I also appreciate these videos on small powerful PCs! I currently game on a laptop with an RTX 2070, so I know it still has viability, but it's good to know I can get a small pc for gaming in my apartment. Getting one of these with a monitor as the future laptop replacement sounds like a viable option (hopefully way down the road from now). I like being able to take my laptop from room to room, so I imagine I can come up with/build a rig to do the same with a mini pc & monitor. I hope you continue to cover these mini powerhouses!

Cant find this model with 3070. Only 3050 and 3050 Ti. It starts at 600usd for i7 and 3050, barebone. Also, these are probably mobile versions of the chips, so much lower power than standard desktop version.
It doesn't really matter, the power of the fans as compared to the power of convection is just so much greater. And going top to bottom helps in keeping the rest of the components (RAM and SSD) cool.
Why can't they offer those with HDMI 2.1? It would be great for a living room gaming system, but TVs needs 2.1 for VRR, even if you will never run anything in 4k 120fps you can still make good use of the extra hz in lower resolutions and the VRR in any circumstance
Impressive that this tiny machine is pretty much keeping up with my 12700f, RTX 3060 12GB rig. The footprint on my desktop is so much larger than this machine's that any space concerns, or someone wanting a much lower power usage, would make this little machine a no brainer. Your average gaming wattage is lower than just my 3060's power draw.
Im ok with my GTX 1650 Laptop (16GB RAM DDR4 3200 /512GB Gen3 SSD/2TB HDD) and my Steam deck with (300GB)....But it is always fun to watch you testing new Systems....
Drawing air from the top means cool air is passing over the more frugal components such as the SSD cooling them slightly before hitting the GPU and CPU. Going bottom to top would mean hot air from the CPU and GPU would pass those components, risking overheating. And in regard to convection, as a force it's so much weaker than a fan it's really insignificant.

This product is almost 100% the same machine as the Minisforum Nucxi7. But the value proposition for this is less than the nucx was last year. Unless this is significantly cheaper, it’s not even worth ETA Prime’s coverage and attention.

I wonder why a system like this, which is capable of 60+ 4K video on some less demanding titles, is hampered by an HDMI 2.0 port setup? Would have been a near perfect box if it just had a couple of 2.1 ports. Or is the USB C port capable of 4K 120Hz out to HDMI?
@@antonioaguiarfilho Actually not true. There are plenty of 3XXX series notebook that has HDMI 2.1 full spec. But some companies just don't implement it because it requires pricier parts.

GPU seems to be limited to 125W. Highly likely GPU boost is disabled as cards of this variant can go up to 140W max with boost. Clock speed is also maxed out at 1770Mhz.

It never is, USB C on PC can only do DisplayPort, and even if you use a converter it will have a lot of compatibility issues.
Thank Nvidia. They only offer HDMI 2.1 on the 40xx series. As long as these builds are based on 30xx and older series, there is no HDMI 2.1.
