even cheated on her 2 weeks before his wedding to her & she still married him. Seems he was more of a trophy husband to her when you just gotta have him knowing what he's all about before you marry him!
It's a pity that most people don't recognise the destructive and loneliness that comes from sex addiction. I feel sorry for David and appreciate how Gillian and Tea even now try to help support him in life it shows an empathetic and compassionate response to a very real affliction.

I'm not gonna be with him at all, but they still are in love with each other. He refers to her as his first wife, hence Californiacation entire plotline. "He's desperately in love with his first wife." Is what David described the show as right after he broke up with Tea Leoni. This was during one of The X-Files panels for the second movie. Gillian just stared off to the distance like she didn't want to acknowledge what he was saying. They're always going to be in love with each other, but Gillian is not willing to step back into that fire 'cause she knows she just get burned again 'cause he still Can't help himself sexualy

She was the queen mother or something in the crown so she had to sound British for the role. She can definitely pull of the high society British accent without flaw but I would like to see her as a Russian czarina speaking with a Russian accent and in the language that would fit perfectly for her. She would have made and excellent cercie in GOT or Katlyn Stark in the TV series on HBO. Shes definitely versatile as an actress and she like David is intelligent and independent and knows what shes looking for but shouldn't pass for a villain or a protagonist. Malfecient portrayed by Jolie worked well but wouldn't suit Gillian. She would make for a good cercie in GOT OR Targarian in the right context but shes more like priestly in Devil wears Prada. Would love to see more movies with her as the lead shes a great actress. top finest along with Beth Broderick Nicolette Sheridan Heather Locklear Morgan Fairchild and Susan Blakely.
