Many times i had troubles with balance. But honestly (i found it myself) what you say about gripping the floor with your feet and not to bend the knees overly. You wanna keep a firm body (i wouldn’t say stiff cus you also wanna be loose and relaxed, so firm is my word) and your arms you wanna keep them loose and shoulders relaxed snd dropped. For weight you can toss it around by subtle movements. I used to think i had to exaggerate my body to get the weight transfer right. I realized everything is a jerky quick abrupt movement. Like a jolt. You wanna be firm but loose and whip out and then stiffen up last second before contact as a means of bracing for impact. Then immediately as the contact is made pull that bitch back and loosely so you return quick. Its all meticulous muscle control. The ability to move thru space. Kinesiology. Its what i studied in school a bit and boxing takes it to the highest of degrees. To move so little so quickly and suddenly takes a lot of ability.

When throwing a right cross, you generally want to start with a balanced stance and then shift your weight as you execute the punch. Here's a breakdown of the weight distribution during a right cross:
    1. **Starting Position:** Your weight should be fairly balanced between both feet, with a slight bias towards the back leg, around 55-60%.
    2. **During the Punch:** As you throw the right cross, you pivot your back foot and rotate your hips and shoulders. This action shifts some of your weight forward, transferring more force into the punch. At this point, the weight distribution might shift to be more even or slightly favor the front foot.
    3. **Follow-through and Recovery:** After the punch is thrown, you quickly recover to your initial stance, redistributing your weight back to the starting position, with a slight bias towards the back leg.
Maintaining dynamic balance and weight transfer is key to generating power while maintaining stability. Keeping 60% of your weight on the back leg throughout the entire motion would likely reduce the power of your punch and hinder your ability to follow through effectively.!!!

Exactly, hundreds of punches it takes to start feeling the flow of motions. What I like your using gravity to relax hand and usingtorso rotation as a vehicle to good techniques, just I don´t like the "damage" to be inflicted. as it is not about killing or disabling but playing a kinghtś play. Overhand pucnches typical fo M. Ali being a taller fighter. Sgorter kcould make use of the same below the lead hand. Other variations I would not teach as somehow diesregard some of the previous, more important principles and can poise learning a good technique. Many thanks. 69.
