Seeing Karkat take a piece of action and use his blood classpect/god tier powers and finish her off is SO satisfying you have no idea.
I know we never really see him use his powers ever
its the irony on the condese, who has spilled so much blood, that he uses to end her, and her corrupt system that isolated him from forming bonds and friendships

One thing I like in particular is the fact that Karkat's final attack looks like an inverse Red Miles, the power Comes from everyone's chest and Goes to his hand. I dont know if that was intentional or not but I find it strangely fitting.
This is how Homestuck always should've ended. The final redemption for every abused character and the final damnation for the one who abused them.

Jake and Erisol filled out their Team's Hope, while Eridan destroyed all of The Condesce's Hope.

This whole thing is incredible, and a better conclusion than what we got in canon. But my favorite part is Karkat finally realizing his potential as a Knight of Blood, weaponizing the bonds he has with his friends and his/their ancestor(s) as well as the emotions of everyone the Condesce has ever hurt. United in purpose across universes and eons with all those who have Suffered under her.
It's like a poem, it has to rhyme - George Lucas in stories
A good story calls back to previous points it made and has them included in the end, and Karkat is all about the connections people make.

frankly, as a homestuck styled animation, this is fucking incredible. one of the best homestuck animations that i've seen.
Karkat has finally proven he deserves the title of "Knight of Blood".
every AU i've seen in which Karkat finally gets to use Blood powers is usually a great one
He already proves in comic why he deserves he’s fitting of his title, people just want to see what it would look like if he had the power boost of god tier, honestly the fact that he’s made as many strides and realizations as he had without god tier is a much better dynamic then relying on the crux of god tier to earn your title

Soooo. How was it.
I really super wish we had seen more choreographed God Tier fights like this in OG Homestuck. Getting a look at what Hussie originally intended each Aspect would have as offensive powers would have been super cool, but I feel like most characters' potentials were let down. I would have waited years in between updates if it meant that the final battles in Collide looked anything like this.
There is just so much I love about this. I love how Terezi and the Roses were flitting about the battlefield providing strategies as Seers. I loved seeing the coordinated attacks from heroes of the same aspect. I loved how the Condesce looked at these children and saw her enemies coming back from the metaphorical and literal graves to haunt her. I think most of all I loved that Karkat, descended from the Signless, was the one to finish the Condesce off. I was screaming and “OOOO”ing and making goblin laughter noises at every minute of this animation (which made me glad my mom wasn’t here to give me worried looks). Thank you for the hard work that went into orchestrating and creating this final battle. I’m gonna go scream at my friend to read this AU even louder now 💕
Ok, now that I’m more calm and articulate, I’m gonna rant about the specifics and give what I remember from my reactions at each moment bc I have no one else to yell at them about rn.
The intro. The moment that rock was thrown at her and she turned it to dust I went “hueueueuehheh there’s gonna be someone behind it >:3” and then there was EVERYONE behind it. When I tell you my blood started pumping ooooooooooo.
The strife music. The Condesce seeing her enemies in every person standing against her. HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Poetic. Fucking. Cinema.
1:12 - HEROS OF LIFE COME THROUGHHHHH HEROS OF HOPE LET’S GOOOOOOO
1:33 - Sollux the goddamn Doom player finally getting to use his powers finally
1:40 onward - Terezi and the Roses coordinating the others my bELOVEDDD
2:10 - THE WINDY THING. THE GLOWING EYES. HEROS OF BREATH DOING THE MOST METAL AIRBENDING MOVE I’VE EVER SEEN
2:30 - Hhhhhhhhheart players my beloved. Love the pulsating lights to the beat of the music. Also, you know those ominous beats of music in the Pokemon games when you enter a battle with the Elite 4 leader or the story-finale legendary? That’s what this moment felt like.
2:55 - The way I screamed for Nanna’s life. Meraki you are sadistic for cutting to a red screen here. I love that you can see how tense everyone is. Also, more Seer coordination my beloved.
3:20 - OOOOOOOOO Karkat timeeee. Terezi what did you say to Karkat? You got a big grin there.
3:39 - FINAL VERDICT TIME BAYBEYYYY LET’S GOOOOO
3:50 - W-wait is Karkat… Is he… is he making the final kill?
4:00 - THE FUCKING SIGNLESS’S DESCENDANT KILLING THE CONDESCE AND ENDING HER FUCKING REIGN OF TYRANNY LIKE HE ALWAYS WANTED POETIC CINEMA MY BELOVEDDDDDDDD
4:16 - I actually didn’t notice it until my second watch to make this bc I was too shocked my first time around but… The ghosts of all these children she killed. Countless generations of trolls and would-be heiresses. She, as a Thief of Life, stole these lives away and kept them trapped to sustain her. Their laughter as they flew off, finally free to move on and becoming lights in a starless sky. Feferi and Fefeta hugging because it’s finally over. It’s such a quiet moment that allows the tension to release and just makes a great finale to this battle

