- Jawbreakers, also known as gobstoppers, are a popular candy that originated in the United Kingdom. While the size of the candy ball varies, jawbreakers often have multiple layers of color and sugar. It can take about four days to make a jawbreaker.

Most gum contains a synthetic rubber of some kind. It's why you're not supposed to swallow chewing gum. It won't kill you, because your body won't really process the rubber. But it's not good for you, either.

That's why you aren't supposed to swallow gum. It'll sit in your stomach for a week and be excreted in your stool, it doesn't break down so it's not digested.

It's food grade, the FDA is not going to let a company put literal rubber in their food. I would be more concerned by the fact that is made almost entirely of sugar. Like 99% of all processed food It is unhealthy but its not dangerous.
