I have been to that concert! Love it, memories in my head! A friend of mine is the headbanger at 7:10 min, he was the only guy who climbed on the stage on that concert, Layne helped him Layne RIP
Hahaha - I love how Layne points to someone in the crowd before the chorus and says "you're gonna sing it" So sad he went from energetic in 93 to damn near immobile by the time of unplugged in 96
:-) my God is there anyone who can sing like this? im hooked 4 20+ years to AiC, because of this voice, hipnotic, i still cant believe hes gone, he made the songs great, ´cause of his voice, wanted 2 hear 4 20 more, my favorite singer too always, love you always!!
Despite the hideous quality of this video you get the solid sense of Staley's vocal power. Such a great rock voice. People forget what a dark and affecting lyricist he is.
What a fucking titan of vocals. He'll always be my favorite vocalist....so unique! I always thought this was his best hair style as well (the dude was known for changing up the 'do!)
he was nearly immobile in 95 already, with Mad Season. Too sad, what a loss for music! I've heard that the morning after their last consert in -96 they could not wake Layne up, so it all ended in hospital. I winder if he knew that was it? Poor Layne!
I noticed that. just the chrous. "the lady who i feel maternal love for can not look me in the eyes...." that part sounds similar to alice in chains. people that deny that obvoisly dont know the song. cause it sounds very similar
they did a live video on this show for headbanger´s ball on mtv, and the cam is def. on a stativ, so i guess it´s one of the "mtv"-cams, prob. digibeta...
@jalkkis i´m the guy... never forget this moment, how much luck can you have, finding something like this on the web... the day after i told everyone i´ve been on stage for 2-3 minutes, believing i was telling the truth... 20 years later, haha, 10 seconds or something... my son was shocked about the hair... see the cycle i´ve waited for... haha
One thing that is hard to do after years of crack cocaine addiction is to play guitar and sing at the same time. Coordinated delivery deteriorates. Maybe a reason he didn’t do it very often.
i used to do that until people like that ruined the only time i ever saw Jane's Addiction, and another time at a BOC concert. i realized how stupid that is. sing in your shower, not at the show. you ruin it for others.
that was me , and it wasnt too bad at all. It was pretty cooI . I was 15 years old and layne the rockstar pointed his finger at me and i was screaming the chorus of one of my favourite bands at that time (still..), I was just like woooow! it was one of the greatest moments in my life my friend

I give props to Nirvana, but Alice In Chains was the best thing to come out of the 90's.
Alice In Chains is absolutely the hardest rock band of all time!
His hair was the best like this. GREAT SONG.
The guys totally rocked this show, love it!
Love you Layne
The greatest singer of all my life 💓 AIC great band love them ❤️
I think live Facelift was probably the best, this is a good one, check out Silver Dollar Saloon in 91
Amazing performance!
RIP LAYNE STALEY (1967-2002)
Takes me back to those wonderful dysfunctional 90s. Thanks!
Yes, very very very lucky friend!!!

Layne is in great form during this show...and physically he looks outstanding...does anyone know if this is right after a stint in rehab????

Layne total bad ass, he mastered the drums, learned the s ing and play guitar at the same time. Badass singer and totally hot. A total loss.

i used to do that until people like that ruined the only time i ever saw Jane's Addiction, and another time at a BOC concert. i realized how stupid that is. sing in your shower, not at the show. you ruin it for others.
