God this is beautiful it has all the same energy of homestuck with the love of a fan who really loves homestuck all the detailed sprites and animations the dumb moments with hussie the amazing fight scenes so good
This whole animatic feels so much like a love letter to the comic, you got everything down, even the most unnoticeable details. You should all be proud of your work, it immensely paid off

I would kill for act 8. If a genie came to my housr and told me it could grant me three wishes, my first one would be to make homestuck have a better ending. I would kill for this to happen, and I'm NOT kidding.

so incredible... this is absolutely the best homestuck fan project out there, and by such talented people 😭
well as a collaboration I liked it, there were a few weird choices that felt out of place but overall it didn't last for that long and I'm not going to point out what I'm being nitpicky about because overall the rest of the contributions definitely outweigh the minor gripes.
i think it was pretty incredible all around, normal flashes don’t even have proper hand drawn animation, so i’m very happy
I love how Calliope blinds herself as to "inspire herself" by her surroundings to get around, basically she's kinda like toph using space around her to know or have an inspiring idea of the space around her (i could be wrong but thats what im understanding based on the explanation of her classpect and this video)

This is so amazing! Incredible animation and gorgeous art. I've said before that Act 8 is my favorite "re-writing" of Homestuck's ending. I'm looking forward to rereading the whole thing once you start updating again! I'm so happy that you are continuing with the project!
OMG this is epic!!!! i watched the unfinished flash so many times over the years, and seeing the rest of it completed, after I thought it never would be... dude i am so happy! the animation, the art, the concepts, the music, all of it flows so nice. special shoutout to the music though, it it is crazy how much i've listened to Limelight and the Crystalmethequins + Schala remix lmao. anyway i'm so excited to see the rest of this project finished!
Honestly this is so great, the fact that you guys have the beta kids playing the rain TOGETHER is so beautiful. Ike to me that little scene of them playing together is what j think reps homestuck to its core. A bunch of kids getting together in a game. I wish homestuck had more scenes like this

Oh, my god, this is so freaking good! I have actual chills.
I cannot believe the amount of effort you put into this, it's so perfectly in the Homestuck style, from the art and the varying styles, the animation, the music, the editing/directing choices, it all emulates the style so well I was in a trance.
Then, out of nowhere, I got sucker-punched by Homestuck the anime, which is so brilliantly animated that I actually started tearing up.
This is such a beautifully executed love letter to Homestuck that I'm surprised that this only has 35k views, I'm still in awe of the time and skill that must have gone into this. Just, wow

I've followed Act 8 since near its beginning and while my interest in Homestuck has waned over the years... I will never forget the journey it put me on. So, I don't know what the fuck is happening here because I never followed this project (Though is really well made so is easy to understand). However, all I really care for is the awesome scene with the kids playing music and fighting together, something Hussie never gave us, and really, that is the worst of his sins.

What REALLY got me into homestuck was the interpersonal bonds and relationships between the characters so what they did during the later acts of the official comics and the absolute and utter travesty that was the so called epilouges and canon/non-canon sequel bs was heartbreaking and completely frustrating.
Was really truly invested in these characters and they pretty much made most of them self destruct, become twisted mirrors and/or die because they couldn't leave well enough alone and had to have their personal say

this is soooooo good, i especially loved the whole section with the beta kids!!! i'm super excited to see terezi reunite with aradia, sollux and tavros as well. her relationships with them are some of my favourites ever and i'd be ecstatic to see them further explored :) this fan adventure is practically the only connection i have with homestuck and i can't wait for the next update because so far it's given me absolutely everything i wanted from the og comic
