I test drove 2 cars at that dealership when I was stationed in Okinawa almost 10 years ago, ended up buying a Chaser from a dealership a little farther down the 58 from where you are. I miss my time living in Japan, I wish soo badly that I could go back & stay there it was such a relaxing stress free lifestyle there even when typhoons hit the island, the power never even went out...

Hey Jason, the bodykit on the Soarer is actually factory and not aftermarket. It's the facelift kit, came on Soarer from 1997 and upwards, the biggest giveaway is the extra airvent on the front bumper, just below the Soarer badge, although there may be an aftermarket lip on the front bumper. If you are looking for a cool Soarer to review or feature, look out for the V8 1UZ GT-Limited models. I've one, and the kit they had for a 1992 car is nuts. Factory TEMS air ride suspension, touch screen dash, sat nav, TV, supersonic mirrors that vibrate to knock of snow and water droplets, then they heat up to dry the mirror off, retractable parking pole, air purifyer system, heated memory seats, auto dimming rear view mirror, electric sunroof, electric adjustable steering column, cruise control, auto lights.
Loving the s15s, the mr2 is sweet, the chaser is dope too.

Soarers are cool, my mate has one. It's a 1JZ Lexus SC basically, except with a weird super dated looking tach. Same platform as MK4 Supra, so theres that.

Wow. When I was in Japan in 2013 you could get r33 gtr for around 15k US$. Wow prices have really gone up
I remember similar prices when I got here in 2017. I paid 19k for mine which was a VSpec KN6 paint and low KMs. Same car goes for over 40k now lol

These prices are OK, in 1998 I paid $12,000 Australian dollars for a 93 r33 Gts-t type m turbo manual 55,000 miles.

You heard of the JGTC Supra that's abandoned in front of an old man's store? You'd be really happy if you go to see it. After the the gt500 races the car was too expensive to maintain or be used, so they gave it to him for free where he just let's it sit. The supra's been there for 15 years I think

When i go in japan my first buy is nissan skyline r34 gtr because thats my dream car
I've got the RHD Austrian Jeep Grand Cherokee in Ireland and it's the 2.7L inline 5cyl turbo diesel. In countries like Japan and Ireland, the taxes are lethal above 2.0L, so I imagine that 4.0L Jeep cost someone a small fortune to own. So it was likely cared for like their own child. haha

If you drive up a bit by 58 there is a small graveyard of 32, s14 etc by the family mart. Im pretty sure its a mechshop in front so they keep it in the back alley there. Seen it like 50 times driving passed

That mr2 is badass especially if it had a matching intake on the other side cause it looks kinda weird with it jus on one side but yeah that mr2 is pretty clean and badass. There’s a shop over here in southern Oregon that has all mr2’s sittin outside about 15-20 of em.

@@CaptTwo6 You're not going to hurt yourself on those Kei cars if you decide you're not into it and sell it on, they're becoming super desirable in the US. And a few UA-camrs with MANY subscribers are now popping up videos, so tons of people will be getting exposed to these and theres only so many to go around! I wish I had bought one during my tour in Yokosuka. But, what you need to watch out for is rust! I live permanently in Ireland now, so I dont mind restorations and time. but the Kei cars had VERY basic rust proofing (a bit of primer). I have found several Cappuccinos selling from 6 to 12k in the US, depending on condition. Mine were cheap, but were a 2 hour drive from Dublin and in sheds or front yards.

these are dirt cheap compared to the states, understandably due to shipping and other fees but still you'd probably see some of these going for 2x as much as they are there in Japan.
Yeah but luckily for the military folks out here we can ship the cars for free on the governments dime...only one per military member though

It depends on what kind of car? Evos are a little rare, GTOs and Galants are hard to find, Delicas are everywhere lol
