Here's a retro-mod challenge: Aston Martin Vulcan
Hmm.Dope challenge
Victor
Oh god
or nissan maxima
We already have that. It's the Aston Martin Victor
this is my favourite series by far, always been wondering how modern cars would have looked like in the 60s 70s 80s
Me too agreed
Doug demuro: THISSSSS
Haaahaaa
Design a super car by mini please
He has designed a mid-engined mini before, great video as always!
imagine tho
I like these retrodesigns you do! It's not always pretty to see them (not because you desing them ugly, but it's just the era that don't fit that kind of design, which is the case of the Bentayga hahahaha), but it's actually cool to make this trip back in time!
Retro redesign a Porsche Cayenne into a 60s or 70s PORSCHE! (inspired by the 356 or the 911)
@Jonathan Losito interesting!
Retro Challenge: What if Volvo made an SUV in the 80's
Pretty good but there 3 minor issues : wheels and wheels arches are slightly too big , there no door hand and the gas door looks too modern
🤣🤣🤣he said hell show the final picture at the end but he showed the same one 🤣🤣
@@faithminz7788 the front bumper is lower at the end
I just commented on your community post about making Porsche suv from 80s 😂😂
@@Blahblahblah290 autocorrect sucks 😂😂
For those interested, Bentley did a custom SUV for the royal family of Brunei in the 1990s, called the Dominator-based on the RangeRover of the time.
Beautiful! Now I wanna know what a modernised LM002 would look like!
That's so nice. Please take a new Lincoln Navigator or Ford Expedition and make it how it would've looked in the 70's
Or better yet, take a Suburban and make it look like it was from the 70s....oh wait! Haha
@@jimbobjimbob8275 . The Suburban was made since the 30’s, and Ford never made a bigger SUV than the Bronco
@@youngcarboy535... Yeah, I know.
Using the Bentayga’s dash-to-axle ratio is part of the proportion issue with the final design. It’s way too wide and tall for its hood length. The Bentayga can get away with its proportions because its more rounded frontal design gives the eye a whole different frame of reference. Also, the T1/T2’s fenders don’t peak at their forward edges, but taper slightly off their peak just above the forward edge of the front wheel arch.
But the way you incorporate the roofline, windshield, and front graphic is really impressive.
Loving the vids bro. Keep pumping them up 👍
Man I'm speechless, your work is mind-blowing I love it.
Blackpanthaa: 'Its a foking house!'
LMAO
The front still isn't high enough. The sides are still lower to the ground which looks very weird. If you left the lowest chrome piece away the hight would probably match the front.

Door handles FFS! You getting careless more and in each of your late videos. :( Come on man! You are too good for that!
Lol
You are the real master sketcher.... Because u can get cars to future, and can also take the cars to past.....
Like u 3000....
i LOVE IT! I'd love to see a 930 style Cayenne
Please never stop doing this, I love/enjoy every single second of you videos
Retro mod challenge: CLK GTR if it was made in late 1970s or late 1980s
Love the balance in of the design in the Bentayga ,it has a luxurious feel an yet sporty and aggressive feel too.
bembli's cats at the start of the video makes me smile :)
I love how the front looks like an Austin Allegro, still, great work!
Mr SketchMonkey, would it have been easier or simpler to make an Arnage T sport wagon?
The treatment of the b pillar and deleting the rear spoiler ae nice touches. It really sells the look
"luxury SUVs that housewives only drive to Starbucks everyday and never go offroading" Good one!
Fam, no disrespect but this is a Rolls-Royce 🤣🤣🤣
Your Retro sketches are so thoughtful. Love your discipline in sticking to the design language of the time!
This is a outstanding representation of how you could bring an SUV into the past
wow do i love this channel lmao, idk why i’m so fascinated by luxury vehicle concepts in different decades 😩
Maybe try the Toyota 2000gt. The body lines of reminds me of a 240z.
He did make one
It's stunning. Has a bit of 'The Beast' (US Presidential Cadillac) in there.
