I was able to watch the first little bit of it. I have the grandbabies. They are taking swimmers lessons I am going to use the overlay for that, just change the word to swimming lessons. I will finish watching the video tonight. Thank you Linda

My machine won't allow me the option to score or splice.
I am so grateful you made this video. I have owned a Cricut for well over a year and don't know how to do much of anything with it. I would specifically like to see videos on "welding" and a slower version of some of the techniques you used in this video (I.e. Merging, attaching things together, duplicating items, making multiple layers, etc.). Perhaps there is another place you can direct me to where I can learn how to use the Cricut functions? Any help you can give me will be appreciated.
Melody: The first link you listed says "video not found".
Melody when I go to print my Cricut will not cut anything bigger then 11.45 If I want it to be a 12 x 12 how do I "trick" my machine into not cutting outside frame and leaving it 12x12? Any chance you could do a video showing how? Pretty please.
Do I have to separate the layers in design space before cutting or does the machine know?

Do you have a tutorial on how to do a 12x12 overlay ON THE IPAD APP of design space. Because on there you can not access the background piece. I keep trying to figure it out with no success, please, please help me! Lol. Fingers crossed!

Melody is there any way to do this without using the canvas? I have questioned Cricut about when the canvas feature will be returning but they have no answer. I have never used the canvas and after seeing this video was excited to try and then found out no canvas. 😕

Hello! I am kind of late to the party. my mom had an old cricut expressions in her basement that she has never used and I dusted it off to make some projects. if I use plastic, Can I use this same tutorial to make reusable stencils for my bullet journals?

I'm having a lot of issues trying to get the "alignments" to work. I'm trying to work with less, yet larger squares, and when I attempt to highlight what I want aligned, it's overlapping them.
Melody Lane what's a DS3? Not sure what you're referring to. Also, how did this go from all squares to when you cut it now there's rectangles?
