What do you do about bugs? Also, if you throw fruits and veggies into the compost bin, then use the compost to start other plants, will other fruits grow with it because of the seed? Or does the compost decompose the seeds too?

It depends on how hot your compost pile is. Typically, it gets hot enough to kill off any seeds

There's typically no worms in the compost bins. It's too hot in there for them.