It is looking weird because the size of the door and the window doesn't match. Back then the size of the window was quite a bit large. Also the headlamps with that grille should've been a bit low, which will eventually lower the front bonnet and arches [not too much as it is a SUV] which ultimately lowers the shoulder line; increasing the size of the window.
The prince of brunai has already a bently SUV from 90's
Not going to lie that actually looks pretty good
good design nice work mate. but I did like the design in which the front bumper was up, because when you lowered the bumper the front looked a bit weird, I think if you left up the side chrome piece juuust a little bit it would make such a big diffrence. but hey nice work cheers!!
All of this is so interesting thanks for uploading, and confirms that SUV's couldn't exists back then, only because they would have been outrageous and Rolls/Bentley very conservative customers would have considered them unbearable. Just a little comment if I may: the two examples referred to, the Bentley T1 sedan and the convertible, the Corniche, are not very fitting, simply because Bentleys never had the shoulder line as a distinctive design detail, it is just a feature of today with no historical precedents. Both of those cars were perfectly identical to the Rolls Royces of the same years, built in the same place, and the only distinction was the front grille. Not even the badge on the engines changed. The Bentley T1 was just a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow with a different grille, and the Bentley Corniche even had the same name as the Rolls Royce Corniche, and they both had that shoulder line with no difference, just to better harmonize the sideview when the roof was down, never used before in other previous models. The identities of the 2 brands at the time were completely canceled, unfortunately they were forced to do so due to a chronic lack of money to keep the cars updated and have two separate style lines. The only really different model was the Camargue, only branded as a Rolls Royce, but it was quite terrible. Even if styled by Pininfarina, the elegant and posh lines used in the Ferrari 365 gt4/400 i/412, on the Lancia Gamma coupé and Fiat 130 coupé didn't look well with typical Rolls Royce proportions, so the case still rests...😉
Actually, RR Cullinan is justified as 100 years ago when RR built its reputation of "the best cars in the world", they were used to traverse challenging terrains in utmost comfort and luxury and were built to the highest of standards. In those days there were more rough roads than smooth paved tarmac. So the existence of Cullinan is true to the roots of RR. The only issue is it didn't come before the likes of Urus and Bentayga, and that the front is a little "off". If you haven't redesigned the Cullinan, I'd like to make the suggestion.
How well do you think this would work doing the same to an Aston Martin DBX or a Lamborghini Urus
A Countach based SUV would be the most insane looking monster ever. I'd love to see it. I mean there was the LM002 but that didn't have the Lambo sporty lines.
@@greomgh yeah, the LM didnt really capture the Lambo essence but I still think its quite a cool car. But yeah, countach or muira based urus would be pretty sick
More of this please!
Did you get a new camera? Looks much better now!
Retro-mod challenge : Ford Mustang Mach E if it was made in the 60s with a big V8
Big fan of your work here. Would you redesign 1999 Hyundai Coupe? That's a different one, the round headlights and melted cheese lines
Great work as always👌👌
The A pillar on the left hand side (viewer's perspective) should be more sharply raked in my opinion. Even coupes or saloons wouldn't have such slope-y windows for the time period.
Can you add a roof rack with a Christmas tree laying down on top for fun? Love the design. Such a time-warp.
What do you think about Focus mk1 and would you like to make a redesign? Im driving 99' model so Im very curious what you think.
You should make Lightning McQueen look like a real car.
Keep up the good work because I am liking this video
I actually prefer the first gen Bentayga. The tail lights seem way too small on the newer one
The front of the new one looks much nicer in my opinion but agree with you about the rear.
you're wrong about the old Bentley 2 door coupe having a typically Bentley shoulder line that separates it from Rolls Royce of the same period but that that time, all Bentleys were just Rolls Royce models with a different grille.
Interesting concept. Good idea. The incline of the windshield looks weird though.
Modernize the allante please!
