You can’t beat the look of a post bound album. That’s how I started but then fell into D ring, I’ve never been as happy w them despite their convenience. The post bound are so much easier to look through too.
The Cuddle Weather layout was cuteness overload. Loved the Getaway layout and all of the baby photos. Such a special time in your life to scrapbook. That's when I started, too: 30 years ago when my son was born.
Haha Cuddle Weather was one of my favourites too! I’ve scrapbooked for many years before having a baby but I have to say I REALLY love scrapbooking my daughter. So many wonderful memories preserved!
Thank you so much for showing how the post bound albums work. I’ve been using D ring albums but am not happy with the way a double page spread ends up looking. You’ve taken the mystery ( and the fear😂) out of these lovely albums and I think I will gradually swap over to them. Your pages, by the way, are lovely!
I’m so glad it was helpful. I love the finished look of the post bound albums and I feel like my pages are more secure in them. I’m in the process of swapping out some of the crazy patterned albums I have for a single colour and I think I’ll probably replace the few d ring albums when I do that.
I have had that background stamp in my collection for over a decade and I love it! It’s from a brand called Flourishes and the design is Antique Map. Not sure if it can be found anywhere at this point.
Thanks for the post-album demo, Chelsey... I've been wanting to see one for a long time. I've used (still do) Creative Memories albums... so I was interested to see how they compare.
I’m curious about your 12x12 paper storage behind you in the CTMH paper trays. I see you have several and that they are in rainbow order. Is that how you store all of your cardstock? Tell me more!
Yes that is my cardstock. I have divider sheets between each colour to separate them. I’ll be doing a room tour this month so I’ll show it in more detail during that video.
I would say they are pretty similar except that the post bound has the ability to have the longer posts added which allows for an extra 10-15 page protectors. I usually fit between 20-30 page protectors into an album. This does vary depending on how much dimension I have, flip flaps and pocket plus inserts. I do find with the D ring albums if you over fill them which I tend to do, the bottom right corner starts to curl as they sit on the shelf. Hope that helps!
@@kimberlyfoulkrod2229 you can find them on my website here: chelsey.closetomyheart.ca/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9343&ci=15616 I linked the 4x6 but there is a whole range of sizes.
I just bought a printer for home. I got the Epson Eco Tank 8500 and so far I’m loving it so far! Before this I usually printed at London Drugs (a Canadian drugstore) that has amazing photo quality but is pretty expensive.
@@riannevdmeer I have been editing the photos a bit. They come out naturally a little overexposed so I increase the shadows and up the saturation. Then I find them perfect to my liking. I think the model I have has an extra ink colour. I believe the more inks you have the better the print. Paper also matters. I found my favourite pearl finish paper from a local camera shop, so maybe try switching up your paper too and see if you like the prints better.
@@riannevdmeer I do really like the quality of the 8500. It's my first at home printer, so I'm only really comparing it to the professionally printed photos.
Such great layouts! I really enjoyed seeing them! I love your clusters too 😊
Thank you your scrapbook is amazing. The photo of your daughter sitting in the Christmas teacup is too cute. Wonderful memories of your family.
Thank you 😊 I love looking back through my finished albums and so does my daughter. It reminds me of why we do what we do!

I think I will always love post bound albums. They can be a pain to set up but I really enjoy the finished look!
Beautiful layouts. I adore Harvesting Memories. A very clever idea.
Thank you for showing how to insert pages in the album. 😀
You're very welcome!

Where did you get the globe stamp that you used in the background of the blue paper on the beautiful moments layout? Thanks!

Thanks 😊 it’s nice to start getting some albums filled. I need to do 2021 very soon too.

You’re very welcome. My first album was the strap design and then I have a mix of post and D ring but the post bound ones are still my favourite!

Hi Chelsea how many approx pages would you fit in a post bound versus dring ?