It's also a tactical move, life is obvious, but maxing out hope helps make them even fiercer in a fight
I have discovered the crow strider AU through this. I may have also cried bcs all I've ever wanted out of homestuck is to see the whole gang together, using their cool godtier mixed leitmotifs together, all fighting the BBEG as one big team

Honestly it makes Canon Condesce look like she wasn’t even trying because she literally got jumped by Roxy.
Before this she had to fight John, June, Rose, Roxy, Kanaya, Feferi, Davepeta, and Nanna and she was still kicking their asses.

@@infinityheart_tm9270 You act like the backstab was a separate event from the rest of the fight rather than the blow that ended it. They all fought her, weakened her, wore her down, and with infinite heals from their 3 OP healers could basically outlast her forever. All it took was the Condesce slipping up once for Roxy to use her powers of Void to land the killing blow. It was the culmination of all their efforts, not a distinct separate event.

idk if anyone noticed but when karkat, due to terezi whispering encouragements to him, finally tapped into his knight of blood powers, he grew wings, which can be seen both when hes fully into harboring the knight of blood powers and when he cuts her imperious condescension's head off

I remember watching this when it first came out, and I still feel the same way now as I did then: amazed at the amount of thought and effort put into this au. It's definitely one of my favorite fanworks to come from the Homestuck community.
the amount of emotional stuff that happens in this video warmed my heart.. like when they all appeared to fight the Condesce together and the silhouettes of their ancestors/alternate selfs/ relatives appeared, that was an awesome detail!!

@@infinityheart_tm9270He WAS very angry on multiple levels, for a variety of justified reasons. And you should remember the look on The Condesce's face. The fear she had for KARKAT, the weakest troll, the mutant, the heretic, THE CHILD. If that isn't poetry I don't know what is.
Genuinely one of the best homestuck flashes I've ever seen, including the official ones. I can't express enough how well made this is, or how good of an ending it is to the story of these characters. This, I think, is the ending they deserved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing that, as well as for your wonderful AU in general.

I like think that somewhere in the void there's a dream bubble where she's living out, one final dream bubble holding her and her greatest desire. And in that dream she's with a little blue boy that tells her all sorts of jokes while she bakes. Maybe a mustached Colonel is there with here and together they are living a peaceful life. Even if it is an impossible dream, she has something kind and honest with her now.

One was an heir of death of destruction, two things she loved to do but ultimately costed her. Her other heir was of the one thing she never allowed, freedom. She never truly had an heir or heiresss.

I just gotta say I love that karkat is the one that deals the final blow, just imagine it. A MUNTANT is the one that takes her down, someone she sees lower then low was the one to kill her after LITERAL CENTURYS of pain and suffering to the vantas family.
I love everything about this story. The art, the writing, the characters, the amount of insanely cool moments that give every character a moment to shine. You are an inspiration and it saddens me that more people don't know about this fanventure. Bravo, just simply Bravo.
Yo, I just noticed, Just before Karkat cuts her head off we see her life literally FLASH BEFORE HER EYES. I’m just gonna say it, looking at shit from her point of view was a fucking amazing way to end it.

