Hello Emy, I have several Lamy Safari, Al-Star and LX. I'm very happy with them. This new series is not my thing. The colors of the grip area are too flashy for me and my age..😏Very good review, thank you. Greetings from Belgium.
Fair enough! Some more bold choices for colors can be for some ppl valid choices - some may see them as being too far :D the actual pen itself at its core - its brilliant - that I think we can all agree
Thank you for this delightful homage to this great pen. I love the Safari and, like many, it’s what got me into the hobby. The durability is what I love: thrown them in a bag, draw, whatever. TWSBI has tried but I have had so many issues with cracking.
Glad you enjoy it! The old Safari is good as new today :D they just simply last forever ... not too much complication, there isnt many things that can go wrong, twsbi - I heard a lot of cases in which they fail
hey there Scot :D its one to consider, its very funny but there is something special regarding its build, its different to a pen that is made in 20 30 50 100 pieces ... there is a special thing about it because it has not changed a single measurement for millions and millions of them

The "criss cross element" on the finial means it's fountain pen, if it is minus means it's gel pen. That's an ingenious indicator
Yup - bingo - correct :D that is very neat considering one can and will store this pen nib up in the pocket and that is a great feature
