You are awesome thanks for the motivation i have literally the exact same project i will be starting this month and will be following your videos almost step by step!
I watched all the flooring restoration and you have done an excellent job and the videos are well executed and to the point. I just bought a 1999 Capri with a Mercury outboard and I notice that some areas of the floor have some soft spots....Not sure if I have the time and knowledge to do what you did, but I have an understanding of the size of the job....Well done, Thank you for taking the time to document that awesome project.
I build boats for a living, and your doing great my friend. And when your all on the water, the feeling will be much better than on a friend's boat or a rental.
I am amazed with the patience you have!! What an awesome transformation!! Nice job! Hopefully one of the next videos will be of you and your family enjoying the boat again!! 😀
I had done a lot of looking into just what the heck to do for my Next Sail boatas due to being disabled I just can't manage beautiful Teak decking Any longer, and normal non slip is very bad news for the feet and knees. So was toying with the idea of Synthetic Teak to keep the looks, but this product is now going on the side Decks, Cabin Roof, the Cockpit floor and the Bathing Platform. Synthetic Teak only on the Cockpit Benches and helm Seats. Looking at your video, it looks like I made the right decision. Thanks for that, and best wishes. Bob. 🏴👍
You were beaming like a proud Papa! That really looks great. You were all about the old westerns today.....True Grit and Rawhide (🎶 rollin', rollin', rollin' 🎶) Haha!
Having a bayliner project of my own I couldn’t help but get hooked on your restoration videos. Great work! My 15 year old boat still has a solid floor, but I’ve done a carburetor rebuild, ordered a new fuel pump and just recently discovered water in the 3.0’s oil. Kind of wish I had to do a floor instead.
I comment every time you make a new boat video, I’ll say it again love this series! I admire your work ethic and commitment Kurt. I really can’t wait to see you go out for stripes tog fluke and other amazing salt water fish.
I’ll be going through this whole process in my 94 Rinker open bow next spring, I’m so nervous but I know I can do it, thanks for sharing this awesome work!
I am one that has been there from the beginning and I think you’ve done a hell of a good job. It looks great. I can hardly wait till you can take it out to the water. Looking forward to those “snake fish” catching days. Love all your fishing videos.
Nice job Kurt, That color is nice and should stay fairly cool in the sun. I doesn't take much additional darkness in shade for the surface to get much warmer. I spent many years working in a boat shop down in Florida, some of the boats we worked on had gray floor paint and it was almost too hot to sit on when working on the boat. Lighter shades will serve you well. Thanks for this and your Hoover Boys channel, I enjoy them both. John
I hope you will show a before and after photos at the end. The comparison will be awesome. I enjoy watching all your vids on all your channels. I use your fishing vids as my get away fishing since atm I can't fish.
"If you're going to do something, then might as well do it right". How apropos. Very last restoration step should be hand painting a name on the front bow. Port and Starboard. I vote for "S.S. Hoover" And of course a christening ceremony on video. Haha.
Great Job Kurt!! You make hard work look so easy! No i don't wish i had kept my old rotten boat and redone it as i did get some great use out of my 3.0 Merc motor. but i really love watching the snake head videos the most cant wait for the next batch of those. God Bless Bud.
Can you report how it's holding up? Does it stain easily? How hard is it to clean? I have used Kiwigrip in the past and you can't keep it clean. I would sure love for your report since you have had it on a while. Thanks.
I’m going to use the floatation foam pretty quick. Did you only use those two gallons or did you have more. I have the same volume to fill and I’m hoping I only have to buy the 2 gallons
Wicked restoration. Did you remove the floor in the cuddy as well? It kind of looks like your tools you're storing are sitting lower than the floor that I have in my cuddy. I've found soft floor in the cuddy as well as at the base of the dash step. Looking forward to doing something similar. As well as getting rid of the box seats!
My best friend was just given the exact boat you are restoring! Would you be willing to create an ordered playlist of your restoration videos? We’d really like to do the same thing!
hey kurt i have to say john stevens and james ps says it the best .........finish it and you and bobby buttons get some snake heads..lol the boat is to big peace bro and be safe
Just a suggestion, if you don't keep stirring the paint in the can, the grit will settle to the bottom and you'll have an uneven distribution of the abrasive on the deck. My wife made this mistake when she painted a room of the house with an abrasive additive in the wall paint
I respect that you still have your basement not finished. When something goes wrong you can get to it....Done
Haha! Yeah that project has been on hold
Can we get a video of the project completed and tell us how much product you used for the project. Looks great so far cant wait to do one myself.
You are awesome thanks for the motivation i have literally the exact same project i will be starting this month and will be following your videos almost step by step!

Do you have any updates on this project? I'm doing something similar and this has been a great series to follow!
Can you report how it's holding up? Does it stain easily? How hard is it to clean? I have used Kiwigrip in the past and you can't keep it clean. I would sure love for your report since you have had it on a while. Thanks.
Awesome work, it looks great!
Haha! Thank you. Wasn't expecting to see a comment from you guys. Love the products

how is it holding up after a year? plenty of grip when wet?
Is it glossy or satin? Redoing my 1989 Mako 191 soon...
I used this and love it

Yes Sir!
Chief, your neighbor is a lawn bonsai' artist! ;-)

@@MentalHealthDay82 *snork*
@@MentalHealthDay82 watching ur video a few months after the job. How’s it holding up?
Love it
Thanks!
Does this primer stick to aluminum so that I can do something like this in my boat? I hate that carpet I have in mine
Hmmm. Maybe this is what we should use on our deck steps. Looks awesome, unlike 🐈💩
Absolutely
Getting closer to wetting a line

So this is the last video on the bayliner??
What kind of acetone did you use?
I forget offhand. It's linked in the description
What kind of roller did you use?
Homemade Pizza Video Next Pls 🙂
Haha!
I want pizza! Do you deliver? Looking good!
Haha! Nope
so, step by step/prep is important... so you sanded first, then wiped with what? then you mentioned priming... with what? then the no skid?
When’s the next video? We appreciate you.
Where is the next video? Did you abandon this project?
I now start my day by stomping in a cat litter box… I dont even own a cat… 🤔
cuts it every day tho haha? maybe he gets high off that fresh cut smell
Kurt if you don't want to step in cat poop get rid of the cats, they are bad.
Hahaha
FU
