Thank you Miss Carrie, I haven't tried changing very many Cricut files, to much of the unknown and not investing enough time I guess. I ready appreciate you tutorials 😘

Thank you, Ali. I hope this one inspires you to dust off your Cricut machine and give it a try.

You are funny! Honestly, it was after much trial and error that I figured this out.

You are very welcome. I know exactly what you mean. My borders were always wonky and I needed to figure out a way to fit it. Once I did, I had to share.

Your tutorial is awesome. Just what I was looking for. I'm a little confused though why you sliced when you already had a 12" border designed. Can you help me understand?

I'm glad this helped. Unfortunately, Cricut cannot cut anything wider than 11.5" horizontally. If you have a 24" mat, you could turn it vertically and cut out the 12" border, but most crafters only have the standard size mat.

One more option would be to place your design & paper diagonally enough to get the full 12” & then attach so it stays there.

I love your Cricut tutorials. So smart and I learn something every time. Good idea on creating that extra piece before you weld because I have made that mistake one to many times 😂. And great idea for the true 12” border!

Thank you! That extra piece is so important. I have also duplicated a text for the same reason.

This video was so helpful! I am working with a Cricut Joy and went through all the steps but when I went to Make It, the border showed up on the 'mat' indented in - 1 inch from the top and 1 inch from the left and I couldn't move it! So strange. Any suggestions? Also, I chose a border that was not solid, and when I went to meld the duplicated pieces together, it added some more lines to the area that was overlapped and no longer looked like one piece. Did this happen when you did the border that we can see on your page?

It can take some experimenting. When I made this video, the Cricut Joy wasn't on the market. I don't know if it would work with the Joy.