This was such a good video. I loved that you managed to work the large cast into the fight. It made for a satisfying viewing. Seeing Karkat being able to finish it was unexpected but fitting. It was like the Signless finally deafeated the tyrant. :)

ok so since i don't have an mspfa account and i'm too lazy to make one, i'm just gonna say this here (spoilers for like 200 pages later (specifically page 2737))
Page 2737 of the Crow Strider AU has got to be my favorite singular page from any single MSPFA or the original Homestuck. We've known from the very start that Crow regrets not bringing his Rose along, yet accepts it. Now, when he finally reunites with a long lost friend from 3 years ago, he collapses and cries of joy. It's simply heart-wrenching, and I absolutely adore it. Meraki Sunset, you absolute madperson. You've made an MSPFA which I think is better than MSPA itself. Great work.

the crow strider au is my favorite fan adventure I HAD SHIVERS THE ENTIRE TIME WHILE WATCHING THIS
People may say it’s overrated, but to me it services as that one timeline that will provide a happier ending to the game of suffering that is Sburb and how it allows certain characters like Nanna of all people into the spotlight. Also it’s one of the few interpretations I’ve seen where the retcon actually adds something of substance in the form of the trans Harleybert siblings(that’s what I’m calling John and Jade) and somehow making me actually consider June as an actual possibility in canon because it doesn’t make sense for John to be feminine. People may say it was stuffed in, but to me I literally thought “Now THAT’S funny.” And it’s not like it’s entirely consequence free as Dad Crocker bit the dust and that being the catalyst for Jane to never want to be like The Condesce. Also being added to Tavros’ harem because that’s what it is and I’m tired of pretending it’s not.
I'd the say the only part I have any problem with in this AU is that Slick got killed off without talking to Karkat one last time. Stabdads really got my heart and I'd love to see some more of it.

@@idioticlight spades slick and the midnight crew were my favorite characters and we never got a follow up on them besides SS in hospital and fighting. Hell, Die's voodoo doll could've brought them back like it did the felt but it never did. I would've been fine with SS saying "Kid?" To karkat before dying.

A few hours later here I am. This is the best decision I've done.
This video really appeared out of nowhere and became my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE fan made homestuck video.
[sees john and jane existing at the same time] oh that makes sense different timelines mean different life experience
[sees heart players weighing her down with Heavy Hearts] oh i might have to read this
[sees karkat doing the blood thing] oh i have to read this huh
[sees the blood thing seemingly makes karkat takes in everyone's suffering to buff him] OH I HAVE TO READ THIS HUH
i have already been turned into a blubbering mess by the time the heiresses are freed
The good act 6, just because its not Alpha does not mean its destined to have a worse outcome. I also love how English is just totally beating the hell out of a bunch of ghosts during this and making the Alpha the inferior timeline.
Since Pesterquest, we know that there isn’t a binary scale on whether a timeline is successful or not or overall better than the Alpha Timeline. In the case of Crow Strider AU, it goes with the ideology that this a Resolved Timeline, where parts of the Alpha Timeline slip into this one(i.e the existence of Davepeta and Jas aka Jasperose) despite not really having too much of a reason to exist. All this being spun out due to Jade not dying in the Game Over timeline and upping John’s overall moral to where he chooses to save the dead trolls of his timeline.
This is the Smash Ultimate of Homestuck AUs.
I love this so much; not only is the animation god-like, but this AU, from what I have seen, gives the community a satisfying ending

This is an absolutely awesome animation! I find it to be absolutely epic to see just how powerful everyone would be at god tier. I loved seeing all the Breath players (John, June, and Tavros) work together to create a maelstrom. I loved the detail of all the Seers giving info to everyone. I loved the collaboration between the space, heart, and time players. Finally, I loved how Karkat got to be a fully realized Knight of Blood and harnessed the power of his friendship with everyone to finally destroy her. Overall, one of the best animations I have seen in a while.
Finally the magic system gets properly utilized
i have no idea what's going on but this is literally so cool. it makes me. semi emotional. love when people team up and (with their powers combined, even) defeat the big bad. together!!!!!