I thought you had it right the first time. I'd have raised the rockers to match the first iteration of the front. Look at the original Range Rover that had high rockers and a shallow front.
dude I love your cats
The Brooklands coupe was amazing. Too bad the Mulsanne didn't have a coupe version before it went out. Although they built a limited Azure version
That is actually realistic. Another “ if it was in 1969” challenge for you; JAGUAR F PACE / SVR
I think you Photoshop a Bentley bentayga into a old rolls Royce SUV from the 1990s
I think you should have used a Land Rover Classic as a base for this idea.
Bentley , Rolls-Royce and Porsche SUV really annoy me . I know that’s what the market demands but it seems disingenuous to me Porsche should make sports cars RR and Bentley should make luxury cars . Love the retro design !
Do how you would design the new wagoneer basing it off the old one or how you'd fill the gap between the bronco stopping production and starting again in 21
Series 1 land rover is a very boxy candidate for nomination + track width alteration? I think you should have designed the new defender:)
I think you should complete the ark; make a vintage Cullinan
Brilliant work
What about doing something with the Lister Storm? Maybe a 2020 version instead of the Stealth SUV that just got released
Beautiful work u do if I most say Pls what software do u use pls?
Here's an idea: a Viper from the late 60's to go with the original Challenger and 2nd Gen Charger
And the Cobra, from which it took most of its inheritance.
The Viper has been done already, but it might be cool to see his ideas for it.
That more or less exists, as the Viper was directly inspired by the Cobra.
@@matthewdentist my point exactly, Caroll Shelby, 25 years later
This is bananas. I love it!
Is that Petter in the background at the start of the video? :)
Dunno... I wonder if the redesign should have gone the "reverse Range Rover" way instead... as you said, there weren't SUV's in the 60's and 70's... so instead of making the front taller, the side could be less tall, and its base could sit higher... what do you think?
Retromod Challenge: 2020 c8 corvette
Congratulations, you created a Volkswagen Atlas with an old Bentley front end 😂. JK nice job
Please make a BMW Z4 Coupe!(no retro, just fix it and make it a coupe version). Also, Z8 coupe!
What’s your opinion on the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting brake?
It looks kinda beautiful not gonna lie 🤩🤩
Looks better then new one
Mazda rx7 redesign please
I'm still waiting a modern Lancia Delta Integrale
2:15 me describing my new game to my friend
So much better than the new one
What if bugatti made a hatchback
How would it look like ?
Or sedan
Have to say that I think that it looks a bit like a lifted 1982 Cadillac Seville. Yeah, I know that design was very much inspired by the british luxury cars.
Please try making a retro design of the Kia Stinger GT or any Genesis car
You should do more of these reverse-modernization videos.
can you re-design the citroën DS ?
Bugatti Bolide Retro look 😁
Could you do a modernization of the Acura Integra Type-R pleaseeeeee? 😬
I beg you to modernise the 76’ Cadillac Eldorado, *I BEG YOU*
Ngl, this would’ve been a hit
It would be amazing to make a Mercedes gle look like came from the w124 era.
Pd:nice Bentley
Fiat 126p or FSO Polonez 1500 redesign?
I want to see a Porsche suv from the 60s now
Can you try to modernize an old gmc cabover flat bed
Mercedes Grosser as a modern car. The S-Class nowadays is an awesome car, but it doesn’t have the presence of a grand ol’ Grosser
Looks like something Mitsuoka would make.
I can imagine Bentley making this as a classic version
The Volvo 850 T5-R was already a box when it was entering the market.
What would this vehicle look like, if it was made in the 20s or 30s?
The ml was not the first luxury suv. The Range Rover has been there for a lot longer.
This redesigne is very nise i love it and i whant to see how rolls royse calliner looks as it is made in 60s,70s,80s,
The retro desin is a lot more attractive than the modern one. It actually looks like what the British call a "shooting brake"--that is, an upscale wagon designed for taking on hunts. In fact, here is a 1980 Rolls shooting brake that closely resembles your design:
