Thanks dude. I thought long and hard about it - never really spend so much money on hobbies but this one has got me hooked and im only getting older so screw retirement I'll do it now while everything still works 😇🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@EASTCOASTGONGWINGFOILING-sr6kh why not I have been foiling 3 years and spent a small fortune everything changing so quick can't keep up fancy the down wind thing but will take me a few years to save for the kit haha . Enjoy my friend, take care 🙂
It's mad 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄👌 You can get wider wings than this but this was as big as I wanted to go I think 2024 will see quite a few people getting onto these boards 👍
I only had a quick try with the super power soft handles ,but i just got the boom version ( heavily reduced price at the moment ) such a difference feels a way lighter and easier to handle
Very nice. Considering a Hipe Cruzader too. 85 kgs, hesitating between the 7.00 or the 7.6…😊 they are even in width. I can foil a 117 liter hardboard with 12 knots and a 1750cm foil, 6m wing.
Think it depends what you want to use it for - for just light wind foiling, you should be ok. If you want to do true down winding or paddle up , then all the youtube vids of people who actually do that say get a board between 7 to 8ft long. Good luck if you go for it 🤞👍☺️
Hey Hans I am the same weight as you and really enjoy foiling my 7'6" plus it gives me a better chance at SUP downwinding it when the season starts again here.
Hello, I also own a 7.5 superpower and enjoy it. Could you tell me how much PSI you put in it please, because I'm afraid to explode it by overinflating since Gong does not provide pressure information. Thanks.
With the gong pump I go up to 6psi. I then do a push test on the front spar with the wing on the ground upside down If there are any big creases when I push down I will put in some more air but I keep checking until the creases are nearly gone So far that works for me on all the wings I have 👍
I love the look of the KT boards and those longer ones seem perfect for the ocean. I think yours is 22" wide. The Gong is 22.5" wide so not much in it. These downwind boards with the narrower width take a little while to adjust to - dont give up keep practicing you will get there👍😀
No. I did at first - just kept falling off but i soon adjusted to get the right balance. I do cheat sometimes (i do it a bit in this video) - i put the tip of the wing onto the water an use it a bit like an extra arm and that helps - just saves energy when the wind reallly drops to nothing 😁
I tried the curve 5xl H (165 cm) but it was very hard to control and seems sensitive. Most perturbing was the very low speed foiling. Maybe need more tries to figure it out
yes these wider wings seem quite sensitive and also i think i was foiling very close to its stall speed - these conditions were really borderline for me - i think if its average 10 knots then id be quite happy with that. Agreed its just more time needed on this foil to work out what it can and cant do and get more comfortable with it. Im just amazed how well it did I was told the larger curve H are able to turn better than the sirus but i dont really need to carve about, so the sirus is enough for me. Id like to try a larger curve H one day but that will have to wait for a while lol
Hi it's a good wing for me but I am 110kg and 6ft 2" tall so it's not too big for me. In very light winds it does get heavy on arms and shoulders after 30 mins But in good winds it's no problem
Hi - I only managed about 3 short runs on Sunday as the wind was so light I need a day with more wind to really try it out but from the rides up on foil I had I think it felt quite sensitive to my inputs - I just need to get used to it more When up on foil though it felt crazy to be flying at such low speed 👍☺️
Wow, nice you get this is on foil with 110kgs with this light wind.
It's pretty amazing ! It felt really strange but cool at the same time ☺️👍😁🥳
Very nice set up im so jealous af . Looked sweet Thanks for sharing 👍 😊

@@christomo keep an eye on eBay and marketplace I think you'll find downwind boards popping up for sale
There's a few knocking around already 👍
Very impressive that you could get it on foil in that light of wind.
Thanks - I'm amazed considering I'm 110kg 😁
love you chanel and your videos
Thasnks!!
That's a crazy wide front wing you've got there... Looking good mate. Definitely interested in a DW board this year

yes the booms work really well 😀
Thank you for posting..where can you purchase this Gong Crusader in the US?
you have to buy direct from Gong in France www.gong-galaxy.com/en/
Thanks very much for the link.

@@EASTCOASTGONGWINGFOILING-sr6kh OK thank you, that's a lot compared to me, maybe I am too careful !
I'm a little surprised because of the HM85 mast, while for such a big wing Gong recommend the wider HM86 mast. No problem of control/twist ?
So far so good but I'm still learning - but seems ok 🤞
I tried my KT Dragon 8'4" a few days ago .... VERY hard to balance...Gong has a much flatter bottom, so maybe it is easier.

Buen vídeo! Me da esperanzas ya que peso 110k. Un saludo 🫡
Do you have much trouble standing/balancing on the Crusader with little wind or forward board speed?
No. I did at first - just kept falling off but i soon adjusted to get the right balance. I do cheat sometimes (i do it a bit in this video) - i put the tip of the wing onto the water an use it a bit like an extra arm and that helps - just saves energy when the wind reallly drops to nothing 😁

Hi, I want to know how do you like that 7.5 super power?
Is it hard to handle? Is it horribly big?
Thanks

In very light winds it does get heavy on arms and shoulders after 30 mins

How do you find the 156 Sirus in turns?

How god is the inflatable vs the rigid version?
hi i havent tried the rigid but i absolutely love the inflatable 👌
@@EASTCOASTGONGWINGFOILING-sr6kh I am looking for an all round board and thinking about mint 5,8 or 5,10. Can you advise me on that?
@@kenholmdal I don't know about those boards sorry
The trend is heading towards narrower boards which are much easier to take off
