I don't know why but there seems to be kind of an old school, lo-fi kind of vibe in the sound that makes the combination really pleasant to listen to
That’s cause it’s mimicking tape.
Nicely done. One of the things I love about the RV-6 is that no matter what pedal, brand, etc it always matches up perfectly. Not always the case with some pedals. The RE-2 is another perfect match.

I use a RV6 with the TCE Infinite and a DD8 and they work well together for ambient pads. This video has convinced me to look into the RE2 as well - love the effect he has demonstrated so well!

I thought the cool keyboard sounds were a background track or background music. Are you guys saying that the Space Echo pedal is creating the synth sound?
I just bought the Space Echo and I’m debating taking it back. I really wanted the Boss Waza Craft Delay pedal but they were out so they suggested the Echo.
After seeing this demonstration I’m keeping it. It really helped me understand what this pedal can actually do.

Perry, I've had no intention of purchasing the RE-2 or the RE-202. But, you've done such a good job of demoing the RE-2 in combination with the RV-6, that I'm now considering buying either the RE-2 or more likely the RE-202. I'm glad I found this video. More power to you, great ambient playing. :)

Sounds really nice. Have you considered an expression pedal since both pedals can be operated like so. Got the RE-20 (dual pedal) with an EV-30 & BlueSky reverb (no exp. pedal possible). The fact the RV-6 has exp input may make me decide to sell the BlueSky and go for a RV-6. Both fantastic reverb pedals.

Man! I became obsessive searching for all the novelty space ambient pedals last year, sold my stuff as I had to travel
I had an Rv6 before which was amazing but the next time to settle and purchase pedals again , this new space echo combined seems to create all those space ambient pedal sounds I wished for
It's a lovely pedal, very useful not for ambient, more for postrock and psychedelic music.
The music you play sounds like it could be in game soundtracks like the Last of us
For 8,9 and 10 is the led green because you doubled the delay time on the RE-2?
The led green means that I'm using the tap tempo
How do you deal with the high intensity settings? I just find they become really over powering.

@@PerryFrank Thanks. I avoid using my volume knob because it's located away from my strings. The Boss DD-500 has a Slow Attack which works really well, and I've relied on that a lot.
Boss makes No1. sound in the universe.

@@alexz2643 if you want to increase the stereo effect you must add the reverb knob, the echo only has not so stereo feeling

Once again, the Boss gear punches well above its weight. You could easily spend 3x the price to get the same sounds, and they might not even be any better than Boss/Roland.

Nice idea. But RV500 is better.
I used to have an RV-500 and the RV-6, but for whatever reason, I always thought the "modulation" sound better on the RV-6
Personally I like them both. Lovely sounds with them.

RV500 is very expensive, I think it should necessarily sound better.
I've never tried it but I see it costs three times as much.

@@PerryFrank the jc 22 you should being used with an orange crush. The crush isn't needed kiddo. A second amp is NOT needed.
