1. Avocadoes (they suggest freezing them or consider alternative spreads) 2. Canned tomatoes 3. Olive oil (suggest looking at other oils such as avocado, grapeseed or coconut oil, although these may also be in short supply or more expensive) 4. Wheat 5. Coffee. Such a pity there were so many ads - I stopped counting after 8.
I love avocados, but at my age I can remember growing up without them, and everyone was healthy and lived just as long (or not) as we do now. We all love coffee, but maybe now people will turn more toward tea, which is exceptionally healthy for you, taken daily. Tomatoes are (lately) shown to cause joint inflammation and lead to more painful arthritis.I use butter when I sautee food, for the most part, not oil. Other vegetable oils are not recommended any more, but again, growing up we used all kinds of vegetable oil and lived to tell the tale. Coconut oil is good for you on many levels, including as a facial moisturizer, and it's great for digestion. Wheat-based cereals - begone! These are actually NOT good for you. And, as some here mentioned: grow your own veggies! And I know this is going to sound bad to some people: maybe Americans are going to eat less and lose weight (because we are the fattest country in the world). If we all stop consuming so much of these products, they might make a better come-back.Let the Earth regain some of its natural control. Please feel free to disagree.
Grow your own People! Get ready for widespread lack of resources. Get some friend’s together and plan your gardens on a Community Basis. Victory Gardens were a necessary resource during times of war. If you have land, raise chickens and rabbits. Go fishing and smoke it, then freeze. Get your hunting permit. We are going to get through this, especially if we form Community and work together.
Grow your own avocados, olives, wheat, and coffee beans? Really? 🙄 You surely realize that those only grow in a specific climate, one not found in most areas of North America. I can’t even grow tomatoes where I live! Most people don’t own land, many young people can’t even afford a home with a small yard. And how many urban dwellers can fish or hunt without traveling a considerable distance? Unrealistic.
IF there is a shortage of Tomato products it is not happening on the east coast where we have plenty. The shortage seems to be in Europe and since I can get the best tomatoes Jersey tomatoes here I have no such problem. WHile Olive OIl is indeed expensive the price of other oils is actually coming down and there is no shortage of them. I cannot eat avocados so that does not affect me. I also drink TEA not coffee. And Breakfast cereals are not a good nutritional choice to begin with but there is NO shortage of Oatmeal in this country
All other oils except vegetable oil are more expensive than olive oil already and vegetable oil is not healthy at all as a matter of fact Dr.’s and nutritionist tell you not to consume vegetable oil to use olive, coconut oil,or avocado oil because they are healthy and they are more expensive than olive oil already. There may not be shortages now but it’s coming and the price is going up week by week and with everything that is occurring it’s not stopping anytime soon. I’ve been stocking up on a lot of items that have long shelf life because the price isn’t coming down that is for sure. I hope people pay attention and stock up because things could get really bad here due to farmers not having enough farm workers and the tariffs, supply chain problems and other factors so if you can stock you should.
Olive oil loses its nutritional qualities if its extraction is not achieved by the cold pressed process. A fact many manufacture diregard or don't disclose in their labeling. Is said that some lie about it.
Have been hearing this for what maybe a year? Avocados are not needed for life, if true. Coconut oil may cause digestive problems in some people. It is all might, maybe.

@@BigMama2022 maybe some people can afford the membership I’m sure you don’t go through life complaining about something have a little grace
I would worry about the fresh produce that immigrants harvest . No immigrants no harvests
Whatever did farmers do before this country was flooded with people coming here illegally?
@@dorothybermudez8904 we had annual influx of workers from the south. I recall families coming annually to pick apples.
All stratigically planned to raise prices & cause fear with panic.
Do u really think youre not gonna be able to find coffee and canned tomatoes???? I DONT

Don’t forget to forage. Dandelions, mushrooms, berries, acorns, and nuts.

I can survive only with rice, beans, and water.

I've heard the opposite about coconut oil. Supposedly, it's one of those "miracle" oils that's good for us on several levels, including for cooking.
