Holy shit, i know nothing about the story of act 8 but this is amazing, it looks like an official thing and i can't even begin to explain how cool is to see alt calliope's PoV? even if its just a little thing The fully animated scenes at the end are so cool omfg, you guys did an amazing job with this, i love every second of it, i think i'm gonna read act 8
This whole animatic feels so much like a love letter to the comic, you got everything down, even the most unnoticeable details. You should all be proud of your work, it immensely paid off

well as a collaboration I liked it, there were a few weird choices that felt out of place but overall it didn't last for that long and I'm not going to point out what I'm being nitpicky about because overall the rest of the contributions definitely outweigh the minor gripes.

I cannot believe the amount of effort you put into this, it's so perfectly in the Homestuck style, from the art and the varying styles, the animation, the music, the editing/directing choices, it all emulates the style so well I was in a trance. Then, out of nowhere, I got sucker-punched by Homestuck the anime, which is so brilliantly animated that I actually started tearing up. This is such a beautifully executed love letter to Homestuck that I'm surprised that this only has 35k views, I'm still in awe of the time and skill that must have gone into this. Just, wow

I love how Calliope blinds herself as to "inspire herself" by her surroundings to get around, basically she's kinda like toph using space around her to know or have an inspiring idea of the space around her (i could be wrong but thats what im understanding based on the explanation of her classpect and this video)

What REALLY got me into homestuck was the interpersonal bonds and relationships between the characters so what they did during the later acts of the official comics and the absolute and utter travesty that was the so called epilouges and canon/non-canon sequel bs was heartbreaking and completely frustrating. Was really truly invested in these characters and they pretty much made most of them self destruct, become twisted mirrors and/or die because they couldn't leave well enough alone and had to have their personal say

I just today reached this page of Act 8 and I love it so far ^w^ ^w^ I loved the part of the flash when all the Beta Kids fought Rose's denizen, and the story of Alt!Callie. I'm also really curious about what's going to happen with Terezi and Karkat (and with Gamzee and Damara as well) Also the part almost at the end with with all of the Sburb machine-things kinda confused me ngl, so I'm even more excited to see what about that uwu EDIT (2y later): Just wanted to comment in how pretty Damara looks in the scene where she's handed the sword, I love so much how she's drawn
