@jonip.21 yes who would have thought it's truly a boring purchase but the difference is worth it as everything is easy solid and consistent. All the systems are as good as each other at my level , its with shape and aspect and volume of foils that makes the. Stand out and all the ranges have so many stand out foils . I really thought I might go Axis as well for bit there. The spitty is temping
@wildhogget69 yes everyone seems to love the spitfire especially in the waves I was impressed 👌 not tryed the 960 but I bet it will turn amazing in the wave Andy has just bought that one as well so I hope to try it soon Thanks so much for watching 👀 have a great week mate 👍
Nice! I'm happy with your conclusion! Also i think the new Veloce H is a great choice! That's what i plan to get but in much smaller size because i'm a feather weight guy 😁... I allready have a V2 Veloce HL and i love the glide... Now i plan to get a really small one for those nuking days and for bigger waves! Keep up the good job!
@AzoreanGliders yes I'll probably get a small one eventually our waves are usally small so I went for a bigger foil. Think all the systems are great and all have a great choice of front foils what a time to live 😀 👏 thanks for watching mate
All systems where great different in small ways but same in others for myself as intermediate all the systems are better than I will ever ride them . Thanks so much for watching and commenting ❤️ 😊 have a great weekend
Nice for the v3 im sure it’s gonna be a good jump, especially for breach and hydrodynamic, new veloce and fluid seem to have the most improvement. I didnt had any hm mast so i didnt get used to them yet 😂. Cool to have swapped gear yeww.
@youdigsurf thanks for watching yes I was close to going Axis as the range of foils are great and loads of locals riders but the Axis mast is silly money and I really feel a huge difference in performance to the aluminium. Gong has some great wings of offer with this new update I'd there half as good . I like the look of the Dw wing bit need to get a board first .the 7.6 xl crusader is on the list as is a 3.5m wing but that will take some time to save up
@youdigsurf yes i think you're right. All the updates will be soon there. They are already teasing with photos and videos, haha . I'm sure the new dw boards will come. And the black and blue colour way on the new boards released, so for this year looks sick as well . I'll be staying on my wing board for at least another year, tho .
BOOM! first comment :) looked like a cool spot. how deep does it get there? I'm demoing the 1190 Eagle right now and they def need a little speed to get them on foil. but the glide and speed are great. I thought you were about to jump to Axis for a sec there! lol. I wish you an awesome weekend bud!!
Yes i was so impressed by the Eagle and very tempted would love to try the 1190 bet it's a weapon, I have been looking at the Axis for a while as loads of riders in the North East UK are on the system and the spitty is a work of art and the dw foils speak for themselves. But the affordability of an HM mast and full system would be a vast expense. I am happy that the standout was how stiff my system is. I know the others were on alu, but the gong sure held its head high in the performance, so I look forward to the evolution. And the Gong down wind foil looks sweet. Anyway, Grant's new sk8 arived today, so I'm stealing that very soon . Thanks for the first comment and ongoing support and sharing your full stoke bud have a great windy weekend
@@christomo ohhhh new SK8?? Fun! I have an 1150 right now and 2 sessions in, I love it. Sooo smooth. And I got that thing going FAST yesterday. And you know what they say… once you do HM carbon fiber, you never go back! Not actually sure if people say that. You can quote me on it 😜👊👊
I did not realise how spoiled I was , I can tell you it's probably more so for a bigger guy as I can put a lot of force into it . No one wants a floppy one for sure .
Great review😊. Not surprised at all that you decided to stay put. I’d never ever go back to aluminum masts after riding HM carbon. When you factor in the cost of an equivalent Axis or F-One (or most of the other of the leading brands) the numbers just can’t compete with Gong. Especially here in the US where we only pay shipping in lieu of Vat tax. What did you get for a stabilizer to go with your new front wing? I’m using the freestyle stabilizers with my V2 Veloce’s and I like them better due to the shorter fuselage length I’ll be anxious to know what you think of the V3 Veloce XL H. That will likely be my first choice as well (in L size since I’m 75 kg). I’ll also commit to the V3 fuselage (hm 85 at 14 cm). Not sure which stab I’ll go for but likely the Veloce stab. It adds up but it’s my one big retirement hobby so im not feeling too guilty😂. Also think the V2 85 HM mast and V2 Veloce’s will sell pretty easy (at the right price)
@targadave yes Dave I looked at a few options ,I purchased the v3 veloce in Xl and stab veloce v3 in large and the titanium fuselage for v2 mast to fit it all together with my v2 86HM . This was still a cheaper price for the full plaine than most brands' front wings alone .The gong wings are so much stiffer as well .Some of the foils from Leading brands fly so nice but such a high price for a different feeling that I wouldn't say was better or worse just different and so many options to choose in all brands something for us all. IM TOLD that The overall length of the gong v3 is shorter than the v2 with freestyle stab, so I was informed to go with veloce stab. I went for large to keep loose and hope I have ordered correctly. More to follow first look on arrival and first few flights and in-depth review after a months riding. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have an amazing weekend
Hi Cris, cool comparison! Maybe I missed it but I think your CurveH XL will launch easier than the skinnier ones of the competitors. Did you measure top speed of the three foils? Great to hear that you could not resist the Veloce V3 XL :-) I would love to hear how it compares to your Ypra V2 XL in september. They are about the same size. Grtz Matt
@watercrazylion yes I will update on the 2 foils in September . I did not measure the top speeds, but the Eagle felt fastest then the spitfire and curve h last as you would expect . And my curve low end massively better as was the glide for me at my weight 🙃. Thanks for watching
Great insight into the different kit Chris, carbon mast appears to be the decider for you… look forward to the next video 🏄♂️👍

It's a crazy sport and will certainly eat away at your bank balance. Will have to come down from Scotland and try some of your North East waves.
@jonathanalstead always welcome 🙏
I haven't got a bank balance anymore.
Have a great week tha ks for watching and commenting
Just gone from the AXIS HPS 1050 to the SPITFIRE 960, wow what a difference on glide, turn and speed, I love it
