- in todays video we check out the Independent stage four skateboard trucks!
A truck that originally released in 1986 and is back with a vengeance! Skateboarders around the world want to know how well they turn? Can they grind forever? Can a design that's over three decades old hold up?
We test to find out these questions and more!

Thank you! I can’t help it I love a big deck. Lol
Cool skateboarding style!! These trucks are now on my wishlist! Thanks for the review man!
Thank you! I hope you like them!
Nice video. I was going to ask if you were in Chicago, but, I see green plants. So, you must be somewhere warmer. Spring isn't quite here yet.
No this park is in Kenessaw, Georgia. I just ordered the trucks from uprise because it was one of the only shops that had them at the time!
Awesome trucks! It takes me back to the 80's.
Definitely a blast from the past!
Automatic thumbs up for the intro alone 🤣
🙏
BDE that is VIP. Still not able to get these at my local. Thanks for the enjoyable and helpful vid. Great to see the Creature Birch deck getting some use. Don’t see that often.
Lol I was just lucky! I ordered them the minute I heard about them but I’m happy I did! Gotta spend more time with them but so far I think they might be my favorite truck.
Dude, you look like a videogame character when you are skating and I say this on the best possible way!
Thank you! Now if only I could heal like a video game character!
these in the park are HEAT....hard for me to lock into grinds with the 146's and 56mm wheels than i was used to with my 159 indys in transition smiths/feebles. But ill get used to them the turns and ability to carve/turn away from other ppl at the park on a dime is a breath of fresh air...while still having that indy pop. Definitely need to oil/wax the pivot cup they squeak like a MUG more than my 5 year old conical bushings on my stage X 159s.
I was definitely having an issue on crooked grinds but I just started pinching the grinds a little more. These definitely feel like a game changer so far!
Where's the full review man? Still skating them? There's freaking sweet trucks huh
I’m working on it! 😂
i want to try these. i have a set of og stage 5 or 6 indy 149s i had to drill the new hole pattern on the baseplates, also swapped kingpins for grindking kingpins
They’re pretty fun! They updated the baseplate with the extra holes on these so they should fit any setup.
howd you like em compared to the slappys
I’ve only been skating the slappys for a couple of weeks now and the same for the Indy’s. Right now I prefer the Indy’s but definitely need more time on both to make a decision.
Good for bowls and slappys for sure
Definitely I’ll be checking them out on my favorite curb here soon. I’m hoping I can figure out the slappy crook on them!
@@bigdeckenergy8119 nice 👍 yea I think they are better than aces when it comes to turning
@@DustinKeiser definitely
Okay so I'm riding 149 indies right on an 8.75 and I'm planning on getting ace hollows for 8.75 I'm wondering if these would be a better choice ?
If you can wait I will be doing a review for the Indy’s and comparing them to the aces. At this point I haven’t spent enough time with them to say if one is better than the other. But both are great trucks at this point. I don’t think you could go wrong with either.
Kinda wanna do a 775, stage 4s, and some 49mm boardy cakes
Do it!!! Let me know how you like the sage 4’s!
Dexter Morgan skates?
🤫🔪
Ace still turns the best
Thems fighting words. I gotta spend more time with the Indy’s but so far they feel pretty damn good
I wish the stage 4 trucks turned better … if you are a tight truck guy go off it .. on the last thread they barely turn .. the grinds are sticky
I keep it loose and haven’t had any problems! You might have to try the different bushings they have for them
I agree! Aces had me fooled for a long time, the pivot cups on my aces kept cracking so bad. Plus they wore down super fast. I love my stage 4s, the turn was the complete best. Plus it wasn’t extremely loose right out of the box. I’ll never switch from Indy’s ever again, switching was a huge mistake. Plus Indy’s have way more options for trucks and bushings. 🔩
I still like aces a lot but so far the stage 4 is winning me over. The feeling I get riding the Indy’s at the moment just can’t be beat.
I havent skated in years but when i did i loved Indy trucks the best!
@@mikehunt4797 I have pretty much skated indy for almost two decades. I have tried a lot of other trucks and liked them but I always end up going back to indy.
@@bigdeckenergy8119 Yes i agree i tried other trucks like Thunders and Krux and Kingpin. The Thunders where pretty good but the Indy's out did em all. If i ever buy another complete I'm gonna get me some Indy's!
@@mikehunt4797 no peer pressure but buy another complete and go skate! No peer pressure though
