Very pretty Patti. I did a similar project with an old goldfish bowl and a vase using rice paper. I added tissue paper motifs. Then went over it with sparkly mod podge. They do make lovely and unusual gifts. 👍😃
Thank you BN/ I'll bet they were beautiful and the recipients loved them! I used to make votive candles that way and people really did love them. :) Patti
Just lovely 😊. Never thought about using the Matt Medium always used the DecoArt decoupage glue.. gonna try the MM next time. I like working with Mulberry paper. Until next week “coffee and Patti “. Have a nice weekend. 🌞🙃
Hi Sandra and thank you! I think I read a long time ago (when I was part of the decoupage guild) that the Matte Medium would prevent those wet spots that sometimes happen on glass. It's true..../ See you next week! Patti
I tried it on a vase I was getting ready to work on and you’re right.. it works much better than the decoupage glue. I found that it was more transparent also, which is the look I wanted. This was a gift and she really liked it. Thanks again for all of your videos.
Another beautiful project and excellent tutorial, thank you! On other tutorials I have watched you usually mention mod podge, so I assume it’s also a good medium for this kind of work? Could you please add your FB link? I look it up but by that name it doesn’t seem to be your page.
Great Patti, like the subtle shimmer =) Never used gel medium, I prefer decopatch (not decoupage!) glue for that kind of craft. This is dry within an hour.
Hello. When it comes to Napkins. Is it best to paint the glass first or just get straight into decoupaging? I have done two where I've painted the glass. I was wondering if that's necessary. 🤔 thank you
Does the matte medium help the mulberry paper to stick to glass better, or all types of paper? Thanks so much for your tutorials and book! I’ve never decoupaged before and I’ve made things I never thought possible😊
I'm doing this now and realize after the vase is dried, I forgot to once over to flatten down those fuzzies. Will the varnish take care of it or should I go over it again. I used mod podge though.
Help, I need your expert advice. I have some really gorgeous wrapping paper. Is it possible to use it to decoupage? If so please could we have a tutorial? Many thanks for all your amazing videos and craft ideas. 🌸💕🇬🇧
Thank you Mary, I think if you use a small enough print (so that the curves of the glass don't interfere with the print) you'll be ok with tissue paper. I'll give it a try in a future video! Patti
as long as you avoid MP, you'll be fine using another decoupage glue but if you're looking for a napkin decoupage glue, you can use a matte medium to get the same results. amzn.to/3yfRS3V
I like your videos but you always overuse products..You can you white glue and water..You don't need the matt medium gel at all and finish it off with a varnish.. Obviously you are promoting products
Loved the project. Especially the jute twine and the purple flowers
They look stunning. I'm a complete beginner so am looking forward to having a go.

Hi! and thank you! I have never tried decopatch glue, do you know how makes it? I've never seen it.
Patti
Magical as usual ❤️
Beautiful
Patti, please tell me where you purchased the wide file when filing away extra mulberry paper from the edge of a glass vase, thank you!
What sort of file do you use? Is it something similar to an emery board for finger nails?
Just stick rice paper and you're done. Beautuful
yes, I would still use the parchment paper over the fabric though so as not to burn the glue or the fabric
Beautiful !!!!
Thank you Carolyn!
Patti
So beautiful 😍💚
Thank you!

This is neat. How would it look if you used tissue paper that has a print?

Hi can I use Modpodge?
Thank you
Beautiful Patioelf, Ty :)
Thank you Marialena!
Patti
Can you use mod podge please ?
Very Nice!!!!! I plan to do a few in the near future. What file do you use for your projects?
I haven't seen you demonstrate anything about standing between varnish applications
Just to make sure you use the straight edges of the paper on the top edge and bottom edge and rest on the vase.
Can you use any tissue paper?
❤
What is a good substitute for amricana

Very pretty! When I saw matte, I actually thought you wouldn't be using glitter. Silly me. I should have known better Gf.
LOL, you now me so well! Hugs gf!
Where do you get the paper?😂
