My dear Tamsin, Each listening to your interpretations is a moment of pure pleasure for me who loves the work of the great Turlough O' Carolan so much. Your arrangement is magic, and allowed me a beautiful journey in music. Thank you for this beautiful artistic gift, and wishing you a very nice weekend. Musically, Phil
Ahhhh so beautiful!!! And on the Ravenna 26, it sounds perfect!! I have one & love it!! Get compliments all the time on how much that little harp can project!!
Ahhh yes you can! I love arranging for 26 strings - you have to be just a little bit more careful to make sure things sound balanced, but it's really worth it to have a piece you can play with a more easily transportable harp...!
Hello! The range of this arrangement goes from C below middle C (C3) to 3 Ds above middle C (D6), so it may need some tweaking to work, I'm afraid - that being said, with double strings your hands can overlap much more so you could probably do a bit of re-arranging if you're willing to!
Hello! You know, I'm afraid I have no idea as it's not an instrument I play! If you look at the sheet music page on my website there is always a preview to each piece so you can see what it looks like - perhaps this might help? You should also be able to see the range of each piece so you'll know if you have enough notes. I hope this helps! I'd love to hear them on a hammered dulcimer, it's a beautiful instrument, so do feel free to share if you manage it! 🤩
@@TamsinDearnley Thank you very much. The preview is helpful. I just downloaded the sheetmusic. I am curious to find out how it will sound on my (rather big) dulcimer!
Hello! Oh, I do apologise - thank you so much for mentioning this! I thought I had updated all my links when I migrated the shop, but this one I seem to have missed. I've updated it now, but here it is as well: tamsindearnley.co.uk/sheetmusic/?id=carolans-cottage I hope you enjoy it!
Your playing is so expressive and impeccable, an absolute delight! 🥰
You're too kind to say so, but thank you so much, it means a lot to hear - especially coming from you! 🥰🎶✨
This is incredibly beautiful 😍
Grand merci, Heather - thanks so much for watching! 🤩
Beautiful. 💖🌹
Thank you! 😊

Exquisite and ethereal. (I play my arrangement on guitar at slower minuet pace and the pitch is much lower.) Please record a whole CD of O'Carolan.
Thank you so much! And it's on my list, but I'm not sure when I'll get round to it...! ;)
Ti amo ❤
I love the music from the Celtic Nations. That's the lands of my ancestors. I am a Wallace.
It's a lovely tune, isn't it! Thank you for watching :)
So beautiful ❤. Is the Ravenna a big harp. I’m planning to get it.
Beautiful! Could this be modified to play on a 22/44 double strung harp? Thank you!🎶🙂

Very beautiful! Are your arrangements (your sheets music) also suitable to be played on a 17/17 hammered dulcimer?

I would love to purchase your arrangement, but the link listed above doesn't work. :(

Est-ce que sur votre partition (celle qui est en vente) vous indiquez quel doigt doit faire quelle note ? Merci 🙂
Bonjour, merci de votre message! Je regrette, mais je n'ai pas indiqué le doigté sur cette partition - désolée!
@@TamsinDearnley Ok, merci 🙂
Which DS harp-model is this?
This is a Ravenna 26 😊
